Inspired by one of my favorite youtubers- KPOPRC, I'm going to build a scale drift car with some 3D printed goodies that he sent me! This is my first RWD drift car, so It's a learning experience for all of us. We're using the Sakura D4 chassis. It's all carbon and aluminum and it didn't break the bank. It's rear wheel drive, it's 1:10 scale and it should be a ripper! get stoked for some RC drifting!

Hey buddy thanks, I've finally figured out what I'm gonna do with my all aluminum volcano epx/pro, I'm going to lower it a bit and stiffen up the suspension and burn the tires off of it !!!!

Looks awesome dude, most Gyros usually have to be hard mounted and level to get there gyro on

Hey looks good and like the wheels you put on there too.... Can you explain the gyro thing to me , on like what does it do for on a car...?? Kind of lost bout that.... Thanks for the posting and K-Pop..?? PEACE
It counter steers the car, so when the back steps out in drift, the gyro catches it and counter-steers, allowing you to drive sideways and prevent the car from spinning.
@@10thScaleGarage OK, but do you still have control of the car if it counter steers the car so it doesn't totally spin out..??

The recaro seats are available on thingiverse, but the cage and floor pan are designed by KPop, and idk if he’s going to release them. I bet if enough of us ask for them he might.

Sakura d4. Too many parts to list. I go over everything in the 3 videos I made about it.
Your gyro looks like GYC 300. Try to turn "Setup" to the right (clock wise) litle by little then test the gyro, find a position where the gyro works properly. It's a loop actually (we can turn the "setup" 360 degree), so it doesn't matter if your turn "setup" to the right nor left, you just need to find the perfect setup among the 360 degree rotation.

You made the right call by not getting the D5. With the D5 you need a specific sized servo that isn't mentioned anywhere by 3Racing.

Servo is going to be WAY to slow, also where are you planning on mounting the battery?
I gave it a little test rip today and the servo seems fast enough. I didn’t have any issue initiating and maintaining drift. I have a low profile battery that sits just in front of the cage.
@@10thScaleGarage i run that chassis (albeit not the clone) and tossed out that exact servo for a 0.07s 10kg programmable omg unit. What are you running on? Polished concrete? Carpet? Epoxy?
@@shadsuuu Same for my one, struggled for ages with it and swapped the servo and it was mint after that. That big alloy gear wont last long 3-4 hours, soon as it wears the hardening off it will turn to dust. I ended up making a belt drive conversion for mine, so smooth and quite now.

My LHS, but you can get them on Amazon. Duratrax makes the one I have, but there are other people what make them, too.

There are some STL files floating around out there, but it’s probably best to design a d print one that’s specific to your chassis.
why did you go D4 instead of d5 ?
D5 is pretty hard to get at the moment.

Dude this thing is going to be sick! But I have to say that the chassis is a clone, hopefully it doesn’t cause any problems. Although it seems to be working just fine for you.

The gyro need to be flat . I had the same issue until my friend explained this to me.
It doesn’t work at all when it’s flat.
