    Roger's greatness lies in his beautiful shot-making which is evident here. There is an elegant laziness to his shots as if he isnt putting too much effort into his swings yet he generates tremendous racquet head speed.

      I copied his technique as well :). I used to play with semi western grip. But with the Federer’s eastern, somehow, I don’t get tired that much. I can hit the ball a whole day.

    2013 was the year for the bad back Federer, but still plays and practices awesomely, regardless of injury. He suffered two back injuries, in March and in July at Wimbledon hence why he went out in the 2nd round.

    It's just beautiful to watch, it looks so easy and everytime he hits the ball, this sound of hitting a ball perfectly comes up :)

      Depends on how you play and what suits your game style. This racquet is not good for two hand backhand player's.

    One thing that Federer does that many other players don't is he keeps his eye on the ball all the way through contact. Keeps that head down. Many players aren't even looking at the ball when they hit it.

    most of the coaching for pro players is about strategy; what shots to hit, when to hit them, strategic playing patterns, ect. Very rare to see a coach telling these guys to change technique in any substantial way.

    What is remarkable is that he has played with a 90 sq. inch all his life (he recently tried a 98 sq. inch Wilson but went back to his 90 prostaff Wilson). That's very small and very unforgiving and hard to play with.

    It's, sure a practice session... But as viewers.... Is the coach or somebody giving Roger some technical support or advice... (even great players must listen and implement).. Hence from the video we guys can only see Roger on a regular schedule of drill shots.. So I'm just curious to know.. Such great players are they fine tuning to some strokes.. Or game strategies to counter a Novak or Nadal.. Because eventually these 3. End up playing their games.. So for Roger I'm wondering why he can't change or strategise in practice sessions as maybe Novak and his Team are doing....???

    • @jchneo26
      @jchneo26 Před 9 lety

      unowen7591 exactly, Shammah Chikosi that has got to be the dumbest comment ever, the aim is not to play a 54 shot rally, the aim is to hit a winner as soon as possible to prevent a long point, you obviously have no idea what youre talking about, and Federer is not someone who hits many unforced errors, why do you think he is the greatest of all time, such a fucking stupid comment
