The echo of these ringing bells awake our inner spirit and clean our mind from negative thoughts, and helps to concentrate only on your deity. The sounds of the temple bells lasts minimum for seven seconds that touches seven healing centers or chakras of our body 🙏🏻

God is Omniscient, the most ancient One, the Controller, subtler than the subtlest, the Support of all, and the possessor of an inconceivable divine form; He is brighter than the sun, and beyond all darkness of ignorance. One who at the time of death, with unmoving mind attained by the practice of Yog, fixes the prāṇ (life-airs) between the eyebrows, and steadily remembers the Divine Lord with great devotion, certainly attains Him.
      Bhagavad Gita 7.8

Im amazed to know that you have visited geetapress gorakhpur. This is the organisation which single handedly has made possible to reach the religious text at every home in India in various languages and in most authentic way possible. We can say that this organisation has single handedly has preserved very large amount of the indian scriptures. This is a non profit organization and it provides spritual books at very minimal price that i don't think any other organisations can be compared with them.
Let me give you an example
I have 2 books from this organisation.
Both are in very good hardcover with wrapping of red cloth on the hardcover (because hindu scriptures has to be kept in red cotton cloth and many people don't do it so they already make their hardcover wrapped in red cotton cloth).so 1st book is of more than 1300 pages and the book is not even in small size(like it's pretty big in length and breadth also) and it cost me less than 5 dollars and another book is of 800 pages and it cost me 2 dollars only. Hardcover, fine quality 800 pages for just 2 dollars. You can imagine.

Lord Shiva isn't taking selfie. He is shown doing Tandava (The dance of destruction when he decides to destroy everything in world due to increased sins) and the selfie thing in his hand is Damroo - a very basic musical instrument, which depicts infinity form (♾️) So when Lord Shiva decides to play Damrroo, it means he is about to create/ decimate everything in universe by his anger doing Tandava ( Dance of destruction)

Scientific theory is that their are different types of bell in different temples. And if get any health related issues pandits used to send people in specific temples for numbers of days, so if you ring bell and stand underneath it it can kill some harmful bacterias and also makes u to concentrate before entering a temple were u can connect with spirituality.

  • @tonycreations3367
    @tonycreations3367 Před měsícem +3

The bell is to be rung and the person has to stand below it till the sound resonates, it brings the mind to 'one point concentration, after that the devotee is in a position mentally to take the "darshan" of the deity which helps the energy of that deity to sink in. One can feel the difference of a high definition bell in remote temples. Same is the purpose of chanting "Aum", thrice before starting any spiritual ritual/dhyan.

Temple Bell / Ghanta is the Sanskrit term for a ritual bell used in Hinduistic religious practices. There are bells specially made to produce the long strains of the sound Aum. The sound of the bell is said to disengage mind from ongoing thoughts thus making the mind more receptive. Bell ringing during prayer is said to help in controlling the ever wandering mind and focusing on the deity.
From Kundalini Yoga perspective, the sound of bell energizes Chakras and balances the distribution of energy in body. Also, the number of times the bell should be sounded depends on the number of letters in the mantra; accordingly the bell should be sounded 8, 16, 24, or 32 times. In Shilpa Shastras it is mentioned that bell should be made of panchadhatu - five metals, namely, copper, silver, gold, zinc and iron. These 5 metals represent the pancha bhoota.
And also silver, brass temple bells can be rung to dislodge stagnant energy.

The body of the bell illustrates अनन्त which means infinity, while the tongue of the bell represents Goddesses Saraswati.

And most importantly you get to eat delicious prasad( food offered to deity). I first joined iskcon in college for the food only as i wasn't getting any good food on reaching college, but after that i liked the philosphy. Now as i am working i donate some money so that other students can also get free food like i was getting. also i go to temple for classes once a week.

Ashram is a generic term which means a Hindu monastery. Unless one mentions the specific name of an ashram the entire town of Rishikesh is dotted with many of such institutions. Please correct me if I'm wrong but it seemed like you shared a small clip of that same ashram on Instagram on your birthday!
A motorized rickshaw like the one you travelled in is called an Auto-rickshaw or Auto in short while a manually pulled one which is becoming rare to find these days is called a Rickshaw.
Also those lion, boar and horse faced deities were different avatars of Lord Vishnu to serve specific purposes.
It's good to see that you enjoyed your time there in Rishikesh. Hope you found what you were looking for. 🥂

And the dude which you didn't knew tearing apart egoistic king Hiranyakahyapu (who considered himself God of earth and asked everybody on earth to worship him instead of almighty gos) was Lord Vishnu in Narasimha avataar. When he decided to change life form on earth from premitive developed stages to learned and smart animals/ kind of human beings when life forms started to be kind of some knowledge/ educated.
