- Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir 20. Bölüm - Mehdi ve Zeynep yeniden karşı karşıya geldi.
Zeynep ve Mehdi arasındaki gerilim Mehdi’nin Barış’ı evde görmesiyle tırmanır. Öfkesini kontrol etmekte zorlanan Mehdi önce Zeynep’in kalbini kırar sonra da acısını Nuh’tan çıkarır. Cemile ile olan ilişkisi nedeniyle Nuh’a da sırtını dönen Mehdi işi bile gözden çıkararak iyice yalnızlaşacaktır.
Barış ziyareti sırasındaki alçak gönüllüğü ve yardımseverliği ile ev halkının gönlünü fetheder. Zeynep artık Barış ile her şeyi konuşabileceğini anlar. Ancak Barış ve Zeynep’in günden güne güçlenen dostluğu kısa sürede Mehdi’nin kıskançlığının hedefi haline gelecektir.
Zeynep bir taraftan Nazlı ve Mehdi’ye dair soru işaretleri ve kıskançlık hissi ile mücadele ederken bir taraftan da Cemile ve Nuh’a destek olmaya çalışır. İyice bunalıma giren Müjgan tarafından da kabul görmeyen ikiliye başta Sultan ve Zeynep olmak üzere tüm ev halkı sahip çıkar. Sonunda Cemile ve Nuh için kurulan düğün birçok sürprizi de beraberinde getirir.

To sum everything up in one sentence - Zeynep’s problem and Mehdi’s problem is that they listened to their birth mothers and married someone they did not know.
Just a thought and a question:
Had Zeynep not listened to her birth mother and had Mehdi not listened to his mother, they would not have met, or at best would have never married quickly after meeting briefly twice (in Mehdi’s car repair shop and then again outside on the stairs in Mehdi’s neighborhood).
That being said, not that anyone of us could answer this question with facts, but I wonder how Zeynep’s life would have turned out had she never met Mehdi and instead would have married Faruk.
And I wonder how Mehdi’s life would have turned out if he never met Zeynep, but would have found out that Benal was pregnant? Based on how much we know about Zeynep’s character and her past, and based on what little we know about Mehdi’s past and what we have been able to observe about his character, what do you all think their lives would have been like had they never married each other? Any takers?
If they would not have met.... ( Zeynep would have lived a hollow life) and Mehdi would have lived a life which is Ok. I will tell you how. Zeynep could have married faruq... But as you know faruq... He came out to be a womeniser. Before any boy and girl are in any relationship ( before marriage I mean) you can see the excitement when they see each other. When faruq proposed zeynep on her birthday ( in from of her rich parents). She looks at her rich mother for approval. If you can visualize that scene. Did you saw the emotions on zeyneps face. it was utter dismay. How can that happen. God damid you are in committed romantic relationship with a guy from one year and she when even physical with him... How can she be not sure about him... How can she look at her rich mother in dismay as if she still wants any approval for marriage. What sort of relationship was she in. Even after marriage she would have been hollow. Now come to Mehdi.... He would have lived king size. Benal would have told him... I am pregnant... He would have told her... Ok.. I am still not in love with you... I will not marry you.. But will take care of child. Mehdi would have lived beautiful life alone. From answering your question... I realized that Mehdi has a terrible loss... I feel sorry for him. If you look at who lost and who gained... Mehdi would have been enjoying in the streets blissfully without marrying anyone. From opportunity cost point of view...it can be seen that Mehdis loss is huge in comparison to zeyneps. Anyways he just wanted to see girls and get some lame excuse to reject her. He never wanted to marry. But that day... When he saw zeynep. It was his destiny who was calling him... His destiny was telling him... Boss... You have to cry.... See now he is crying....

I stopped watching as soon as they made Mehdi look bad I really wanted him with zeynep hate how they’ve changed the plot and out her with the other guy :( can’t watch it for that reason

I totally understand your reasoning.
There was so much great potential for this series. I clearly understand that it is important to not send the wrong message - “They went to counseling, everything got better, and they lived happily ever after”!
Often, couples are trapped in relationships that never should have happened. The dynamics are frequently perpetually toxic. Even in the best of circumstances, when both individuals agree to counseling, whether it’s individual counseling or couples counseling (I am a big supporter of both), the relationship may get better and the individuals may find that they are healthier apart rather than together. The anxiety, fear, hatred, and all of the bad emotions will often heal as the individuals commit to lifelong individual counseling. Sometimes, but in my experience, rarely, the couple is able to reunite, live together with healthy boundaries, and their story becomes a success story. In this latter instance, there is typically high motivation for personal change, responsibility, and for one’s mental and accountability. For taking charge of one’s personal mental and physical health. So, this story could have gone either way. But the writers took it into a direction of nonsense, which led to desperation, and the next thing you know we were dealing with the mafia. 🙄
Introducing Baris as a new romance just made things unnecessarily clouded. The exception to this is that often, individuals with a history of abusive relationships, who never did the hard work of getting counseling to unravel how the abusive relationship(s) became a part of their life, are attracted to someone who can rescue them or someone with similar attributes as the original abuser. Hence, the risk for being manipulated or worse, happens again. Zeynep was engaged to be married 3 times in just a little over a year’s time. And in between all of that mayhem she went from one web of confusion to the next. Why? Because she has never been introduced to and taught how to use the tools that would have prevented her from instinctively making one bad decision after the next. One of those tools that she would have learned in counseling is the importance of establishing healthy and necessary boundaries. This is KEY! This cognitive behavioral therapy lesson would have given her clues as to how to and why it is needful to distance herself from both of her mothers’ influences on her decisions. Her mothers pressured her into all 3 of these romantic relationships. Think about how different Zeynep’s life would be if she would have sought out counseling while she was in law school. Frankly, her adoptive mother, who was a woman of means, should have established counseling for Zeynep from day one!
I could go on and on because this series is rich with examples of how and why things go so wrong in the lives of people with an abusive background. If the series would have stuck to the topic of awareness, treatment and prevention, I think it would have become one of the most popular series ever created. They certainly have the best actors.
