Florida Caverns state park was discovered in the 1930's and the men hired to explore the cave system ranged from 18-25 years old and were paid $1.00 a day. Wow! The campground was small but were really clean and were extremely well taken care of. The entrance to the cave tour is $16.00 per person and the tour guide is excellent. If you're in the Marianna area (an hour west of Tallahassee) this is a must visit park. Helpful links:
