Jonathan Nicholls The Ei Young Band is a very country group of guys and I've been saying this since I first heard the song on a pop station that it has a very country-folksy beat to it. Seriously, the chorus of Honey I'm Good and Cotton-Eyed Joe by Rednex are pretty much the exact same beat and rhythm. (Cotton-Eyed Joe is a country-dance tune from the 90's.) Andy Grammer did the opposite of some country stars and instead took a pop song and brought it to country. It really fits either way.

I hope its not just me but this still sounds way too much like a pop song than a country song, even with all the crap they try to pass off as country these days. Not trying to start an argument but I think they should bring back real country and leave the pop for the pop stations and I really hope I'm not the only one

+LifeGoddessTaimat I think it sounds good... but as a pop song. Personally what I don't like about the country version is the electronic music, it might be better acoustic but still the lyrics fit a pop song better. I just don't see much of a success for it in country music but then again these days people will listen to anything someone tries to pass off as country (Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan proves that), but in the long run this wont do well with the true country music fans.

Yuck, Eli young band sounds horrible! Andy sounds nice though.
I like the rhythm of this song but what he is trying to say is totally bull shit. He is saying that when he was at the bar he said that he probably shouldn't stay for another drink or else he'll probably end up "accidentally" sleeping with this chick while he's already got some other girl at home. Watch a dose of Buckley top ten worst songs of 2015 and he'll tell you exactly what I just did.
