I have three sets of freewell filters for my air 3. 1. The all day pack, its fantastic. The case is super strong and the original DJI gimble filter/ cover that comes with the drone fits in the case.
However the CPL do give a gimble error more often than not, and the drone thinks it has a wide angle filter on. In this case you cannot take panorama photos or use quickshots.
ND1000 /2000 I have awesome results with long exposure photography as you mentioned.
2. The split grad filters. I use these most of the time now. If you switch between the two lenses which have different appertures, there is no need to adjust setings when flying in pro mode. Flawless. The clear plastic plastic lid is cheap scratches easy and mine is cracked, but the worst thing is your oringinal DJI gimble lens does not fit in the case. So in your pocket or bag pocket you have to put it somewhere. I have dropped it and misplaced it a few times. 3. the gradient ND 2 pack. Same cheap plastic lid. And the filters ??? completely different from the quality of the other lenses. I have not taken a good photo with it, colors are just aweful, to the point they are not worth the time using as the results are un-usuable. I wouln`t even sell the on the used market.
They are that bad.
chaotic review
Great review of the new Freewell filters for the DJI Air. The Freewell kit seems very well made, and I've always had good results using their filters. Thanks for sharing, Eddie.
Totally agree, Ron. I'm going to be trying their new version which has split ND. I think that is the new way of filters going forward.
@@MrEddieNunez I’m looking forward to their split filters for the Air 3.
i just saw the intro and i said, this is here, that was in samana WoW, 👏👏
Yup! LOL
Good information, thanks for sharing !
You bet!
Eddie, great review of the filters; I’ve been using Freewell filters as my choice for several years. I do have the Air 3, All Day, 8 pack filters.
Thanks! Yeah, I think for the price - Freewell gives you the best bundle. Can't beat that All Day 8 pack.
I found these filters to be worthless. Having two cameras each with a different fixed aperture means a ND16 on the wide camera will not be the correct filter for the 3x camera. SPLIT ND FILTERS is what this drone requires. Freewell and PolarPro both have these for the Air 3. Unless everyone likes to land and change filters every time they change cameras...
They made these new after I released this video. I do agree with the split filters being the way to go.
@@MrEddieNunez their split filters doesn't have polarization tho
Good review, Eddie.
Glad you enjoyed it
I need coffee filters atm 😂
LOL
One of the things I never see on any videos regarding ND filters for drones is how many stops of light they are adjusting for. It would be helpful.
Good point. Sometimes the very basic we miss.
sad that you can't buy nd1000/2000 separately, they are only available in all day pack now and I bought 12 pack and these are only one missing in my collection
Did you check their site?
What is the difference betweet freewell and dji filter?
Split filters for both cameras. 1.7 wide angle camera lets in more light than the 70mm 2.7 so they should both have a different filter. The Freewell ones give each camera a different filter and the DJI filter doesn't.
Nice 👍👍
Thanks 👍
@@MrEddieNunez wc 😊
Did you have any glare using the circular cpl filter? Every time I fly whole recording I get a glare across my video.
No glare. Are you ensuring the lens is clean?
Guys how we use the CPL filter put shutter and iso on auto or manual like ND filter we lock the shutter iso ?
CPL should be auto
what nd filter number for shooting at midday at a sunny bright day? thanks man
On the Air 3? A ND32 or ND64. Just depends on how bright and contrasty your environment is.
Bought this filters, have strange situation, past 2 changes of filters on drone, ND 16 and ND 32 drone detect like wide angle lense, you not know whai its can be ? on first uses not has any problems with filters, but on 2-3rd started ?
Are you fully inserted the filters on all of the clips/grooves?
I bought these filters. When I remove DJI's own UV filter and put on this ND filter, a lot of light and fog cover the camera. If we cannot use it together with the UV filter, these filters will not work.
I bought the Mega pack from Freewell that comes with 12 filters.. And I have to say, I’m super disappointed that it didn’t come with that 8 filter case or even a 12 filter case.. Came with 3 4pack cases.. Yes that’s petty, but not for the money I paid smh
Maybe 12 is too much to fit in a case? Did you try emailing them and see if they can ship you a 8 pack case? That’s what I would do.
But freewell is the same price as dji's filter so why use the alternative?
Better quality, less color shift.
Nd filters r the biggest scam and don't get me started with cpl filters. People pay so much for thi crap that u can edit in. What's a case got to do with what a picture looks like anyways?
You are 100% incorrect. How would you achieve video motion blur at the correct frame rate, or long exposure photography, or even correct light reflections from glass/water without a filter. Certaintly cannot be done in post.
Every shot looked too dark.
