- This is a different SW build to the other guider published on my channel. This is an end game crit focused built that I have been having a lot of fun with
I have included a brief guide to LoMM bosses as a soul weaver
Feel free to ask questions in the comments - Hry
Lair of the Mad Mage guide starts at 30:35.
In the boreworm fight you will notice a couple of DPS go down. This is because they were not close enough for me to heal. You want to basically have the 3 x DPS and Tank stand in a square shape with you in the middle. They will need to move to avoid boulders but need to try to keep this formation. You then target whoever has the group up mechanic with soul reconstruction and with our outgoing healing we can keep everyone alive. If Golems target DPS they should kill the golems. Just make sure tank keeps aggro on a couple and leave them alive for the next phase
I make errors in this fight but this was my first attempt with this tactic. This is much smoother now and will release a clean run video shortly
Finally I find someone who goes into great detail on how to make the build I started playing a couple of weeks ago and was struggling now I have a good idea on what I have to do thanks for the video
Nice to see a warlock healer build, they do need some love! Thanks for this. Just a note, the daily perk buff from rings don’t stack, so you actually getting a 3% more damage from daily powers, not 6%
AH ok cool thanks for that. I mainly pick the rings for the high crit strike numbers, but did not know these did not stack
I leveled as a soulweaver. And sadly had no idea this video was around but that said it is so nice to see my final product being close to where you are( not so much the gear yet ) I will say the warlock healing seems to be more of a challenge which is nice. Maybe they can tweak a spell so we see more warlock healers around 💪🏻 thank you for doing this video I learned a lot here and will start applying it right away! Maybe you can get with a tank and do a crazy farming video where you pull an insane amount or something 😂
This is very very well done. I healed LOMM first few weeks it was doable on pc but stopped because dps is so much easier. So much new insight for me. Your team needs to be open to listening and doing things differently though. THANKS
Thanks it is not easy as a soulweaver and you need a good team. I agree DPS is much easier and less stressful :)
You can replace a Quickling for a Faithful Initiate (must be in GREEN color because the PURPLE gives different stats). I have it on my Soulweaver.
Thank u so much u save my character warlock soulweaver
Glad it helped! :)
I don't know if you have already m8 but, could you please have an updated warlock dps guide? I'm new to the game and struggling with stat balancing. As an example I hear loads of people talking about stat caps or spoft caps or whatever but I have no clue as to what the cap actually is, say for example armor pen or crit strike etc.....Loving the content btw! Cheers :) Also if you could clarify the way mounts buff work regarding what they have equiped, same goes fo course to the companions!
Yeah I will put a DPS guide up shortly. I have only done LoMM a couple of times on it so want a few more runs to make sure the build works ok.
In regards to caps if you look at a dungeon in the queue it will have an enemy rating. Lair of the Mad Mage is 18k. You then basically add 50k to this and this is the stats you need to aim for. As a rule just aim for 68k across the board on your offensive stats and push Power and Combat Advantage as high as you can
Do not worry too much about capping defensive stats as in mod 16 it is not needed, however in the next mod it looks like it will be
For mounts you have 5 insignia bonuses you can select and they are all active all the time. You can pick one stat to boost you such as 5k Power, 5k crit, etc...
Companions you have 5 slots 3 x offensive, 1 x defence and 1 x utility. You slot companions into these and these stats get directly transferred to you
EDIT: Just seen you said you are new you should be ok to just aim for 60k across the board on stats for now that will be enough in most zones.
Cool, I'll try to do this someday. Lol, poor noob, I am.
Hi thanks for this video, I'm working on my build just wondered why take curse bite? Doesn't it only damage mobs that are cursed? Wouldn't I be better to take harrow, spark and bargain or spark, harrow and blades for the deflection boost? Also I run holy on my weapon for the defense boost and does that still work with this build? I dont use an augment companion instead I use ghost for the 3% on hit any thoughts?
You should definitely run an augment as it will boost all your stats considerably as they give you more transferred stats than other companions. The powers are really personal preference. I use curse bite to help a bit with dps as harrow storm curses all the targets I then use Curse bite. However in tough content I would probably use warlocks bargain
I have not played Neverwinter for months as the content just doesn't change enough to warrant coming back to play new mods, so take what I say with a pinch of salt :)
Thanks for this video it inspired me to dust off my old warlock since being disappointed with its dps in mod 16 I have only been playing DC, now have had a ton of fun getting my warlock soulweaver up to par
Warlock is a lot more fun than DC just not as potent in the healing department. I am curious to see how it fares in mod 17 with the nerfs to clerics and pallys
Fuzzy Duckzy agree 100% I think my warlock is close to healing in LOMM will just need my usual group but I heal everything else with him and in raq the warlock does great and 1000% more fun than the dc I am hoping for some buffs to come in mod 17 along with the nerfs from the others and the much needed change to essence drain
Quick question have you been able to test out the changes that are currently in preview. From the forums looks like that formula is changing for healers as well just wondering if you have tested these changes on the soulweaver
No not yet I have not been on my PC account for a while. I am hoping to get a video out this week going through changes as vorpal has been nerfed and queues have changed yet again!
Fuzzy Duckzy looking forward to the video
How I get this main Hand sword
So does the tactical outweigh the dark bonus?
It all depends on what stats you need and what content you run. Tacticals make it much easier for the healer in tougher content, but if you would not hit caps without your dark enchants you might want to consider keeping them. In this content, as a soulweaver Tacticals could be the difference between living and dying so I will always have them slotted in LoMM
Even with all rank 15 dark enchantments you will maybe see a 4k increase in all stats, which is good, but considering you will probably be capped on a lot of those stats anyway it may not be as good as it first seems
Updated build video??? Right now i use. Harrowstorm. The spark heal thing. And the last bargain. But someone told me i need to use pillar instead of harrowstorm
I will try and get it done this weekend. I use Harrow Storm, Shatter Spark then a DPS encounter for mobs as PoP is pointless if you are moving. However for bosses I use PoP, Harrowstorm and Shatterspark
Are all the companions legendary to get the 10% outgoing heal?
Yes you get 6% for Rare, 8% for Epic and 10% Legendary. Epic and Rare will do fine it is only for min maxing that you want to get to 10%
will you update this after the new formula build is live? seems the dps struggle will be real
Yeah I am bringing out a video covering off the changes and will then make a new warlock update video once we have the changes on console
The real question, are heals subject to the 60 or 68k crit cap aka 50% crit chance?? Or can we achieve 100 percent crit chance ?
I do not think we can hit 100% from what I have tested anyway. I have pushed my crit up to 150k and my power right down and could not get past 50%
Roger that! Thank you so much @@FuzzyDuckzy. I had already built my SW to take 25% of everyone's damage, had 35% outgoing heals and 52% incoming heals. I had no idea that our crit % needed to be so high. Thanks to you I will rebuild 1 more time and test again. Sincere thanks to you Fuzzy!
@@stevenxowens792 no problem. Yeah we have to push our crit pretty high but definitely worth it
i do have a question about LOMM in the trobriand fight after the 4 teslas on my DC always cast hallowed ground to keep everyone alive for the big hit coming what do you do as a soaulweaver to keep everyone alive?
I do not think we have an encounter that reduces damage. The Tesla phase damage depends on how slow you kill the coils. I have only ever run Soulweaver with my guild and our DPS are pretty stacked so we make quick work of the coils. However if some DPS are only pushing damage they may still go down if they are only rocking 250k HP.
With mod 17 they will need to change this anyway as that will not be anywhere near enough HP for the new trial
The more important thing is to try and keep everyone from going down during the fight as each time they are bought back from a downed state they lose 10% of their stats through thanks to revive sickness
Fuzzy Duckzy thanks for the reply and the key for the healer even my DC to keep everyone alive during trobriand is that the dps don’t burn him to fast to pull all the scorpions once that happens even the best DC will run out of divinity and people will go down. Now trying to convince DPS that they need to do that easier said then done
@@FuzzyDuckzy So yesterday I added a load out that swaps staff of flowers in my active artifact with sigil of the paladin and ran that from the bore worm till the end and it was magical. It really helped with the bore worm fight the first round when i ran out of soul sparks i put the sigil of paladin I also used it in trobriand when multiple scorpions came out and at the big hit after the Tesla coils.
@@jasonbraine8743 Yeah I like it when the tank runs this although I think it gets nerfed in mod 17 :(
bit of a bad reconstruction for sw heal, you have 65% outgoing heal.... thats rediculously high haha i heal lomm with 20% outgoing but i do it with complete other feats n powers
So your outgoing and incoming healings are close to 100%?
I think they are both around 65% base and probably go up a bit with buffs
Is soulweaver a better healer than a devout cleric?
Nowhere near unfortunately. Cleric and Paladin are both a long way ahead of the Warlock. I like a challenge though and enjoy the playstyle. You could get a 20k cleric and paladin through LoMM, but you would have zero chance of getting a 20k Soulweaver through
Are you changing any gear/companion gear now that mod 17 have been launched for consoles?
I do not think so. I will obviously aim for the new companion gear but the build will stay pretty much as it is. I have been super busy IRL so not even logged into Neverwinter for about 2 weeks, but plan to hit mod 17 up this week
Btw, did the crit healing formula changed on mod 17? Or is it still the same?
@@tiagogoncalves6564 It did change I am not sure exactly what to at the moment as a bit out of the loop, but from what I have seen you crit now has to exceed your power by a long way so it is best just to build pure power. I will try and confirm and maybe bring out an updated guide
So you wont build into crit anymore?
@@tiagogoncalves6564 I have not tested it properly but I think I'm gonna go power and concentrate more on capping defensive stats
Where did you get the quickling companion from?
I think it is only one that came from an event that no longer exists so there is only a limited supply so they are likely to be very expensive. If you do not have one I would not bother buying it I am pretty sure some new companions will come out with healing bonuses at some point.
I got mine from the demogorgon chest
@@rudischmalz4996 Oh nice. It must still drop in game then which is good to know
What transmute is that your wearing??
They are all fashion items. The head is blacksmiths goggles and the bottoms are Dragonborn ceremonial leggings. I can't remember what the body was. They are then all dyed black and red
Fuzzy Duckzy dang! The body is what I was wondering about haha. Thanks anyway!
Wait, doesn't critical strike cap at 68k?
Yes in mod 16 crit caps at 68k for LoMM. The cap varies depending on the content you do. In mod 17 it goes up to 80k but only for the new trial
But healers don't have the same cap as crit works differently. You can never really have too much
@@FuzzyDuckzy Thank you!
any chance i could get u to look at my lock and give me some healer pointers?
Sure what platform do you play on?
Pc if u happen to b there
If discord would b easier im on there also
@@KillerQueenGhostie OK cool I will send you discord details when I get home :)
@@FuzzyDuckzy ok, thank ya sir
Any chance that I can add you
Sure xbox tag is adders79
I like sw a lot and it look like cleric is getting nerfed in mod 17 so thats good news... Hate that aaaaa.... Aaaaaaa
Yeah be interesting to see how SW holds up in mod 17. I want to know what these changes are to crit chance heals too. Looks like they were deliberately vague in their patch notes
