I feel sorry for people in the comments saying that they’re being ridiculous for reacting like this. They’re watching THEIR CHILD do all these rather dangerous acrobatics high up in the air, where one slip would be disastrous for her health. OF COURSE they’re nervous. And not only that, they have watched her and stood by her for YEARS while she has trained and sweat and cried and prepared for this. OF COURSE they’re rooting for her. They know how much this means to her. All their reactions show us just how loved and supported Aly is.

You can tell that they support their daughter. I understand how they feel in that moment. My daughter plays volleyball and when the game starts I cannot sit straight and then I usually have tears in my eyes because I am so proud of her. I’ve seen her play for years and I still get emotional when I watch her. It takes a lot if hard work and sacrifice to make it at the Olympics and for my daughter playing at the university level. There is nothing more rewarding then watching your child succeed in whatever they are doing.
This is the perfect visual representation of the intensely stressful and anxiety rich life of parents supporting their children. Parents are literally rolling on each bar along with their child. They are with her with every single move. So so heart warming and real. Children don't realize what it's like for parents... this is so sp relatable
