I wish I could remember exactly how long it took me to do this, I'm sorry I don't. I was working on a couple different DIYs at the same time but I'd day those took me a couple hours all together.
Please don't drill that way - you can drill right into your hand - my husband was a licensed carpenter and did this and they almost had to amputate his hand. Please be careful.
