Valuation is 40bil vs 28bil this means worst case scenario for Disney is having to pay 4 billion more which isn't as bad as I thought. The valuation will fall below 40bil.

Bob Iger should have bought Comcast out back around maybe 2017, as part of the preparation for the launch of Disney+.

I don't know if the Hulu brand would be used internationally as it may cause confusion with Hulu Japan? In Japan, the Hulu name and logo are owned by a different company (Nippon TV) and the content is different from Hulu in US. But also, I think Hulu Japan and Disney plus have a bundle deal in Japan, and Disney has a partnership with Nippon TV to stream some content from Japan.
Will be interesting to see what happens

That issue for Hulu only exists for Japan, the rest of the world it doesn't matter, Ie in Turkey, they don't use the star brand due to an existing channel , they just call it other

@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus makes sense, I'm in US but occasionally watch Japanese content. Sometimes I will hear about something "on Hulu" and have to check which Hulu it's on. I will add, in the US, having the Hulu content integrated into Disney plus makes it a lot easier because when I hear about something "on Disney plus" I know as long as I have the Disney/Hulu bundle, I can find it on Disney plus, even if it's technically a Hulu show.

@@blueskies2618 to a certain extent. A large percentage of Hulu is on Disney+ U.S. (with The Disney Bundle now) but not everything. That might finally be cleared up when Comcast is utterly out of Hulu.

So the 8 billion from Disney, is a deposit, to acquire Comcast share of Hulu?

Sounds like, based on what you said, Disney final payment, will be under 15 billion to Comcast.
Have Comcast rights to select Marvel characters , like Namor and Hulk, returned to Marvel Studios?
I assume Disney won’t buy Comcast Marvel content.
Yeah, It might have been easier for Disney to sell its share of Hulu, but they might of saw the advantages of keeping hulu, a better deal. In the long run..,
It might of taken them longer, to gain the customers of Hulu and its reputation..Plus they have more experience in streaming, than Disney.

Hopefully, this will allow Disney to take Modern Family off of Peacock and bring it over to Disney+(U.S.)

I bet Disney will probably buy all of Hulu for the lowest price possible, since Disney is so rich and they care so much about making money and can buy pretty much everything they want.
