  • French President Emmanuel Macron has suggested the UK could get a special trade deal with the EU after Brexit.
But he warned that Britain would not have full access to the single market without accepting its rules.
Speaking to Andrew Marr, he warned - as Brussels has already done - that the UK could not "cherry-pick" the elements it liked

Of course it was prepared. Macron is rather well-known in france for only acceptings interviews if the media gives him the questions that they intend to ask him (that part is sadly more or less "typical") in advance, and not only that, but he often want to have the right to change the questions if needed.
That's also the reason he seems to have a good accent here. What he's doing here is a recitation. When ad-libbing, his accent tend to become a disaster. And I'm not talking about that one time when he imitated a former french president happened to have a terrible english accent; macron tends to say a big "screw you" to his communication managers quite often, usually when saying nonsense (telling indians not to respect the rules...) or insulting some people, and when he's ad-libbing, his english tends to become more broken. It sounds good during "official" interviews like that because it's 100% planned, and he's still, in the end, a theater boy, so he can imitate even an accent if given enough time.

@@mayanthen2615 Being smart is not related to the fate of a country.
People are living in illusions thinking 1 man/woman can save or destroy a country.
      1. There are millions of people to satisfy and when you to give to some, you take to the other. The thing is that people are not protesting the same way. The poorest go in the street, the richest leave the country. And we cannot have a country only with rich or poor.
      2. In politic, "the time is long". I mean, the government's actions often really take effect years later (the good or bad actions). So we will really be able to see the real impacts of the last five years in maybe 1 or 2 years
      3. One last thing to add regarding my main point (a single person cannot really save or destroy a country, even if he/her is really smart or dumb): take whoever you want (Macron, LePen, Putin, Obama, Trump, Johnson, Zelenskyy etc.), give him France in 2017, the COVID-19, the chip shortage crisis, and crisis with petrol and gas related to political conflict. And tell me will be able to "not destroy" the country.
With maybe a definition of "totally destroyed your country". I think people living in bombed or developing countries won't have the same definition.

He is hated by a part of the french population because he is making unpopular yet necessary reforms in France. Our economical laws and society spin around the economy of the "30 glorieuses", which is radically different to nowaday's economy, today's french laws applied to the economy are not made to tackle global markets nor our slowed down post crisis situation. Those reforms should have been made decades ago, but no politician dared taking that responsibility by fear of becoming unpopular in the eyes of the electors who clinge extremely hard to ideals that are not realistic in today's world.

ça me semble raisonnable comme bilan

    • @Kamfrenchie
      @Kamfrenchie Před 6 lety +5

Rien n'a changé concrètement.
      agriculture
      www.euractiv.fr/section/economie/news/le-coup-de-rabot-sur-le-budget-de-lue-preoccupe-les-eurodeputes/

This is the first time I have seen an interview conducted by this journalist and I won't watch him again. Andrew Marr is among those most irritating interviewers who don't know how to ask their questions precisely enough to then sit back confidently, be quiet and patient while their guest responds. I was interested in what Mr. Macron had to say -- perhaps more interested than Mr. Marr whose ego on multiple occasions permitted him to put words in the mouth of the President of France. His impatience while listening to the French President made me feel tense and distracted. If he cannot sit back and allow the President of a country whose first language is not english express themselves perhaps he should not conduct such interviews.

MrEd lol you came to me crying not the oposite. You will continue to buy, but the costs will be higher, we are near than other countries, your money devaluates, you lose buying power. Recession
You seem desperate not me, I don't give a fck about your decision.

Because he doesn't fight nor represent the country but the interests of the European Union, which is not our interest. His economic policy is leading us to mass poverty, on the international plan he's been taken away from all the important issues, nobody takes him seriously, he only focus on communication rather than acts, he'll end up like Mateo Renzi in Italy.

Erwan sabatie, I wasn't responding to you, I was responding to Joseph. Fortunately, we live in a democratic society, so we can agree to disagree. I think he's doing good things for France and for Europe. You think differently. You are welcome at the polling stations, when the next elections take place. Welcome to throw your 1 vote into the box.

filip1491 yes but me i responding to you. With his reforms I loose 50 euros by month in comparison with 2016.my coworkers too,my grandmother,Who worked 42 years, loose 75 euros. With is reforms the ununploiment explodes.
But in front of that ,the 2% of french People more rich (minister, great directors...) saved 5 billions of euros of taxes !! He take lot of money at the poor peoples and give 5 billions for the very rich people.
Last time he said he want we work 39 hours by week paid 35,wtf ?? Work 39 hours is not a problem for me but I want to be paid 39,not 35
But it's not all, every Day on papers,on tv,radio,tv shows... all the media,we earing "macron is good, macron is beautiful, macron make Trump afraid...".this guys insult peoples of Madagascar,it's nothing...he insult french peoples of Who are disagreed with him,to extremist and loafers,it's nothing... he insult womans of illiterate it's nothing...he said "when we are in a station, you see peoples who succeed and people who are nothing "and it's nothing... but you, when you critical macron, you are censorial.more 75 000 Facebook's account was removed in 2017,this is democracy for you?? Not for me!! France become dictature with him!!
