- It becomes necessary to remind people the history of the Chickasaw and Choctaw Freedmen and their descendants is unique, vibrant and real. Our history tends to be invisible because historians seem more interested in telling the "heartbreak" of the people that enslaved the African and African-Native descendants as if their history has nothing to do with the history of chattel slavery.
A war was fought to maintain that "culture." A treaty was signed with the United States that should have protected the "civil rights" of the formerly enslaved but the document that was negotiated between the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations clearly was designed to again, make the issue of slavery and it's aftermath, invisible or non-existent.
The men and women in this video were former Chickasaw or Choctaw slaves and/or their descendants, providing they are worthy of recognition.

They from the U.S. corporation and was allowed to connect to the Amerikas. So we tend to not remember that Amerikas and the U.S. corporation are not the same. Amerikas Aboriginals are Amerika by bloodline and European settlers descended from Europe and formed a corporation of COMMERCE referred to as the U.S. Our continents of Amerikas is our Nationality. The U.S. however is not Amerika, but is a corporation formed by European settlers from Europe. Their nationality and their descendants bloodline is European. The U.S. corporation and the Amerikas are not same. That’s where we got lost in the sauce but now we found. We ALL have to stop identifying with a stupid color and claim our true Nationality. Amerikas Aboriginals. Not BLACK and Europeans are not WHITE. We are all PEOPLE not colors that descended by way of bloodline from different continents. Before he went to war.from my understanding he never returned to his family .what his daughter Agnus,wolf, Hutton would have been my ,g,ggrand mother.i believe.again stay strong and true to this great cause.cheronda.
