Which Lynch movie are you most excited for us to talk about??
Lost Highway 😌
it'll be a doozy!
Inland Empire 100% lol
Fire walk with me 🦉🦉
Given past vids, feel like Blue Velvet is gonna have A LOT to discuss, especially a possible Roger Ebert-related aside
watched mulholland drive for the first time this week and it became one of my favorites of all time. this pod comes in perfect timing!
I credit Maggie for single-handedly making me a Lynch fan. I've now seen all his work several times and now I don't know what to do with myself.
You know, this is, excuse me, a _damn_ fine trailer.
Hell yeah! Can't wait for this to become my new favorite podcast
can’t wait to sit down, listen and drink a PABST BLUE RIBBON
From straight story to 18 hours of twin peaks 🎉🎉
Walking through a Blockbuster one evening, a random person handed me a VHS of "Hellraiser" and said, "This is the weirdest movie you'll ever see." I smiled, walked over and gave him "Eraserhead", walked away. I didn't need to get a reaction. tbf, the photography is stunning...
But have you ever thought about how much Mulholland Dr resembles Hellraiser?! 😂
...then everyone clapped.
Can't wait!
lynch is my favorite director. even his flops are iconic.
Woooop. I just watched it on nebula. Love 😍love ❤🎉 I came over just to comment and boost you in the algorithm! I don't know if I've watched any lynch, I think I might have watched at least one but anyway you've definitely inspired me to watch more, including the straight story. It is time to begin my lynch studies and task have kicked me off in an entertaining way. I look forward to the next episode and meanwhile I'll try and watch a few of his films. Thanks for making me chuckle and pointing me along the path, so when I watch I will be able to pick up things on the first viewing.
Woot woot. Super excited for this!
I thought the title said lynch plus and there was a new streaming service just for David Lynch stories.
MUST LISTEN
I really need to watch more Lynch, but a lot of his movies are surprisingly hard to find on a lot of streaming services. So far have only managed to watch Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, and of course all of Twin Peaks.
I highly recommend Muhlholland Drive next.
@@M-CH_I’ve been dying to rewatch Mulholland drive but can’t find it on any streaming service and when I try to purchase it (Amazon, Apple) I can only rent it and I want to own it. I know I could buy the DVD but I prefer not to have a disc. Anyone know where one can purchase it?
Let's freakin' GOOO
Hyped
omg maggie this makes me cry w joy! if you ever need a guest! 🙋🏻♂
First time I'll say this to a complete stranger: I love you.
I love David Lynch movies... except _Eraserhead._ I've seen it twice, and I am still mad about the three hours of my life lost in doing so. But I can't wait for the rest of them!
I feel the same. Lynch is my favorite director. Love almost everything and the few things (Dune) I don’t love, I still find worth a rewatch. But I’ve never been able to sit through Eraserhead
Love love love this❤ mi favourite director and artist!
OMG YES!
Excellent podcast name.
Cool!
Yes! (to the power of 100). I saw the poster for Eraserhead when I was 8 years old and my brain chemistry was irreversibly transformed. When you get to Fire Walk With Me will you be talking about Requiem in E minor by Luigi Cherubini?I was hoping it would get a mention in Room to Dream, but I have never heard it discussed by him. I was fortunate enough to see FWWM in 1992 at a cinema, I still have not experienced as powerful a scene as the murder of Laura Palmer with that piece of music roaring away in the background.
I'm sure we will talk about music! One thing to note is that we won't be covering Twin Peaks in season 1. We want to do a whole season on everything twin peaks related
@@MaggieMaeFish Cheers, Maggie. Rockin' good news!
@MaggieMaeFish will you talk about Twin Peaks? I loved your video essay and would like to hear Adam’s perspective
For season 2 of the podcast we plan to cover all things twin peaks!
I hope the creators have watched "David Wants to Fly." No critique of Lynch can be complete without the information presented in this fantastic documentary.
This gonna be guud.
Will you cover his short films too?
We might do them as a bonus video on nebula/patreon, but we haven't decided yet
so excited. inland empire is my favorite movie
i've returned
that episode got so fuckin' weird 💀
there literally is a david lynch themed podcast called lynchpin with a very similiar cover picture. Very confusing stuff
Oh fuck yeah
Has anyone else seen "What Did Jack Do" on Netflix? It's a short with David Lynch and a talking monke. It's weird guys, real weird.
Oh cracked!
Thx MM
FUCK YES
What are you covering first?
The Straight Story!
*opens Letterboxd*
i've seen none of his movies 😐
hope i won't regret the inevitable spoilers 🤷🏿♂
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
George Washington set in the corner of the party reading his book. He was not like other girls across the room. He saw her Taylor Swift go on talk to him Harry and Obama didn’t host this party for nothing yassss! His gay best friend Abraham Lincoln said fine. George replied Taylor locks eyes with George as he saunters over to her. His wooden dentures fell into the punch bowl and he went over and said to her, I may be a founding father but you can call me your founding daddy, that’s so hot Taylor thought and seeing this triggered something deep inside her and she ran over to him they locked lips and she felt his splintery gums and the moment was perfect sparks flew and the building set fire the next few weeks were perfect, marching talking about hating the British, tandem bike rides, and committing various acts of arson, they had a love stronger than a golden banana… or so they thought
Meanwhile in Moscow Italy three identical women stood over a table and they all as if they were a hive mind said George is no good for tay tay we need to get rid of him they dont call us the swiftie mafia for nothing
One day Taylor was headed to George’s house ready for a picnic and she saw a note at the door that said hey tay tay I like fell of my horse or something and I don’t care enough about you to wake up love the swiftie ma- I mean George. In her fury Taylor stormed off and wrote a song
1776 you tore my heart into bits I must be tea cause you just threw me away- mid song a paper airplane flew into her mouth and it said how was your picnic love the swiftie mafia Taylor was enraged as her once beloved audience had turned against her and now they’ve got bad blood
he only made 9 movies maybe get over it? Since you're asking, I don't care. You want to talk about some nineties movies? I don't care. Can't imagine a crappier community than the people who have seen all 9 David Lynch movies and who would tune in for this human emoji (she's the big smile emoji, btw) to tell them about the 9 movies they already saw. Dust off your fedora
wish you the best of luck, but fwiw i find anything involving the word lynch when it's not a name offputting and tend to unconsciously avoid. i get it's a double meaning here but if i saw this on a list i would be like, hmm.. just felt like giving my 2c.
Yawn.
I'm so angry. I haven't gotten a notification for you in a year, which I thought was because you were working on a new platform. Somehow this stupid thing unsubscribed me from you. I randomly thought of you today and checked in. Now I have a lot to catch up on.
