Good Saterday morning J.W and I hope your having a nice weekend. I have a Colt Gold Cup that I purchased from Gunbroker three years ago and so far its not rattling but it does have a little side to side movement and your right about the looks of the Colt its nice. Thanks for the video,Slim.
O yeah 1911's on the table something just so sexy about a 1911 always great to see, and to top it off your awesome grips so glad I have a set as well. I have an orthopedic apt Tuesday will keep you posted
Lovely 1911's there on the table. Switching it up a bit, what's your favorite Smith and wesson revolver that's not a model 29? Happy Saturday morning, ya'll!
Hi BATJAC, I agree with on Springfield being a better production 1911 manufacturer. The other good thing about their line up is the specs are the same across the board, forge frame and slide cold hammer forged barrel. I would like a Nighthawk Thunder Ranch 9mm.
I'm a Springer/Dan Wesson guy myself, but all you have to do to the Gold Cup to shoot duty loads is to change the recoil spring. They were a popular duty gun back in the day because of the target sights.. You'd be better off getting a loaded Springer though. 100% agree on the Wilson Combat mags also. I have a couple of 1911s that work perfectly ONLY with Wilson Combat mags.
Love the 1911 talk. Ruger, Kimber, Springfield, DW, Tisas.. Im not impressed by the newer Colts honestly. Can we discuss $400 and $5000 1911s and are the differences worth the dollars.
Good morning! 100% agree with you on the Gold cups I let mine go years ago! 👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
Springfield looks great

I have a pair of those phenolic grips for a large frame Colt if you need them?
