YOu are such an inspiration. I moved from NYC up to snowy Rochester, NY (way way way upstate) and have for years collected many pieces similar to yours; It is so unfortunate that up here it is an act of bravery to wear just about anything other than really standard looking mall junk .. I get all kinds of stares and whatnot. Its really an art and is not appreciated in many places outside of big cities unfortunately..
I love Rochester! I can totally relate, sometimes the weather is enough to just give in to the standard stuff. I go through my collection about once a month and separate out what I want to wear and put it in its own box on my dresser. Kind of like the way stylists make a rack (or a rail) for the week. I love hearts, I love sterling, I gasped at the first necklace! In fact today I’m wearing a sterling heart link choker layered with a sterling heart locket on a simple chain! that would def be my signature piece too if it were mine! Oh my gosh, I just about died when I saw your 20s flapper girl in a monical and hat! I found a ladies cigarette laquer red box from the edwardian era. She is smoking and a cat is balancing on a chair begging for the cigarette and she is giving it to him. Just love your taste in jewellery! I also love the heavy chunky sterling pieces from Mexico in bracelets! Believe it or not i also owned a large Victorian sterling locket with swallows on it too, I regret to this day selling it at auction. Love love love your taste and your collections!

Thank you Olga T , I really appreciate the feedback! I have a reference library and a lot of material collected over the years, but the best way is to just look at all you can whenever you can. Go everywhere from museums to flea markets. I make new videos every week and jewelry is my number one discipline so I think it will show up a lot! :)

I love Schiaparelli! When I first began, around 8 years ago, it was just as a reseller. So, I sold pieces I wish I hadn't now. But, I recently scored a Schiaparelli brooch with matching clip-on earrings. I was so excited when I saw them. It was at goodwill in the glass case at the register. I happened to squat down and look closely and noticed a cheap plastic organizing compartment tray with snap on lid for 24.95. When I opened it my jaw dropped! It had many small jewelry treasures, but the Schiaparelli was the big win for me!

So many great pieces. I feel a connection to you. Like you I started my vintage jewelry collection when I was 15 and am now 50. When you said the RLM collar outfit could read 80s, all it needed was shoulder pads... I was saying and slouchy boots instead of knee highs. I absolutely LOVE your signature locket and the old picture in it just makes it better! 💗🖤

I love watching your videos, although this is only my second one. You are very knowledgeable and very charming. I can't decide what are my favorites. I have many 50's SS made in Mexico, mask bracelets, but nothing like your incredible jade one. Wow. I also love, anything Zuni. I have a black jet necklace that was my Grandma's, Grandma. My Grandma was born in 1903 so it is super old. The necklace was broken in many places. It was all hand knotted. I re-hand knotted the entire necklace which was a pain, but I love it.

I am a kindled spirit. I collect costume jewelry and love my American Indian jewelry and silver cuffs . I also collect Frida Kahlo style earrings from Oaxaca Mexico which I wear all the time. I love big jewelry no small jewelry for me. Enjoyed your video and your black and white women bracelets!

Hi I watched another video of yours you mentioned a glass rosary I thought the one I have was crystals and gold.so it could be glass I got from my uncle on my first. Communion as a child I called it my diamond necklace I remember keep asking my mother about it and then forgot till I was older when she passed I got it back I'm 64now and I can't remember if I was 7-8 years old when he gave it me .

Yes~ start with a magnet for metal, and try to feel the weight and temp, of stones, look for inclusions and condition, and invest in a presidium and acids for when you get things home :)
