(1:36) This shot was likely done for real, as in, without the benefit of modern day CGI special effects. So, they hauled a car up their with a helicopter, set it up, and then brought the "Mr. Isuzu" up there and shot a roll of film, again, not digital, likely with multiple takes/flybys until they got it right. Then added all the sound and his voice in post. (Not unusual even today, actually.) Still, I'm not 100% sure about all that. Maybe they used some blue/green screen, but if they did it was damn near perfectly done. I'm just saying that because I don't really know for sure. It would be neat to find someone who worked on it...

That Isuzu P'up sure is a sight for sore eyes. Damn North Hollywood thieves stole my '98 GMC THREE times this year. Miraculously came back to me twice, happy to bail her out of impound. Sadly though, this last time, they crashed her. Couldn't afford to bail her out either, not anymore, as detectives kept her needlessly for nearly a week. Man, she was my livelihood, never shoulda stopped hangin' the horse thief. I'm broke, and unemployed without her. SHEESH!

Your wife was a blonde in the earlier commercials and a brunette in the 2000 relaunch. What's up? Did you divorce the first one? She was really cute (and you had two adorable kids with her)!

More like crappy GM parts came in. The 4L30 was never meant for truck applications. Oil problems should have been fixed with the 3.2 and 3.5 engines. Isuzu should have stuck to its own engines and transmissions than let GM use their crappy ones or gave access to their better engines and transmissions.
