Rob, what a crazy bike year, this will be it for the foreseeable future. This was a great deal for a V1050 at a price lower than most V1000's, a $49-dollar one way non-stop ticket sealed the deal. She's a good runner and equipped, I am really attached to Monti the black V1000, but he'll have to go. Thanks for watching.
Great ride! We stayed in Cedar City also on my last trip out that way. Utah is a great place to ride, even the interstate can be nice. The VStrom looks great. VStroms are so good I’d even consider a yellow one! 🤣.

Greetings Tim, Cedar city looked like a great place in the summertime, The Abby Inn was awesome nice rooms, with a hot cooked breakfast. Living large. The Yellow is flashy for sure I'm still getting use to the looks. I had just finished getting Monti the black V1000 set up for me and had ZERO plans for another bike when this popped up $2500 off the initial asking price. 36 hours later and it's in the garage.

Thanks Frank, nice to make the upgrade for a great price, the timing of everything could not have been better, everything fell into place the seller met me at the airport, changed oil/filter on the bike so everything was topped off and ready to scoot.

Thanks DOC650 , it was a very cold last hour. Definitely upping the arsenal with heated vest and gloves. But a fantastic ride, the bike has already cleaned up like a new penny.

OBI-WAN !! I found out later that the traffic jam was because of the mass shooting at UNLV where 3 were killed, crazy. It was a quick but beautiful trip, the bike sat for a while and will need a scrubbing from top to bottom, but it was one hell of a deal and a fun adventure. There is no upgrading after this bike, the big blonde is here for a while, great to hear from you.

Vstroms have a lot to offer if you're looking for a light dirt/long distance reliable touring bike. Sad part is getting rid of my V1000 to cover this one, but it's a huge upgrade. Thank you.

What do you find the greatest upgrade comparing to the gen 2? Cruise control? Do you notice any diff in the torque curve? I thought the gen 2 was dialed in perfectly in that department. Watch out for surface rust reported on some of these. Enjoy!
