- #Mecpow #MecpowX3ProLaserengraver Detailed assembly and startup of the Mecpow X3 Pro laser.
This is done in great detail and may be 'boring' if you are experienced with assembly of this type of thing.
This is done in detail for those that are not experienced.
Disclosure: This laser was provided to me to test and demonstrate. I am not compensated beyond this in any way and all opinions are my own.
More videos on this laser will follow as I put it through the "paces".

by far the best instructional video on the assembly of this laser. without this, I would be completely in the dark
It's also really cool that a huge number of new lasers are coming with air.
Put mine together tonight with you giving the instructions in the background. Put the install manual right back in the box since I'm only fluent in english. :-) Thanks!
Great product review. Appoears to be a good 10W unit. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this starter laser. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Just got a new Pro3 10W and wanted you to know that they changed the legs and have added a slot that you can pull the chain through. No more going crazy trying to bend it down and then up to be caught by the washer. They must have listened to your video because the ends on my chain curled up to make it easier to thread.
Good to hear!
looks like a nice 10W unit THANKS
Great job, as usual, but I didn`t see where you installed the laser or air assist
Camera battery died and I didn't notice, but those two items are pretty self explanatory.
Another good video! I'm thinking about buying one of these. Do you know if the Xtool RA2 Pro rotary attachment will work on this laser? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Yes it will as xTool supplies multi use cables in the kit. Just unplug the Y axis motor and use the adapter with the kit.
one of the best instruction videos I've seen but after every paid promo video there are large skips in you video. like mounting the laser and installing the air pump all skipped.
I would like to start working with a laser like this so I am wondering if it can cut 4mm plywood, thanks a lot in advance😁
Yes, but not in one pass. May take 3-4 depending on plywood.
And how in the world do you get all the review gear? Do they let you keep them?
Sometimes I buy them. Sometimes items are provided to me to review, and in most cases, I get to keep them. i do not accept payment or sponsors to make review videos.
Is it possible to change the 10W to a 20W or higher power?
Possibly. The mount on the X3 looks identical (in photos) to the X5. However, it may require a larger power supply brick and a larger head may have a different number of pins on the connection. Best would be to contact Mecpow.
@@rogersshopchecked with mecpow, can't be done
And is it a given that every laser produced comes with that same cheap flimsy blue USB cable?
So, this is your 20th laser? :)
Yes, and I just received my xTool S1 two days ago. I have sold several of the older lasers and will probably sell a few more later this month. Running out of room and some of the older models do not have the features of the newer ones. Same with 3D printers. I have recently purchased newer, faster models, so will be selling some of my old ones.
Not a big fan of that rocker switch for power. All too easy to accidentally bump those.
