love your channel and daily uploads! its very helpful how you sometimes pause and give the viewer a chance to look for tactics, and the running themes you have for the different strats makes them easier to remember. plus the humor keeps the video light and flowing! im tryna climb the elo but im really just putting off doing puzzles 😭😭

Evidently, maybe NOW everybody realizes that it may be beneficial in today's chess with so many good/great players knowing many lines soo deep that, just like Magmaximus, it may be better to surprise even him with off-beat openings sometimes!

it would be helpful to have the moves highlighted. i'm not sure if that's a setting you've purposely turned off, but when i make a move, both the starting square and the destination square are highlighted. it makes it a lot easier to follow when you rattle off 3 or 4 moves in rapid succession. just a thought. keep up the good work, i love your channel!

Hey Great Game James I’ve been having difficulty with the live feed to the candidates sometimes I’m not sure if I’m watching a replay or the actual live feed but had more than enough time to watch this game the pace of the candidate games pretty slow this guy that played Black complained about the same guy as Kramlik Jospem maybe there’s something to that Thanks Again enjoy your day

Is Magnus getting rusty? As an old fogey, I approve of this result.

Pro athletes (in a strenuous sport) usually peak out somewhere in their 30's. But what about mental athletes like chess players, scientists, novelists, etc? Much later in life, obviously, but at what age can Magnus be expected to really begin to lose it? If he becomes bored with it and looks other avenues to express his intellect then that would greatly hasten his decline, or possibly cause him to walk away entirely from it.
Big fan of your channel; have you considered doing some older games - something like a José Raúl Capablanca or an Emanuel Lasker series in between your regular videos? Some of Agadmator's best videos are his analysis of old time games; and your commentary on these could add a fresh perspective.
(I mean, could you imagine: "it was here that Capablanca, naked and unafraid, went pure Fleetwood Mac, going his own way..." 😂)
