- The U.S. Marshals Service was the first federal law enforcement agency in the United States. Federal marshals have served the country since 1789, often in unseen but critical ways. The Marshals Service occupies a uniquely central position in the federal justice system. We are the enforcement arm of the federal courts, involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative. Presidentially appointed U.S. marshals - one for each federal judicial district - direct the activities of 94 districts. Approximately 3,571 deputy U.S. marshals and criminal investigators form the backbone of the agency. The duties of the U.S. Marshals Service include protecting the federal judiciary, apprehending federal fugitives, managing and selling seized assets acquired by criminals through illegal activities, housing and transporting federal prisoners, and operating the Witness Security Program.
I am proud to say that my cousin is a U.S. Marshal and he puts his whole heart into what he does. Before this he was a Navy Seal then worked as a police officer for a while and even got shot while on duty. Needless to say, he survived and came back stronger than ever by joining the U.S. Marshals. I have an immense amount of respect for him! In short, I think he’s pretty badass!!!

I will never forget the day I was making coffee at nearly 5am, it was dark outside with just enough light to see what was going on, mainly supplied by the outdoor lamp posts that are on our rural property... I see a bunch of men with their weapons drawn on my property, surrounding my neighbor's property line. Now my neighbor's actual home is kinda far away, it's a rural area. I thought I was seeing things. Then my phone starts blowing up, my husband who was my fiance then, is a detective, calls to tell me to stay inside, lock the doors and go nowhere, he will be there shortly.
Then I see it. I see a dude running into a barn. I see them corner him and pull him out.
Turns out, my neighbor had a friend or relative staying who was a violent sexual predator who they had been searching high and low for.
Scary stuff but exciting at the same time!

There should be an elite force of US Marshals that report DIRECTLY to the Supreme Court without going through the bureaucracy of the Executive. When politicians themselves become enemies of the constitution, flouting their laws and enforcement in flagrant violation of that Sacred Writ, they should live in fear of the Supreme Marshals, who could be anyone anywhere and ever able to catch them in moments of negligence and vulnerability; covertly detain them; then drag them before the Judiciary.

From what I've heard it's easier to join another federal law enforcement agency and then lat move (or whatever it's called) to the marshals
@@elchuzalongo4339 because nobody leaves them so there aren't a lot of jobs available within the Marshals Service. Which is both good and bad , good because it shows that they're a great organization to be employed by and bad because there aren't really going to be as many opportunities to get in.
Its a very selective and competitive process to go through.
Well aware of US Marshals because of the very handsome Lenny DePaul! Manhunters shows their contribution to Justice just as Cops shows us the risk they take to protect and serve.

I was charged with "assault" after three guys shot the windows out of my daughter's house with my 3 toddler granddaughters inside, and I took one of the assailants down outside. I was cleared in superior court, and released. The marshals broke my door in two months later, threw my wife across the room, three guys jumped on me while I was sleeping in my bed, they had guns drawn on me, terrified my wife, injured my back, and then couldn't stop telling themselves how proud they were for getting the "bad guy" I'm friends with a couple of decent cops, but not impressed with the way these particular marshals acted, or the state that made a clerical mistake and allowed this to happen in the first place.......
I think they don't care about who did what, they just take you in and don't work as the Judge, Jury or executioner. Sucks that you had to face that though, it doesn't seem like thats the norm
@@TemmieContingenC I don't hold a grudge, I have a couple of friends that are cops and respect all others (that act professional) and would still help the very guys that wrongfully jumped me if they were in trouble. That unfortunately doesn't take away my disappointment in the system in general, and the disdain I have towards those that abuse their power or other corrupt individuals that are wrongfully going after good/decent people. It's a different world out there today and all we can do is try our best to support one another and do our best to keep our own integrity in check. Peace brother.

@@AP-se9ok you know, I've never even considered filing a law suit against ANYONE in my whole life, and always tried to respect the police (even when I've done stupid sht as a kid) so I did not file a law suit against them, but often think I should have because I'm still pretty irritated about what they did to this day, especially the way they immediately came after ME rather than going after the group of people that was just shooting at my daughter and toddler granddaughters that night, and for assaulting my wife (throwing her across the room) and traumatizing her when they jumped me in my sleep and brought me to jail based on a court error that was cleared up a couple days later when I was released again. I was angry enough that day (both at my initial arrest, and when the Marshals jumped me months later) to tell them to thier faces on the ride to jail while they sat all around me in the truck bragging to eachother about how good they are, that they are lucky I wasn't sleeping with a weapon when they illegally broke in and attacked me, and they laughed and said "that wouldn't have worked out too good for you, because theres 4 of us" and I replied "go ask the 3 pricks with guns that just shot at my kids and grandkids how it worked out for them" and in that moment, I honestly was enraged enough to know for a fact I had the strength and ability to do some REAL damage to that group of "professionals" and was real close to risking everything to teach them a lesson, or die trying because of what they had done and how arrogant and smug they were about it. Real heros, jumping a 175 lb grandfather in his sleep that defended his family on thier own property, after the case was dismissed. In the end I know I did the right thing by doing nothing that day, but it still burns me up when I think about it to this day. My name being published in the paper multiple times over this also affected my business and I've never recovered from it either, and is another reason I'm bitter when I think about it. In the end, I should have sued them and not for the money, but to expose what they did, and put thier egos back in check to hopefully smarten them up and help others avoid being treated like that in the future. Like I said, no grudge overall, but it still bothers me when I think about it.
I'm sorry you had to experience this. These guys get an order and they follow it, they're not the judge and jury. I wish I knew more about your case, it doesn't make sense why they would do that, were you cleared in court and then they came even after that? If so, it seems like some paperwork got screwed up somewhere. If it happened prior to going through court, I can see why it happened.
Regardless, I can understand why you did what you did to protect your family, I am glad you were cleared of any wrong doing, I know in some states them being outside would not cut it, like where I live there is no stand your ground law either.
Either way, I hope you and your family are moving in a positive direction after being faced with such a horrific chain of events.

There are some overlapping jurisdictions. Generally, FBI investigates several different areas of crime to include nonviolent offenses, while USMS investigations focus on violent fugitives, sex offenders and missing & exploited children.

When we arrived there wasn't any Iraqi SWAT team or vehicles on the objective but everyone dismounted but without shovels. 1st American M-67 hand grenade bounce off my turret shield and landed on platoon on-line which New PSG SSG Richard "White Lighted" the grenade identified(pin pulled but Spoon Safety was still On) and asked if anyone has dropped a grenade? Then got an Up on our hand grenades. Then a explosion happen in front of my MRAP on 22 SSG Ramos my Squad Leader ground guiding the MRAP. So Us Military are government AKA G.I. means Government Issue so. By the actions of my Chain of Command taught me it's allowed to Setup your guys to get murdered as long as BBC TV News station is video taping. If that not True then Should bring War charges against CPT Gucherio and 1Sgt Kevin Armstrong OIF6 Retired SGM commander of CVMA in Clarksville TN. Charge them with 25 counts aggregated assaults and 5 attempted murders for SSG Ramos and grenade bounce off my turret shield and landed on platoon on-line which New PSG SSG Richards and the 2 soldiers on either sides of SSG Richards.

The FBI investigates federal crimes and build cases to prosecute offenders. The USMS does a variety of functions: protect the federal courts, witness security, extraditions, fugitive investigations, present prisoners to federal court, asset forfeiture and seizure, JPATS (Con Air) and more. One is not “better” than the other, just different.

About the same distance was a Legal state Marijuana new store. I just did all the filters, oils, gear oils, transfer case fluid and transmission on my newer Duramax Diesel. Chevy dealers stuff didn't tell me the increments of a Diesel. Plus with new injectors set used a Army Emergency Relief loan, DPF Filter. Then a guy pours water in fuel tank because I didn't want to hangout. Saw him at O'REILLYs buying HEET because someone just did him and poured water his convertible VW Beetle gas tank.
