Marc, u picked the wrong video LOL! That's not even from her channel. Somebody just uploaded that from one of her 2 hour livestreams where her fans request songs. Check out her THROUGH THE FIRE, BETTER DAYS, OFFICIALLY MISSING YOU, ALL I ASK, etc. They're laughing bc that's not rehearsed & they didn't know that song well. Most songs from the livestreams turn out good, & those are the ones they upload on their channel Gigi De Lana & Gigi Vibes. The musicians are actually amazing, you just have to see the good ones, the ones we suggest. Gigi's channel was very small 2 yrs ago. In just a short time, they increased their followers & now have over a million subs. Through the Fire has 35 million views in just 1 year.

This wasn't written specifically for Celine Dion as you indicated. Jim Steinman wrote this much earlier than the Dion version was released. It was first recorded by Pandora's Box in 1989 produced by Steinman, on the concept album Original Sin. In addition, Meat Loaf had actually wanted to record this song as well, but was stopped by Steinman. Meat Loaf had claimed it was given to him for Bat out of Hell 2, all the way back in 1986. This is way before Celine's version in 1996. (Meat Loaf would go on to perform the song in duet on Bat out of Hell III in 2006)

The band is pretty good all the time but yeah they joke around a lot during their livestreams and they play pranks on her all the time too. This was not their 100%

@@MarcDanielPatrick From what I know, it's not in a garage. They started doing livestreams in Gigi's living room about 2 yrs ago, when the pandemic started. Everything closed down in the Philippines. Businesses were closed & they had no gigs (they mostly play in parties & weddings). For many months, they had no money coming in, as in zero income. One of the band members recounted the story in one of their videos. He was crying bc he could barely feed his family. The band moved in with Gigi & they slept in her tiny living room, which they turned into their music studio during the day. Some of their followers would donate money during livestreams. They had to buy a router to get internet connection & it took them 2 months to earn the money. Early on, they only had a few subs. Two yrs later they have 1.4 million subs. Gigi slowly became more popular, started doing commercials, tv appearances & starred in a mini-series. Now she has a new house where they do their livestreams. This band has been together close to 10 yrs. All the hard work paid off.
It's a half serious take on the song by Gigi and her band. You've got to see her other covers when she is in her elements because she is one spectacular vocalist. You can't judge how good she really is in just one cover especially Gigi.

not bad. lacks a little passion of the original.. written for Celine Dion??.. might find it was written for Meat Loaf's Bat 2 album.. but put to one side because the album was getting way to long.. so Jim Steinman released it on his Pandora's Box project, and sang by Elaine Caswell.. it was later picked up by Celine
