You can even imagine you save my life ,, i'm originally from Egypt and it so hard to order these stands online , it will cost me like 70 pounds or more and it's my sister baby shower and i was dying to make a stand to make an arch and some stores here is selling it but it's very expensive like 100 pounds or so .

I went to my local construction surplus store. (Sort of like a construction thrift store with used supplies and scraps). I bought some small square and rectangular cabinet doors. I took the hardware off of them and painted them white. I used a round metal pvc base and screwed it into the center of the door. All I have to do is screw an adapter and a piece of pvc pipe (whatever length I need) into the adapter and I have my column base and pole, ready to use. You can break it down to transport it. It only cost about $2-$3 to make. Very sturdy also.

I made I few of the PVC stands last year and they work really well. I also used the PVC glue to hold the connectors in place.

were a baby shower in a couple of months and I wanted to make backdrop and is going to be perfect. all I have to do is add two elbows and another PVC stick at the right length for the top. Walmart also has them in a variety of colors for $8.79. The store may not have them but they're usually available online & you can have them delivered to your local store.

For outdoor use, could I make a pvc stand and put an exercise weight on top of the base to weigh it down?
You could also make it permanent, like glue all the joints, but before sealing them, fill it with sand so it’s permanently weighted.

I use them a lot. Go to any 2nd hand store or on line under $10 get a single floor lamp and take the shad piece off at the top

You are going wayyyy too fast and these are not easy. Too many steps and cutting. Don’t deem cost effective especially if you are leaving them with the client.
