This town was started around 1952 by my grandfather. The town is named after him. It has had its share of issues in the past, mostly security but with a lot of its population being from other areas, its now stable. Being close to Nairobi makes it an ideal place to live.
Wow, raw history right there. What about the town's name?
The towns is Gitaru, the person who started it was called Gitaru. He built the first shop.
Waaa finally you are in my hood environs. It’s been five years since I was home. This has rejuvenated my day.
Pls go around Kanyariri where I call home (my ancestors l home).
The village look like a dead town because everyone immigrated to America from early 50’s.
Hapa USA utapa families from kanyariri live in clan settings- their grandmother lives next state, aunties and uncles all over the US, and maybe great grandmother still residing here in USA .
States like Washington (Seattle), Kansas and California to be specific are all kanyaririans
Wow, that serious..I will fulfil your wish of visiting Kanyariri one of these fine days
Good to see my town shown, good work
Thank you
Happy to see my home… nostalgic
Beautiful home!
Small road was a diversion during highway construction

Coming soon
Some of transit goods must be prematurely ending up here.
How else do you explain the thriving economy against all odds in this area.
😂u must b crazy bruh...the population in Gitaru is so high and the economy runs non stop...the town is near kikuyu Town and less then 20km to nairobi CBD
Hahha unasema hii watu kuna kitu wanajua?
The great populous is due to workers working in Nairobi and residing here
My neighbourhood market

It's an attraction of Nairobi metropolitan.
