I am from Czech republic. These men were heroes. Eternal memory and respect
Laura yes. This movie but more so this story moved me, a grown man, to tears. Such conviction, such courage. Xo.
Laura Do you think it was worth it? Going after Heydrich? Or do you think they didnt have a choice?
Yes.. (Im from czech too ^^)
@@Rpzinna Heydrich was a nazi swine who would cause death of much more people in the next years of war. So yes, death of those soldiers and all of those people killed by nazis in revenge worth it. Its a shame how much is this deed in contrast with our true national identity.
Amen 🙌🏼
This piece of music matched the scene perfectly, heart wrenching.
unforgettable scene
That film was so perfect. Iam crying.
Yes..I too. We are from Czech Republic...:-)
One of the few movies where I actually felt the horror of ww2
I couldn't leave the theater for 10 minutes, I was so emotional by this song and ending scene. One of the greatest war movies of all time, and I can't get anyone I know to give it any attention. Should have won Oscars. Dunkirk gets high praise and this movie was 100X more powerful.
So true.
idk about that. It was powerful in its own right and also a fantastic film, but the scale , scope and historical ramifications of the battle of Dunkirk supercede Operation Anthropoid.
@@mjolnir9421 naa it was overrated.
@@JohnnyBoy8089 the words overrated and underrated are becoming personal opinions these days. And I agree that I felt Anthropoid more emotionally than Dunkirk did.
Seeing them setting up that last bullet is heart breaking
What a price the Czech nation had to pay.
We Czechs have to pay for their freedom much ...........
Michal Zelenka Yes you all have. First the Allies gave your country to Hitler to try and keep the peace, then you were ruled by the Nazis, then the Russians took over. Sometimes I think the cost of freedom is too high but then you must appreciate it more. The Czech SOE guys were the bravest men indeed and all the resistance members who helped and supported them. If only the dead could speak to us and let us know "Was it worth it" Its their judgement not ours.
Not just Czechs.. 1st Slovak president, Josef Tiso had to make a choice.. either to co-operate with Nazis, or watch his country being torn apart by Germany and Hungaria.
Apollo9791 How can you judge someone until you are in their shoes and trying to survive in such terrible times. History judges people too harshly.
I cried at this part of the movie, I never cry during movies but this one broke me.
This was one time i almost cried in front of my parents and i don’t do that very very often
Didn't cry the first time, but I was unsettled for a few days, this movie had an impact. Definitely cried the second time, I have to admit that.
I cried at this scene.
These few brave men gave their lives, gave everything to change history.
this song broke my heart
This film went completely under the radar for me, never heard or seen anything of it until I saw it on Netflix last week. Great cast, amazing acting and a deep soundtrack which matches the quality of the entire film.
Czech people would never be broken .............
We will never surrender !
and also Slovaks...
*will
@@bourlivak88 no ani s nevzdavanim to nie je take iste. Hlavne ze to zakrical Slovak Jozef Gabcik, generalmajor i.m. (👈opravene)

Ale suhlasim no.
This was an intense scene-not gonna lie, but i teared up
Ricardo S me too man me too
Ricardo S me too. So courageous.
Well I literally started bawling my eyes out. Such a tragic event, remade in a heartbreaking movie..
I cried like a little girl.
Your'e not a real man if you didn't cry!!
Amazing movie... unforgettable last scene!!!
best movie of 2016. maybe the most powerful, emotional ending I've ever seen. I would have cried but it was just so powerful that I was kinda shocked. felt the pain almost. this is coming from a guy, if you haven't noticed, so if this doesn't sell the movie nothing can
I agree with you. I cried at the end
and to think it all happend.. poor but the strongest people 😞😞
I dream of becoming an actor and i'm going to star in a movie with Cillian Murphy :) (well or in a few) I live in Ukraine:( English I know:) But, unfortunately, my appearance:( I have three moles around my neck:( And on the face of a couple...:(
When men were men. Wow. Powerful powerful stuff. RIP
Couldn't agree more.
I have an even greater admiration now for the Czech, Slovak, Bohemian and Moravian people, thanks to this movie which affected me much more than when i was young and read the history of the events in a number of books. You have much to be proud of, and I salute you and your values.
We have nothing to be proud of. We are a nation of cowards, oportunists and snitchers. You can see it right now, when so many of our people has nothing better to do, than snitch on the police hotline someone, who hasnt a veil on his face, while giving their votes to the party of ex-communist, secret police informator and oligarch. It doesnt matter if they are Austrians, nazis, or communists, we Czechs allways just sat and waited, until those bad times are over and occupiers are gone. And maybe we make some sarcastic jokes about it. Operation anthropoid was London exile government initiative, not Czech resistance.
Czechs and Bohemians are the same people, same meaning, just different words.
But thank you.
This scene was incredibly deep and powerful.
Those guys had a lot of balls, respect and honor !
I was just shocked at the end, even when I knew how it's gonna end because I'm from czech, but still...I was jus stuck, starring into nothing and had all these emotion in me like for 30minutes...it's hard to describe
one of my favorite movies for 2016
I balled at this scene. We shall never forget your sacrifice.
I am proud that I am Czech :)
Dan Spe yes you should be. This true story is one of the most courageous stories of the war. Xoxo
Amazing men. You should be proud.
Beautiful film and more so a true story of such courage and sacrifice in the face of terrible human suffering. Their lives may have been short but I wish I had some small measure of their purpose and conviction. Heros. All of them.
Chlapci, ďakujeme...
'Jsme Češi! Nikdy se nevzdáme, slyšíte? Nikdy!'
Co dodat... nedávno jsem byla v kryptě s mými žáky, neskutečné místo.. Jak já ty kluky miluji
Čeští hrdinové!
t's sad that people forget that it's not just about Czechs or Slovaks it's about Czechoslovakians
I highly agree.
Brave Czeck people. Respect from India
imagine how scared you would be if you knew that there was no way one and no way of victory
Doctor: You have left 3 minutes of life
Me:
nejlepší film roku 2016. a scéna s touto písní je nejlepší z celého filmu. nebudu lhát: skoro jsem u ní brečel.
The Czech Republic is great country! Today we aren't famous with our president, but 80 years ago we were one of famoust country.. Thank you Jozef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš
So so sad :(
I respect the heroes of Czech
Love from india !
Brilliant film.. gut-wrenchingly sad ending.
Robin foster 👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 bravo
I cried at the end so sad
Whenever I watch this movie I get this feeling I can never explain. I
Can somebody please make a video on how to play it? Ive tried to find the sheets but still dont know how to play it
The right hand melody is E C E C D E A. On the second E, begin playing the tonic and dominant notes of the chord one octave lower with the left hand every other note. For instance, you would play E5 in the right hand and E4 and B5 in the left. Then you would play C5 in the right without left hand accompaniment. Next, play D5 in the right hand and D4 and A5 in the left and so on. Hope this helps!
Just amazing
"We are Czechs! We will never surrender, did you hear that? Never!"
great people and great film in memory of heroes .......respect ....... to all ho gave there lives for freedom respect from Georgian nation to Czech Republic ......... we were in same situation in 2008 against Russian empire when they occupied our country
Are you fucking kidding me in the same situation are you really gonna compare Rusia to Nazi Germany ?
Russia = nazi
Thanks! Freedom Georgia!
Hans1321978 Yea Nation that lost nearly everything in world war 2 go learn some history douchebag
Rusáci se chovají jako nacisti.Jen okupují a rozšiřují svoje území. Jak jinak, když jsou díky tomu největším státem světa.
7 brave men against 700 Waffen SS troops and Gestapo officers ....
Their sacrifice was not in vain.
Such brave, beautiful souls. I just hope that nobody must go through this again.
The soundtrack is quite simillar to Interstellar soundtrack...
Brilliant and very deep
Somehow it reminded me of both S.T.A.Y and No Time For Caution at the same timw. Love this.
La scène de fin avec cette musique émouvante c'est juste traumatisant, le suicide collectif après 6h de bataille acharné contre les nazis c'est terrifiant magnifique musique !
Súper sad ;(
Hi, i am looking for the music theme used during the shoot-out in the church itself. It sounds like not much but it is very intense.
Excelente película, para mi un clásico y demuestra la valentía de los ciudadanos al invasor. Así es la guerra.
Anyone any tip where to find the notes for this?
lluukkyy28 lmao, use your fuckin ears.
bourlivak88 😂😂😂
This score must have been inspired by Richters Leftover-Music, listen to it, beautiful and same style
its primary inspired by hans zimmer. thos chord canges are his signature
@@ohinek007 Of course, I didn't only mean the chord changes but the choice of instruments and style
neste filme tu percebe o quão perverso pode ser o homem.
fuck it doesn't exist on Italian iTunes Store
Ç🔥KY💀
So two Czechs kill a Nazi officer then become heroes? With this assassination 10,000 plus innocent Czechs are killed.
Hummels what are u tryna say
Officer that killed almost every jew in Europe. I am not a historian but i think it was over 1 million...
After the assassination and the bloody reprivals committed by the Nazis on the Czech people, Churchill declared the Munich agreement null and void, and counted Czechoslovakia as an important ally in the fight for freedom. It wasn't for nothing
