- It's a Jagdpanzer, of course it jagds panzers. Why else would they call it that?
This is a very nice 35th scale kit from Border Models. It's ended up looking pretty nice, despite the numerous mistakes I made when building it. Maybe my mistakes can help you though.
The photo etch schurtzen is nice. I like that it's easy to remove. That'll make painting easier.
Fun times!

hello, what kind of glue do you use for etching? thanks.
Super glue
Another CZcams modeler says we should take parts that don’t fit in stride, and expecting everything to fit perfectly reduces us to assemblers. I’ve told you that I’m old. In the 50s and 60s details tended to be very soft but parts fit, dammit. IMO kit makers are obsessing a little too much on sharp details and parts count (e. g. separate tools instead of molded on) while letting fit slide. Maybe it’s just that lower-tier makers (in other words not Tamiya) don’t want to spend the money to get it right, maybe standards are just lower industry-wide.
What say you?
I mean... anyone building models is an assembler, some just add more steps.
Personally I like it when stuff fits nicely and don't usually want to spend hours arsing about, though it's good to be able to do that arsing about when you need or want to.
I do think sometimes manufacturers have the idea that more parts just for the sake of it is better and have photo etch for the sake of photo etch because photo etch = detail (or something) But more parts isn't necessarily a bad thing either.
I like that there's a lot of variety of kits nowdays, there's stuff that's detailed and has a lot of parts. There are more simple kits that are still well detailed and there's stuff that's exactly the same as it was in the 60s. There's something for just about everyone.
Adding damage to photoetch? I call that "putting photoetch on the model".
