how to get out of the dota 2 trench - Hry
I have been climbing myself from 600 MMR to 6000 MMR, as a Pos 4/5 Player. (Not playing Carry at all). How i climbed was by finding a committed teammate who was seriously motivated to get better and climb, and we just played Duo Queue. Then the most important thing is to acknowledge that you are yourself a trash player. (I am also a trash player, even though it sounds for some people stupid since i am Immortal). But i was literally climbing from the lowest ranks to Ancient/Divine in no time. The hard truth is, accept you are not good at the game, LOOK on your mistakes and find someone to climb together with. That is the most simple and effective way to gain MMR in this Game. I had the luck that i had a semi professional coach for over 2 years who was always helping me and recording my steps forward. And even though i have never played Carry in my life i can now play Carry up to Divine without any problem. The only role i still struggle is mid, but even there i can play up to Legend/Ancient just because of the knowledge about the Game i have gained.
Honestly, there are so many people out there who wanna climb and are committed to it, just pick someone up and spend a lot of time with them, talk about dota, play together so you have nice synergy. And then you will win most of your Games (not every and there will be losing streaks too, but the overall trend will always be up!)

Thank you for this explanation bro, I have been playing Dota for years now and was climbing slowly but surely up to legend nearly ancient. Then I tried to help my lower ranked friends for quite a long time which resulted in founding myself losing pace and somewhat slowly having a decline in skill without even realizing it. I don't consider myself a good player but I managed to climb to legend with only the knowledge I had about the game. I am trying to get back to rank lately and will only focus on solo ranking. My aim is to reach divine but I know that this might take some time as I somewhat lost the confidence I had before but I am aware of my mistakes and first thing is to surround myself with people of the same skill or higher as they are the people with whom we learn the game. If you have any other advice would be of great help.

I played Dota for years as support because I was honesty insecure. Then I thought about how I play shooter games with no fear of anyone or anything and do quite well. Now I play offlane and I love it and my win rate is 77% in the last week and 65% in the last 30 days. Sometimes if you feel like you suck at Dota it's probably because you're not playing the right role with the right mindset

I literally carried my way out of Herald 3 to Archon 3 in less than a month just playing POS4/5 support. I am not even joking. I just played willow with wards, ganking, and asking my team when to push and defend. I built agh's + mask of madness and DPS items. 90% of my games during the entire climb.
I used to use sky , but now I'm switching to willow and for real it makes a huge difference , but in the end also I have lost a lot of games because of faulty teammates , teammates that have had all towers down except ancient ones and decide to back and farm like I can't believe how dumb ppl can get or bad thing is ppl just focus too much on fighting and killing instead of the base that is take towers and kill the ancient and that's it but no , so idk so far your strategy is good for real but I hope to get out of this disgusting herald rank , now I am a 2 star herald just about to go guardian and I even was guardian but nowadays idk I'm just like mentally blocked maybe too😊
@@mojikatofficial i said I went from herald 3 to archon 3 with pos4/5 willow doing a carry build. But I started having difficulties with it once I hit Legend 4. Now I play support weaver pos4. With wand, vessel, glipnir. I have a 14 game win streak with him. Also legion commander pos3 is very powerful right now.
I cant spam mid because when I win a lot the matching will say I have to check all roles and its frustrating because it'll end my streak

I would also add Clinkz: that hero is really at good pushing towers and ganking by minute 5 or 6. You just need medallion and boots and you can kill anyone on the map in early game and just snowball the game.
I feel likely to play quite uncommon mid heros, when I want to play

Just calibrated my alternate account for the first time after a while to see if my rank will have a difference using these tips. Don't get me wrong, these tips are perfect and I calibrated to Archon 1 but sadly in the Herald and Guardian bracket (on my primary account), no matter how much you farm, if your team feeds more than you can get gold, then its a losing game. Other than that, this guide works perfectly
pro tip never play solo ranked always play with friends if you wanna gain mmr nobody gains mmr solo cause you don't know with who you are playing donta isn't about one player game it's a team game and everything that the team does can afect the end result of the game pls play with friends that play dota every week if posseevery day thats the only possible way to gain mmr my frien the other way is just pure luck

legend 3 to archon 5 stopped playing and never calibrated again and i mainly play support 4/5 i just feel like my mental state is just going down.
my friends and I developed an alche strat from this I basically spam alche whatever the matchup dont join any team fights until I get radiance - bkb - sny then take aegis 25mins and end the game at 30mins (sometimes we end the game at 23-25mins) the enemy usually cant put up a fight against a well-farmed alche at 20mins 3 core items then end 80% winrate out of 45 games so far lol ty for this vid!

Crusader to Archon is probably the hardest bracket to get out of... Everybody have a lot of games, and everyone thinks they are better than everyone else but they suck equally. Everyone want to carry the game but dont know how to do it.
u can pretty much 1v9 every game in crusader and archon if you are good like me

I just play pos 4 hero that can help early to mid game, it's hard for me to play mid and carry hero since dota 1 cause im bad at mechanical skills and i play in SEA region. Now im stuck at ancient 1 and legend 5 hahah

yep, mute your team and pick a late game carry and farm hard... then solo win at 45 mins.
picking early tempo heroes is a waste because crusader teams will not be able to take advantage of the snowball... often times i snowball my team and then they go farm jungle, completely throwinga way any advbantage we gained.
I'm legend and went to archon, and then went to crusader 3, I grind so hard until I got my crusader 5, and then mistakenly calibrate, and dropped to guardian. I stopped playing for months. and now I'm playin with guardian that in my opinion skills are quite good. some of them are bunch of idiots yeah, but some of them quite good like legend skill or even ancient sometimes. lots of people being trapped here I think. what a broken game..
what makes even hard is, when you support, your mid feed. when you conquere mid, your other lane feed.
i dont think its possible to be “stuck” if u are truly higher skill than everyone else. it is bound to happen you wont win every game, so you are probably referring to those unwinnable games where you team feeds relentlessly, but if you play 100 games and you are higher skill you will for sure win more than u lose thus giving you mmr over time

I played same role, I even countered them. but it will end up 50:50. not to mention often there is someone left during the game sometimes in your team or in your enemy team, toxic taking the lane or throwing. you gotta be like very smurf mid to get it out and I'm not. I see you're now ancient so that's why, you might have better skill. or oh maybe you have to try SEA server.
I feel possibly they made the game harder now, since there are smurfs and update patch made the game more complicated. My highest only legend back then and my true skill might be just around archon now. I feel like in guardian now is the same hard as I play back in archon. Once every game I found minimum 2 enemies know how to play their heroes and item build, know how to harrass lane, farm, etc. even they are guardian. you could even found they could play complicated button heroes like puck, tinker, or even invoker. make a combos and everything.
And you will also found the real guardian has different play, they are not aware of situations, died so fast, eazily feed, dunno how to place smart wards, dunno item build, etc.
So yeah, it's kinda hard to climb up back without seriously high time training to dominate enemies with those 50:50 team mate situations.
yeah lot's of good game player are in this bracket.. I don't know why this rank have those kind of player. I guest they are stuck.

bro i tried what u said here and its not working. im the only one pushing the lanes and taking down towers. whenever i gank and won my teamates went back to jungle or wait for our enemy to respawn before they then our enemies defends their towers. i spam my mid heroes but even tho i try hard and won my lane almost everygame my team mates feed. why i feel like i need to carry my team everytime i play. they always makes mistakes while my enemies are doing good catching them. theres not a single game i had at least a decent team. 15 games all with players that i cant explain. if i got teammates like that my enemies should be like that also but most of the time they arent. its useless being the top contributor everygame but cant win because the teammates are dragging me down.

Same here. Its the system thats preventing us from ranking. Whenever i play good game. Like straight wins. 10 or 15 straight wins. Then suddenly i got these super stupid 4 players in my team farming, supports not warding but all obs are missing. After 15mins enemies are super farmed then. We lose the game even if i scored 10-0 in mid and ends up with 28-3 at the end of the game i would lose the game. Dota system is pathetic. They like their pros to stay at the top. When there are a lot of better players out there in lower ranks.

Can you climb out of 1k-2k MMR bracket by offlane role my friend ?
Always have regen, get good at last hitting creeps, learn your power spikes, learn your role. You will win 60% of your games at 1-2k if you grasp the basics of those 4 fundamentals.
Add lane equilibrium, match up knowledge, proper itemization, map and farming pattern awareness and you would increase that further too 70%. Even the simple proper use of when to TP can increase your chance by a further 3-5%.
If your stuck at 1k it means you lack almost all of these fundamentals.

Pick all positions to get +4 (since it will still try to give you the role you've been playing for the last rank games you had,recent) works with me I have 50+ role queue because of this and still get to play my role hahaha

I'm now guardian 2 when I saw the video I was herald 1 I dominate the game with necro and alch I have 70% win rate with necro 62% win rate with alch all I did mute my mates tried to join only when we outnumbered our enemies and when I saw my team die too much I ignor them use my Radiance which I get in good games in 11min with alch and 14min with necro farm only 20 min farming out farm my rivals it works for me my only problem is agile heroes which I can't play except bs and weaver in mid tried juggernaut as well in mid 😅 6 times 5 times win streak with juggernaut in middle last match didn't go well I got out farmed and died thx to qop

Sup im brazilian but i lived in sydney australia and i used to play with a lot of asian and australian people and my mmr was always between 4k and more or less but them i had to moved and now i live in south america and when i play dota people are terrible plus 80% of them are peruvians and i feel like the game give me trashy people all the time so i stopped playing the game for like 2 years then i came back to dota and the game recalibrated me to cruzader then i lose a lot and all the people are terrible like the hc picks a tank or support, the hard supports picks a core, the pos 4 goes jungle and the off picks a hard carry and it doesn't matter what i do most of them always try to do some shit they saw in youtube, and even if i win mid like 90% and go to the other lanes when i have my ulty to help them they go jungle like for 40 mins and buy bullshit items and then i cant do shit against enemies cos they are more people than me, like i tried everything but it's terrible like before i didn't have this problem but now it's like the game give me this people for no reason, it's like imposible to rank up in south america server.
you know what sucks ...that im pretty good as carry and i HAVE to queue up every time as Pos4/5 and rarely get a role slot for carry lane mid/safe, in 1100 games i had like 5 ( no kidding) FIVE games as carry( and won them )
even if i wanted to play carry il still around 200-300 mmr .
If i had like 100 games as safe lane i would had 200wins and rank up.

Yea I'll be like 1-2-20 as support. easy 20min game and I'll get some cry baby that wont fight with us. One game where void died as carry in lane. AT 1MIN he went to jungle. He died 3 times in jungle.. SHit I get like every god damn game. I honestly just need reports lmao.
