    Also - they think Tavernier should continue as captain.

      The core of Rangers team has a number of stale players who do not have enough in the tank to push for trophies and it’s now become a losing mentality which will rub off on the newer players ..

      Gerrard was way overhyped. How far have Rangers expectations fallen if Gerrard is seen as a good manager for us.
      That 'unbeaten' season we wind out of 3 cups against teams we able to beat.
      Gerrard never made a profit on a single player in his time at the club.
      He treated players like shyt when he didn't favour them.
      We never solved our RW after he let Candeias go and he kept sticking with a Kent who was never interested and Morelos who was allowed to fck off to Colombia, get fat and come back whenever he chose.
      Gerrard did a runner because the same 'unbeaten' team were struggling that season.
      Gio tried cleaning up Gerrards mess and the players AND FANS turned in him.
      Fans and certain players then drooled over Beale coming back while Gio was still in the job and look what Beale did.
      Clemente will probably need 2 seasons and several windows to fix the mess.

    Let’s not overreact. Every Rangers fan knew after the start to the season under Beale and the quality of our squad that we would be struggling to win the league this season, and that it was most likely going to be another year of transition. We won a league cup, have a chance of winning the Scottish Cup, done well in Europe and were in a title race until the weekend.
    Sure, it ended with another disappointing defeat, but we have some good players within that squad. The Summer transfer window wasn’t the issue (ours was much better than Celtics who didn’t start one player on Saturday that they signed in the Summer). Sterling and Butland have been excellent. Dessers has done his job. Sima was our best outfield player before his injury. The issue is that our squad is completely imbalanced and constantly injury ridden. We have almost no wingers and a real lack of quality in midfield. We talk about how good Celtics midfield is, but imagine if they were all injured for half the season like our first choice of Danilo, Cortes and Sima were. IMO Saturday is a different game if these guys are playing, cos Celtic struggle to defend against pacy wingers.
    Anyways it doesn’t matter now, but I think that we have some signs to be optimistic. If Sima etc are back for the final then we have a good chance for a double. I feel with a fully fit squad this season that, despite the squad imbalances, we would have won the league. But it’s pie in the sky cos our players are constantly injured.

    If we want success, we must rid oursleves of old faces that produce the same losing patterns and defensive errors, or fold when there is a chance to take an advantage year in, year out. We need guys with big mentality. Bigger than that we must stop signing guys with poor injury records, which we have done since Gerrards time. When will we learn? We must stop giving one more year, to broken players who can't last much of a season as well. Get rid of the deadwood, as has been suggested for many seasons, lighten the wage bill and shop smart for players, even if that means using our own leagues here and further afield and doing heavy background checks into how robust they are and picking up on injury repeatitive types as red flags. We need to cover our needs and be prudent. Goldson on £37k per week, vs Maeda on 16k per week, Tav on £30k per week while O'Riley is on £16k for example. What were our board and money men thinking? Those decison makers need punted by someone higher. This club needs run better and we need to sign better. Celtic pucked up Maeda for £1.6 million. So its not a matter of spending above our usual budget. Like it or not even in the Murray days and since, Celtic have competed for less than we spend. We need to spend what we have wisely.

    For me I thought we were once again the architects of our own doom as you need to execute the gameplan and cut out the idiotic and basic mistakes,Celtic are good enough without giving them freebies on top,on Saturday we left men unmarked,scored an own goal and just when we started to undo the damage,lundstram decides it would be a good idea to add to his stupid own goal by flying in on a player who was in his own half and got rightly sent off for being an idiot,effectively ending our chances of getting anything from the game!

  • @iwanttoplaywithspringsteen9188

    Where is the money coming from for all these summer signings ? Beale spent a lot of cash on guys who look as if they are no great shakes , long contracts, big salaries stuck with financial liabilities.. it’s pretty much what you expect .. Rangers cut open at will by a team who look far sharper .. if Celtic had taken half their chances it would have been a cricket score . These guys have no belief and that is very concerning… Celtic are the team with the money, momentum and belief they can win think things look very bleak

    Manager picked wrong team . Seen team an hour before kick off and utterly deflated. Yilmaz raskin cantwell needed to play. Barasic , lundstrum, Lawrence all wrong choices. Tavernier cost first goal at ibrox and second one here jogs out and allows cross. How many mistakes can one player make but play every week ? Dessers not good enough everyone can see it. Problems all over the place .

    Agree Jonny signing proven Shankland, Miovski to add to Danilo is no brainer however they must also clear out serial losers Tavernier, Goldson, Lundstrom and Barasic - Celtic own these 4, zero belief… Play Sterling and Ridvan as full backs and use Tavernier, Goldson and Davies money and wages to sign 2 new dominating/agile centre backs… Playing Sterling out of position to protect a woeful defender like Tavernier is a nonsense… Clement must be ruthless and totally clinical in getting rid of current so called leadership…

    Same old story. I never want to see Lundstram near the club again. Embarrassing football player. Hate to say it but big red flags for Clement in the past couple months as his tactics, lineups and comments he’s made have been nothing short of baffling. These are the same reasons he was let go at Monaco.. If he picks the same lineup and uses the same tactics for the cup final and loses it, it will be very very toxic for him and the players and rightfully so. Massive massive changes needed in many departments of the club come summer time. Just hope this time we get it right with signings. Never ending same old story year after year. Sick of it..

    Too much praise of celtic players, it's over the top. We never fielded a settled team in any department, it's been like starting over every 3 weeks. Make no mistake! Rangers have lost this title, the two extra trips up to dundee caused a fatigue to set in I feel, for this reason we have given a poor Celtic another free title.

    Dessers will turn 30 next season... I doubt we will get all our money back as we probably overpaid for a player his age/ability. Pushing for his sale after spending 5 minutes talking about the trouble we have getting fit and reliable strikers is a bit rich as well... He plays every single game and has also scored 21 goals this season. I agree that we don't really want him to be the first choice number 9 going into big matches as ideally you'd have someone who has better shot conversion rate than he does but I think he should be kept as a reliable back up option.

    Lost all faith in clement he has to go just look what he did at Monaco he can’t get teams over the finish line. Anyone who says he’s picked up Beales mess. Beale record is way better than clements and Beale brought in some cracking players like butland sterling dessers 20+ goals clement has brought in the worst player I’ve seen in ages silva and he won’t play raskin who’s far better than lunny

      Eh beale was there longer and had 2 windows and didn't win a trophy so top talking pish. There is only one stat that matters and that is trophies and Clement has already proved he is better so that debate is dead right there. He is stuck with beale and gio and Gerrard dead signings

    • @J.D_7
      @J.D_7 Před měsícem +1

      Beale threw away Sakala, Colak, Arfield and brought in players who were terrible while he was here. Lammers was here 4 months before being loaned out. Imagine backing up Beale and trying to compare. We were booing wins under Beale. Also, playing musical chairs with managers will ruin us, someone needs appointed and trusted to get it right as this team needs gutted out. Same core of players have got Gio and Beale sacked, that's the problem and Clement DESERVES the summer to sort it out. Enough of this emotional "Clement out" pish....

    • @alanhendry3134
      @alanhendry3134 Před měsícem +1

      Clement won 3 titles on the spin with 2 different teams which landed him that Monaco job. They sold their best players for over 100m. There's also the small matter of PSG that tends to prevent Monaco winning many titles these days.
      Clement is not the problem albeit the midfield is not the one I'd have selected. Lack of athleticism and quality is the issue. I fully expect the players coming in to be powerful, hard running and younger more athletic players. We didn't have the legs for it on Saturday
