  • For my Presets visit: johnnathancordy.gumroad.com/ I guess we must be getting closer to the Neural DSP Quad Cortex being released, and we've started to see some footage of the "Capture" in the wild...The thing is, I feel like we're sort of going back in time, as we've seen this done pretty convincingly (and quicker?) with the Kemper Profiler? Anyway, I had this Fender 57 Custom Champ that I was trying to make a Helix patch close to, and then thought, why don't I just profile it?
You can get my Kemper profiles here www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr... - I'll follow up via email (you'll also be redirected to the profiles and this folder includes all my profiles including Fender Custom Champ, 1970 Vox AC30 Top Boost, Ceriatone OTS50, Mesa Boogie Nomad and my favourite Helix tones!).
/ johnnathancordy if you want my backing tracks!

Kind of surprised by how that Champ clean profile translated!

Mark Knopfler is touring with Kempers. After that I don't think there's much else left to argue about regarding what these things can do

So difficult... also have kemper and hx stomp and comparing. You can have fun and good sounds with both. Kemper will always be the warmer, more natural sound.

Still love my Kemper. I think the main issue people have with it is with extreme gain. Amps that are running super hot and loud tend not to profile as well as low-mid gain amps. There are tricks to get closer, but for relatively inexperienced users looking to profile their gunned Diezel, it can be a bit disappointing.

Going forward, I'd like you to call me The Champ if that's okay with you.
I'm thinking of picking up an Eventide H9. I'd love to see you explore that at some point.

Started playing guitar again. Need a practice amp. Budget $ 100- $1000. 10, 20... 30 watt. Clean. master volume. down the road ... definitely something as I grow as a guitarist. Suggestions ? ideas ? My options are open. Genres; Rock, pop, blues... progressive...... thanks

There is a ton in that price range. I would suggest a 30 watt tube practice amp, though. 15 watt Fender Blues Junior or a Vox AC10 would be good options, but if you want good cranked tube amp tone at bedroom volumes, check out an HX Stomp.

Do you usually play Kemper with XLR? Or s/pdif? And what are you using for the audio interface?
I'm using the s/pdif of the Roland Quadchaper, and the maximum input level of the product is -6dbu, so it sounds really bad when I record it. (Even if I turn down Kemper's master volume, the sound is still bad.) Is maximum input level the only problem that can be solved if I buy a high audio interface? Does XLR's maximum input level affect s/pdif equally?
I'm sorry that the translation is uneven because I'm Korean.
    That's a great guitar tone.

I use the jack outputs into my audio interface - I think the output is quite hot in general?

Turn the Kemper output level down to -18db.

How do you like the Kemper compared to the Helix? I’m constantly reevaluating my Helix purchase. Been eyeing the Kemper and the FM3 hard.

@@johnnathancordy yeah as far as amp tones it's hard to beat a good profile. The profile peocess though is kind of tailored to studio professionals. So idk hopefully it's easier to get good profiles and tweak them

@@johnnathancordy what I really want is Kemper 2 with better signal routing, better editor, multiple amps and cabs, power amp only sims, and more flexible block placement. But I'm guessing that isn't gonna happen anytime soon
