X is the coolest most unique band in the history of rock and roll or music for that matter!
I’ve been listening to X since I was a kid in the 80’s but never got an opportunity to see them live until this past July! I gotta say this is my favorite show I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot of cool shows over the years.

Billy Zoom has explained why X and other punk bands had difficulty getting played on the radio, something to do with format or something; I don't understand it but there are some interviews online where he explains it. It's too bad what happened.
It's terrible that he thought they failed. I'm glad they were not main stream.

Damn right they got shut out of the mainstream! We're talking about the 1980's here, a decade where the mainstream was ohhhhh Michael "King of Pop" Jackson, Madonna, Sting, Phill Collins, Huey Lewis, Def Leopard, U2, Bon Jovi - would you actually expect a group like X, and other groups of their sort, to get played along with the likes of THOSE?!!
Bands who don't make it mainstream are almost always THE best bands.
people came to see x because they made great music. How did they make all that great music?
Exene is a great artist and also has her head screwed on straight, so to say. I imagine that the latter is extremely hard to maintain after decades in the music business, so hats off to her - and to the boys in the band as well, it goes without saying.
They played Dallas when Exene was pregnant - I loved it.
Love that hair-just like in the Decline Of Western Civilization flick.
To me, they are like the punk Beatles. Each personality so strong, and essential. You have to have Billy Zoom, you have to have etc.... Think about it!
