Man! You can really hear Roger in Thomas' playing. Amazing! I was just waiting to hear the Solfege come flying out while working with these players.

I agree with what he says about articulations... the attack is everything on striking through the orchestra in recording... so easy to overlook, all about that initial transient in the sound that gives the tone any substance at all

I think the one in the yellow shirt is from Northwestern, pretty sure I saw a video of him playing with the Northwestern Trumpet Ensemble, he played piccolo on an arrangement of Von Suppe's Poet and Peasant Overture. Unless they just look really similar haha

It's like Bam Margera meets a Recess live action cast and they live in a world where trumpet playing is all that matters

It's a learning experiance, so it's good that they are not all playing the parts they are currently best at.

It is time to leave with prejudice when an instructor or teacher picks up an instrument and plays the part for the pupil. When a teacher does that it is a clear indication that individual cannot articulate the lesson being taught. No matter how smart you are nor how well you play the preforming individual will always be behind the instrument therefore behind the sound. This video portrays a great example of how to cheat the student.
