Awww. Thanks for the shout out and love Twon. You know your my favorite ❤️ I grew up in the 70’s so many good songs back then. Glad you liked it. Love you Bro.
Nice one, Diane! ❤️
Great request Diane!!
I grew up in the 70's too. This is one of my favorites. I get excited when Twon listenscto the 70's groups. Im waiting for him to listen to Mississippi Queen! Lol!
Another goodie by the Spinners is “Games People Play.”
They had so many hits in the 1970s, it’s hard to choose just one or two.
♫♫ ... twelve forty-fivvvve....♫♫
I'm white uk female 56 years old, 70's soul is what I live for ❤️❤️❤️ I'm trapped in the 70's and I love it xxx
Spinners and Dionne Warwick have a great collaboration......."Then Came You". One of my all-time favorites.
Good choice!
YEEEESSSSS
One of my all time favorites
1970’s R&B is an amazing decade for the genre. So much great, timeless, classic music.
"Could It Be I'm Falling In Love", "One Of A Kind Love Affair", "Games People Play", "Rubberband Man" are nice follow ups from them...
70’s baby!
Love this song. You should also listen to the O'Jays. "I love music".
Motown... just google Motown. An amazing world of music. Welcome to the real music of the 70s. So many genres but the these are songs you can hear and instantly remember. From Diana Ross to Dionne Warwick to Luther Vandross to Smokey Robinson ... oh the list goes on. I haven’t heard this song in 30 years but I sang along with every word of your video. Music is the one reason I’m glad I’m old. ❤️
Don't forget Motown in the 60s as well, brilliant
The Spinners we're not Motown. Atlantic I believe.
TRUE, that’s exactly where they were. Eventually they came over to Philly International (Gamble & Huff), & w/Thom Bell crafting their stuff, they blew up & into classic soul history.
Almost forgot "It's A Shame". The Spinners were one of the best.
I’m 60, white, didn’t meet a black person really until I was in high school. And I adored The Spinners, O’jays, and Temptations. The connection to the older music of all types is there simply because of their much superior talent for singing.
I grew up an average small town girl. I loved that music coming from my radio then. I was a pre-teen in that era and watched Soul Train as well as American Bandstand. We weren't all so focused on or afraid of people based on "skin color". We had better things to do, I believe. My family watched Sanford & Son and laughed just as much as we did watching All in the Family. These snowflakes today would have had a stroke if they saw those shows today, before they could even reach their phone to file a complaint!!! It is so sad to see that the time of acceptance and respect for others lasted just through the 70s (tho I know it wasn't ALL that). 🤷🏼♀️ Just my view on it. Been thinking on how much I miss that time and am thankful I grew up when I did and got my four kids raised before the whole world went insane. Now I worry for them and my grandchildren's future.
@@tinalinge9182 really snowflake? Is that necessary? Just because younger generations would not understand the context and humor of the shows is that their fault ?
It's such a kick to see the younger generation, enjoying. Music that I grew up with. I'm 67. Our music is timeless and ageless. Every generation.has their flavor. I'm still listening to the music that I grew up listening, too.. And it's all so good.......Smile........Everyone.
We got a Motown man on our hands, y’all. 🔥❤️
You should watch their Unsung episode. They had 19 number 1 hits but never won a Grammy. There's only one original member of the group that's still alive. They've been around over 60 years. Spinners songs to react to: Then Came You, Love Me Or Leave Me, Sadie, The Rubberman Man, A Mighty Love, Working My Way Back To You, Its A Shame, Games People Play and How Did I Let You Get Away!
love the Spinners! I reccomend "Its A Shame" by them. Written with Stevie Wonder and was a legendary hit
The Spinners were excellent. I recommend "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love" for your next song by them.
"Rubberband Man" is one sweet jam. You'll dance your socks off Twon.
This is real R&B young man.
You can say that again
The Spinners, The Temptations, The Four Tops = GREATNESS!
I just love the Spinners."I'll be around" has always been a jam.Never gets old.
This was a song that no matter how many times it was played on the radio , we would listen again . Timeless !
I’m Your Puppet by James and Bobby Purify! Released in 1966! AMAZING SONG!
Yes 👍🏻
There is so much Motown music to explore!! Spinners are classic and never get old!
It's that glorious 70s sound!!! Loved it then and still love it!!! They've got many hits. So many soul groups from that era!!! 👍
Okay. I'm a 65 year old White Man, my favorite artist is Bob Dylan. I love The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, CCR, Grand Funk Railroad, Prince and Sooooo many more! But this, absolutely my favorite song Ever! Thank you! 🤗🤔😎
Oh, yeah, check out The Four Tops' "When She was my Girl". You'd be the first I believe and you'd love the backup voices
Love love The Spinners, this music takes me right back to the 70's
The late 60’s, early 70’s were THE time in Motown. Grew up outside of Detroit, Motown was IT! Love the pure sound & feel. ❤️❤️
Rock soul and every kind of music was the best back then
I’ll Be Around is a masterpiece and it has such a great opening line, “This, is our fork in the road.”
You’re gonna love them!❤️ I play The Spinners and The OJays driving and people give me the thumbs up all the time!
One of those old songs that somehow just make you feel happier...........
" Ghetto Child " is another smooth track of theirs ❤️
One of my favorite songs....lyrics, groove, it’s got it all
One of my favorites as a teenager in the ‘60s; the Four Tops with Levi Stubbs, however, was my number one go to from Motown.
Yes the Four Tops, the Miracles and the Temptations.
YES!! My mother loved music but especially Motown so I was lucky enough to grow up exposed to The Spinners, The Stylistics, The Isley Brothers, The Temptations, The Four Tops, etc.
You have started down the rabbit hole and I sincerely hope you enjoy your journey. ♥️
Always loved this song perfectly sung and highest level
My absolute favorite group growing up. I started listening in the 70’s but they were around before then.
Great reaction. One of my all time favorite songs. I love the Spinners and Four tops
Twon that's Motown. That's the sound that we all fell in love with in the 70s. Glad you liked it.
The Spinners-The fabulous Motown sound! I’m friends with the lead singer’s granddaughter!
"and love can burn once again" great lyric
It's got a Groove! Took it to dance class a few years back, everybody was on the floor!
Groups back then like the Spinners sang fun, upbeat songs about love and affection. They usually had more than one singer take a solo in each tune, and each singer was instantly identifiable based on his voice type. You could understand the words, and in their live acts they wore classy outfits and did little dances choreographed to each song. Compare that to today!
One of my favorites of the 70's🥰
Just a great timeless song!
this is the song I dedicate to my dad who passed away eight years as of Monday, May 24th. He loved this song, and so do I.
Yep , us oldies grew up listening to some Great Jam's... And I see that you agree
Love the sixties and seventies music. Brings back a lot of memories. Never get tired of listening to it I'm glad you're playing this music!🤗👍💖
Love this song, out when I was in high school, Spinners had a lot of good songs 😎 thanks
Love the Spinners - they are so smooth.
I grew up on this album. My mom loved The Spinners. Fantastic choice.
One of the best song of all time great live music sounds great
There are so many groups that were out in the 70's that were fantastic. I was a bartender in a black bar and I loved every minute of it. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks Diane, great song, great music.
These guys are awesome!!!
The 60’s and 70’s a great music era, simply beautiful!
I’m a 64 yr old Caucasian male and I bought a radio in like 1969 and this was the song I would wait for. Still sounds great so smooth and groovy heard someone playing it last week😎
The lead vocals by Bobby Smith are absolutely perfect.
Classic 70's R & B love this song.
The Spinners have been around since the 60's but this song came out in the early 70's.
You Make Me Feel Brand New, Stylistics, came out in the early 70s. Check it out! One of my favorite songs.
Sing swing smile with the 70's and 80's. They live on and it makes me happy when there are young offspring who also like this sound 👏🤗👍
I remember this good old song!
My husband and I went to see The Four Tops and The Spinners in Travis City Michigan, it's about 3 hrs away but my daughter and son- in- law live there. My son- in- law is a DJ and gets my husband and I tickets for concerts every year, that was the best concert I've ever seen and I've seen alot of them, they sound exactly the same.
These brothers were my sisters favorite group. Their music always puts me right back in our then shared room andherteaching me all the latest dances. She lives on for me through their music. Check out Games People Play, Sadie and Rubberband Man. S.IP. Papoo.
You need to react to "Sadie" which is the song Tupac sampled for Dear Mama. Also Rubber Band Man, Mighty Love, Games People Play, Then Came You, and Cupid.
I saw the Spinner live in concert in about 1977. I love them.
They are amazing! As a young woman I was in love with the lead singer!😍
It's the first time I've been here, and it's quite refreshing to see this young man appreciating the very best songs of my generation. This song was released in the summer of 1973 - I'm not even sure if this lad's mother was born yet.
Spinners! Yes!!! Sang along to this song oh, so many times! A gentleman's breakup tune for sure. 😽💋🎶
Great 70's sound, great group with some really good hits. Enjoy this rabbit hole
Oooo! It’s sooo good!❤️🎶🎶✨🤩✨✨🎶✨🎶🎶
I loved this song when it was released in 1972 and I still love it. I think it's one of the the greatest R&B songs ever, right in there with Chain of Fools, I Heard it Through the Grapevine (Marvin Gaye, of course) and What'd I Say. The Spinners were a fine group, but the genius here is the production by Thom Bell, who also co-wrote the song. A masterpiece.
No forgiveness necessary. We love to see you whenever you post. Keep it up, man!
Spinners are solid gold 70's soul ❤️
My favorite song of all time!
My favourite of their great songs
Early Seventies. I was an undergraduate. R&B was all over the radio back then and the Spinners had some of the best songs. Another version of this song that’s just as good is by Sharon Jones and Lee Fields. Either version brings tears.
The spinners- could it be I’m falling in love
Climax Blues Band "Couldn't get it right" "I love you"
They had a string of hits in the 70's when they went to Atlantic Records but one of my favorites is an early track they did while signed with Motown Records called "Truly Yours."
Spinners, Philly soul at it's best. Yes! TSOP !!
Twon, anything by The Fifth Dimension, wonderful group. ♡
2 Must-Listen classic Spinners Songs: Cupid, Working My Way Back To You
