    As a Persian, who actually read an entire book only yesterday about this very subject, I need to add, that although the information in this video is true, in a nutshell, lots has not being said. For example that the English invaded the southern part of Iran with their navy on several occasions, each time thinking, that would not face any resistance. They could not be any more wrong, as the Iranian civilians, lead by many battle hardened, fighters, who could not be bribed or bought off, despite many English attempts, fought back massively and defeated the English at their own game. The English than decided to use the tactic of burnt earth, by which they would destroy every house, every tree and burn off all land, so that the population would starve to death and therefore surrender.
    The saddest part of this entire invasion is, that Iran was a neutral country during the WWI and wanted to have nothing to do with the entire war going on, yet over 10 million, yes, that’s 10 MILLION Iranian have died due to this massive starvation, which lastet 2 years. That’s half of Iran’s population back then. 10 million ppl have died, because they were not willing to comply with English and their policies….
    England has still not apologised for that massacre and claim, that “only” 2 million have died anyway!!
    Iran has never been colonised, because their ppl were ready to scarify their lives for their freedom and the future of their children. This is probably also the reason why, Iran has been listed as the oldest country on the planet in existence. Surpassing India, China, Greece and even Egypt.
    Long live the eternal Iran 🇮🇷

The area they live in may have been under control of CHina, but probably as a tribute state. The actual inhabitants were probably Persian people and the Turks and MOngols would often conquer and retreat. Hard to keep track , because most people don't care about that region. CHina probably sponsored one of the people to take over the region, because it's strategically important, but didn't want to truly colonize it, because it's too far away. and since they are turks, one of the mongol or Turkish leader would of asked them to help invade CHina. Mongols/Turks, are like Germans to the Romans. CHina would hire them to fight for them, but they would then betray and aid to invading CHina.

    • @slewone4905

      Honest answer, Tibetans may be disadvantage in Most European climates. Their blood contains genetic material form a long dead hominid. This allow them to survive in high altitude. The reason why this gene did not spread, maybe because it might be an actual disadvantage in lower elevation. Tibetans are known to be great warriors, despite how some depict them. There horses are actually considered to be one of the best. China insist to use them for war and trade arrangement were made for their horses. CHinese can't breed them, because what makes them superior is their stamina, because being raised in high altitude, gives them a high Oxygen carrying capacity. Tibet may not be able to conquer to far from their land, because what makes them and their horses superior warriors will fade away when they start breeding in lower altitudes. Many renown warriors come from mountainous regions, but they don't tend to create huge empires. Examples are Highlanders from Scotland, Ghurkas from Nepal, Armenians, who the Romans love to hire.

Then the u.s pulled out and the radicals said “Look we told you so” and they started to win power. In Iraq the u.s killed 1 million people over a lie. This made Iran desire a nuke in the first place which is justifiable. On top of that Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons against Iran and the u.s did nothing and even aided Saddam Hussein so Iran knew it needed a nuke in order to prevent that from happening again. If the U.S won’t protect Iran even when their enemy is using illegal weapons then the Iranian feel a nuke will scare all of its enemies.

In fact it was a secret deal between Iranian PM (Vosuq) and British ministers Cox and Curzon. But once it went public, there were protests, both in Iranian parliament and on the streets which persuaded other world powers like France, Russia and US to oppose to it. Also noteworthy; what is overlooked in the above clip is Iran's relations with the rest of the world (almost all major European nations had embassies in Iran for centuries, not to mention various consulates) which helped her keep the balance of international powers as an independent nation!

      Did you see a ground invasion? US bombed from above, and the mountains absorbed it like firecrackers. I never said they cannot invade. Just not a ground invasion which is necessary for long-term occupation and eventual colonisation.
      And Afghanistan was never fully colonised even by the British because of this very reason. The Brits fought 3 major wars in Afghanistan and finally left in 1919. Today, US having not learnt from history is pulling out with their tails between their legs too. Afghanistan is not the flatland of Iraq, nor the British India, neither is Iran which incidentally can put up a much stronger fight than any of the countries mentioned and has a viable air defence to control its sky.

    • @DaCoil-di8pn
      @DaCoil-di8pn Před 4 lety +5

      Rezâ Šâh Pahlavi
      What does colonisation mean? Its not just dominating a nation and imposing your authority over them, that is called occupation. There needs to be a migration of settlers other than the indigenous people so to gradually impose ones religion, cultural policies and economics. Colonisers restrict the occupied countries from trading with any other country other than their mother country. This is not even the case with Iraq today mainly because of Iran.

    I’m from Iran. This video isn’t very accurate. Yes, Iran was never officially colonized but ever since late 1890s, Britain’s influence started growing. A coup happened in 1920 against Ahmad Shah which is believed to be supported by Britain. The coup leader, Reza Pahlavi, perhaps the most controversial human being in Iran(half of the people think of him as evil, the other half as a saint, I don’t give a sh*t), was crowned as the new king 5 years later by the vote of the Parliament. 23 years later, more or less, the Allied leaders had a meeting in Tehran, Iran’s capital, and somewhere around that meeting, they decided to overthrow Reza Shah and place his son, Mohammad Reza Shah (Shah means King btw). He remained king for 37 years and except a few years around 1955 when Mosadegh was PM, Iran’s oil was mostly a British asset. Although both Reza and Mohammad Reza were more independent and powerful than Qajar late kings, These two still had to sometimes obey UK and Later US leaders in some fields. Off course most Iranian, specially in Social Medias, love these two kings and will say that everything I wrote here is bulshit, that Pahlavi Kings were angles. I guess this quarantine is a good time for you to find out the truth yourself :)
