I don’t think Kendrick needed it; but as a fan of both giving an objective outlook, it’s sad to see every time Drake gets ready to battle someone he has either leaks in his camp revealing critical information or artist utilizing talking points garnered throughout the years that were formulated collectively. It puts him at a major disadvantage and its impressive he’s able to do what he does despite that fact. However, it is largely his fault for trusting without proper research or being so open about his creative process and life. If he was more private he’d be tough to matchup with. I think he will be more respected in retrospect but it’s a shame that he can never seem to catch a break. Regardless, Kendrick Lamar has mythical talent and it would’ve always been a long shot to compete with him whether he had the blueprint or not.
He can’t be more private because he NEEDS to collaborate to be as effective as he is. Ppl ain’t writing for someone they know nothing about. He doesn’t know the rules of the hip hop culture because he’s not from the hip hop culture. Homie is 1-2 in legit back and forth beefs. And meek mill does not equate lyrically or skill wise to even Pusha T let alone Kendrick.

Scroll through some of the comments and i see Common being mentioned and Joe being dragged in some. Common reminded Drake he doesn't want that smoke so Drake quickly backed down. What Joe did was exposed what we are now looking at Drake suspiciously about or highlighted them early on. He talked about Drake's ghost writing rumors, he talked about him copying other people's flows, he talked about him changing his accents depending where he's at, he talked about him being ashamed of a certain someone he slept with (his son's mother being a porn star). But he was regarded as "irrelevant" and Drake did the Drake thing when facing a superior lyricist, he backed down and no one cared. He did the same with Push. Threw rocks and tried hiding his hands, then backed down. See a trend? He always backs down from a fight he starts when the opponent is superior. His only "win" was Meek. But Meek hit him with an upper cut with the Quentin Miller ghost writing. So i laughed at the Heart 6 line about him being a military general and his jacket is covered in medals. Some of you are laughing at Joe because you think he meant ground work by podcasting. No. Joe was a problem in the booth for anyone during his time.
Joe's disses to drake are some of the best. He did help lay out a blueprint. He built upon Meek's exposal of drake having GW and added more. He was the first to expose BBL drake.
