Yeah, went to a few of these when I was backpacking around Queensland. Was a bit of a different vibe than this with literally just a clearing in the bush with a pond, a dj hut with decks and a couple of pa speakers. A butterfly as large as a crow landed on my arm and was just chilling. To this day I don't know if it was real or not.

I have mixed feelings about this. Its kind of frustrating they let you film this tbh. Doofs are meant to be a place of acceptance and free of judgement where you can do what you want and be you and I feel like filming these people in their vulnerable states kind of violates that side of the culture.
Filming at doofs like this is normally very frowned upon because it shatters that safety from judgement from the outside world. Sure these guys consented in their intoxicated state but its not really a good look and I am sure some of them wouldn't be happy with how they have been portrayed.
This isn't just a public nightclub, this is a place where the etiquette and culture should be respected.

I was about to comment the same! Was nice to see a peaceful festival but unless consent was obtained when the attendees were completely sober, this shouldn’t have been posted on the internet. Hopefully all people shown gave their consent to be filmed in their vulnerable states.

Fun for a visit, recommended at least once on the journey of life, but most of them stayed way too long and are just there for the drugs. I don't know how anyone can "party" on LSD it's such a powerful drug that completely reshapes what you thought reality was and who you are.

Psychedelics are great, one time I was trippin on too much acid and I was staring at a fire pit and the fire pit turned into a mini world with little people and buildings, that was 2 years ago and it's such an experience to remember. would love to try out the psilocybin mushrooms next, just don't know where to get them, so hard to come by

This took me back... so many amazing doofs and amazing people!
I do these cous i love getting down to psytrance and getting fried on acid occasionally. I try and bring my positive attitude and give free hugs where I can. Its not for everyone but I subjectively have never had a bad time and tip my hat to the hard work that goes into bringing a good doof together. Hope the oz doof train steams on happily into the future, its a worthy cause!
All festival goers will agree that it’s really insensitive and disrespectful to film people at doofs. These are places where people should feel supported and safe to express themselves, not to have cameras pointed at them whilst they’re in vulnerable states of consciousness. This is honestly some of the lowest content.

Depends on the doof/festival. About half the ones I've been to feel like most people there are actually really Earth-conscious and open-minded and intelligent, and have contributed to a more sustainable society, and also just wanna love everyone.

the Psy scene has changed a lot , it used to be just acid , dope ,alcohol ,, dmt , mushies etc now you you have ice and other crap , people are more angry , our crew use to have parties in the valley and where ever we went to parties in Vic we would allways catch up with people we knew ,those were the days of Oz trance on the comp ,, Royal doof in june ,, tribadelic gathering ,around december , and Rainbow in feb and lets not forget the winter and summer solsters ,and our , dark river doof parties,,, yea times were busy then ,always a party to go to , never any trouble,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i still listen to tunes ,,infected mushroom , GMS , void , Skazi etc etc ,,,,,those were the days
