mark lanegan looks like like he came from some random ps2 game with good graphics
lolol like a badly rendered human face replica :D :D :D lmao
HAHAHAH
God in a Satan's body
LOL, so oddly accurate
I think this is my favourite youtube comment ever hahaha
Walkin on the sidewalks with Mark singing sounds incredible and Josh`s solo or solos are outstanding
Opening with Lanegan doing a ZZ Top cover. The brilliance of this band has no limits.... RIP Mark.
What song?
@@mgtkmg PRECIOUS AND GRACE from TRES HOMBRES lp of ZZ TOP cuz Mark, Josh and Nick.
Thanks brother. Rock n roll
Somethings slightly outta tune unfortunately.. Queens studio version is fantastic
I’m ashamed to say I didn’t know this was a ZZ Top song and assumed it was a Queens song I hadn’t heard before. Safe to say the Top was an influence on Josh/the band
Mark lenegan is the Beetlejuice of Qotsa... you don't see him a lot, but when he's on the screen you know that shit's getting real and it will be fun!
Nick is a fucking madman on Quick and to the Pointless. RIP Mark Lanegan, as well - who was one of the greatest musicians and singers of all time. Period.
His voice still trips me
@@skullman9113 mee to
Man, I miss the Screaming Trees
Nick is a fucking madman full stop. And that's why we love him.
@@stonermane621 me too , saw them back in 92 as an opening act for Soundgarden & AIC
I think this is the best Mark has ever sounded. He must have had some extra gravel for breakfast.
How the fuck he ever got the balls to sing with voice?
He's healthy here.
Lmao
He looks as though he's clean
His presence is massive. The ladies were helpless
Feel Good Hit is actually a list of everything they did before playing
Emphasis on ccccocaine !
I think it's a list of drugs they took for the New Year's Millennium party
I think if they took all that shit, they couldn't even stand on stage, let alone play their instruments.
That early version of Go With The Flow
This band has so much personality holy shit, it’s like they’re an animated rock band from some cartoon that popped out of my television screen
I always think it's badass af that homme is using the same ultra ovation gp he first got when he was 14. To see him use it in kyuss and early QOTSA makes me fan boy hard. That guitar is like an historical artifact to me.
You can get an "Eastwood GP" replica.
If it came down to it I might touch a penis for a ovation gp. Id give it a good thinking over that’s for sure😂
@@The9thChorda lot of people have be annoying ovations instagram about reissuing them trough Eastwood… you should do the same
@booitsnick8075 I'm not alot of people, and don't care about another Les Paul alternative. You're free to waste your time though. Ovation has stated they have no intention of ever releasing another guitar. That's why they gave the rights over to Eastwood. Now that you know this, reconsider your plan.

much love to brendon and gene, two very underrated members in this bands history!
Gene Trautmann is underrated.
Great drummer
Josh has always mixed it up, as far as lineups, but never plays with any slouches.
He’s Conan Troutman
@@failedimagineer2100 fucking kyuss!
He was their best drummer. Homme wanted him to replace Brant as well
one of the great....
It's incredible how the line up of this band has changed over the years
And still sound good
Well that's the thing. I might be wrong but I don't think Josh ever wanted the same band night in and night out, from one album to the next. From what I could tell.
Scott R I think that’s fairly harmful though. The bands that seem to progress the best seem to have decades of experience with the same lineup like Converge, Mastodon and Tool. However my fav album is self titled and second fav is ...Like Clockwork so I guess they’re doing just fine lol.
@@MrRatclima yeah a lot of steadiness in the past 10 years...
Also, I like how In My Time of Dying riff is thrown into the between songs on the lap steel
Alfredo was the greatest drummer in the band
8 months after I wrote my comment below..I'M STILL in hospital..& In for about my 5 th viewing .this SERIOUSLY had to be one of the best festival performances recorded ever..grest.I know one thing I have probs with my dancing together guys & Kyuss for nearly 30 yrs 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🍄🍄
I'm 34, been listing for 20 years now. I'm finding this all more amazing as I get older. I surely can, Go with the flow
The start of Precious and Grace is one of the most badass riffs, especially with Nick's bass driving
also love how brendon just smacks the keyboard during lost art
I love hearing this cover, which is the first song of the show on this song sung by Mark Lanegan. Rest in peace man!
Crazy how much they changed A Song for the Deaf
It wasnt even out at this point, this is a super early version of it I think
Pre-Dave Grohl!
Dave Grohl did drumming on Songs for the Deaf, and this was before it
jesus christ different song than a song for the dead :DD lol
@@parrywolfe2260 Drumming is pretty similar I think?
Man, I miss Mark Lanegan in this band
Always need MORE Lanegan. Never enough of Mark Lanegan, ever.
Goddamn me too.
Trainy ayeee I saw big business in Memphis! Bought their cassette.
And Nick Oliveri
@@petergriffin355 aww that's cool I got the cassette to even tho I don't have a cassette player
In fact, every song Mark sings is amazing!!!
Different Lyrics Songs for the Deaf, and mindblowing live performance here yes!
If there is one concert i could go to, it'd be this one. What a legendary lineup.
God I'm going to miss that raspy deep soulful voice. RIP
So awesome 🖤 Josh and Nick’s harmonies are something beautiful 🖤 RIP Lanegan, no one like him
I had no idea. They featured 3 singers at one time. Amazing.
This concert here is when I found out Josh Homme was my spirit animal. Satan bless you, QOTSAarchive.
Carlo Von Sexron I'm always expecting to see your comments in qotsa videos. lol You're in everywhere
Carlo Von Sexron with that name you're the man!
Carlo Von Sexron ich war auch da, seitdem eingefleischter Fan, sie sind und bleiben einfach großartig 🤘
rock n roll
I have the slight suspicion that you're Homme himself, way to many coincidences...
21 years ago?!!! Damn.
Incredible band. I had an amazing time to this music and still do. Classic.
Wow, this is fantastic! Heavy riffs and eerie slide guitar.
I feel a little burn inside not being able to be there. Such a great time in Music with this epic band. Thanks for sharing
Great line up. Quick and Pointless and Tension Head, Nick smashing it., best versions.
Song for the deaf... doesn't get any better ! Love lanagans voice in that song with those rippin guitars
This great to see. Lanegan is a god in this performance.
My favourite Concert of all the times!
I miss Mark so much. Rest in peace you fucking badass.
Oh God that Tension Head... best performance ever... sound was so great!
Who misses Mark up there? Man it sucks he is not around to rock out more.
Man. I miss Nick Oliveri in this band
QOTSA has never had a bad concert. Legends
Yes they have. That's why Nick has Freitag 4:15 tattooed on his chest. Josh has it tattooed on him somewhere too. It's to remind them of the worst show they ever played, on a Friday at 4:15pm in Germany. Apart from that, they always rock!
This is a great era of Queens. Really everything up until Oliveri left was their best era imo. Thanks for the post!
You mean, was fired.
Homme asked Oliveri to leave. He wasn't necessarily fired, just asked to leave.
Jonathan Knox too bad he's a stupid fuck
Jonathan Knox don't you just know it!
I'm more of a fan of the era from Rated R through Like Clockwork...so much variety & emotion.
Love your work from Torquay Australia
EU ESTOU VICIADO NESSE SET LIST! QOSA
Nick was such a talented dude and his voice went so well with Josh. This was a great QOTSA era. I saw Nick live with his band mondo generator after he left and the show was fucking insanely good, but it was obvious he was in a bad way. great upload thank you!
He's still a talented dude, check out his new band Stoner.
@@s0m3cunt91 yeah, he had me thinking he was dead for a minute there.
@@kitten6363 he buried him alive
Gdmn ... Mark Lanegan singing early 70s ZZ Top. Fckn incredible.
Mark is so damn underrated and so very totally overly talented!
The piano played with Avon is something new! Really nice
I subbed. Thanks for all these great shows!
Dieses Konzert/ Festival wird für immer in meinen Erinnerungen sein...es war einfach nur geil! RIP Mark ✌️
😪
Excelente video 👌🏻
I'm old enough to remember downloading this version of Song for the Deaf on Kazaa or something before the album came out.
Gene Bone 2001 was awhile ago now, sorry.
Wow those stuffs from the first album are the heaviest things they ever recorded !
This is so badass.❤️
saw the first time on this tour at kultur fabrick , it was huge, Gene Trautman is such a good drummer .
Best version of go with the flow ever!!
Josh homme’s vocals are so incredible and distinctive loved their stuff off Rated R
Is he the ginger Elvis though??? 🤔
@@brandonbelongstocharlottef1798 🤣
great mix, awesome audio
Fuck, Lanegan is awesome.
This is freaking great
Gene Trautmann is my favorite QotSA drummer along with Hernandez.
they were essential in shaping QOTSA, the rest are just possers
@@MAtogable Idk, I just like him because he's consistent but with good energy. Nothing crazy, plays the songs like they sound on the album, and they sound good there.
Grohl is obviously a great drummer and laid down some great stuff on Songs for the Deaf.
Castillo guy was too much and Theodore is just not the right fit sound-wise.
But I just like how Trautmann plays everything with the right energy, doesn't take the spotlight. Good base for a great rockband imo, Alfredo Hernandez similarly.
If I have to just look at the live performances Trautmann is the most steady without losing the energy (I don't like Theodore's energy).
@@faramund9865 is not just performance but songwriting. Remember Gene wrote the drums for Songs for the Deaf, Grohl just recorded them. But I feel you, what Gene and Freddo have in common is "the Swing", they play like musicians, not drummers and were part of the band, the rest are just sesion drummers and you can tell in the last 3 records
@@faramund9865 Hernandez contributed all of the great drumming on their self-titled album. He was great in Kyuss also. Rated R and Self-titled are the best Queens albums.
Trautmann is a great drummer. So is nick lucero
Best version of Quick and to the Pointless. Absolutely demented
Excellent
Walkin On Sidewalks killed. Absolutely phenomenal
Love lanegan singing these songs
Lol when Josh says burn like a cock house!! 21:16 - Nick Cracks up!
bit miss old QOTSA, they had such fucking good vibes...wish they bring back nick on bass/ screaming/vibe/ and dave grohl on drums!
This show is phenomenal.
Watching "I think I lost my headache" has been another level experience....they have never sounded better....( thinking it twice, yes they have; when Nick Oliveri sings... ;)
Tight show! Qotsa sure are big in Europe! Everyone seems to be in it, no need for phones! Also love the very first version of Go with the Flow!
second performance of Flow. they played it two days earlier in Portugal for the first time :)
Lanegan KILLING it on Precious & Grace... ~RIP~ bruh...
That opening song hits so hard.
One of my absolute favorite queens concerts
The energy is just so great
Not to mention that early version of deaf with alternate lyrics
Oof
RIP Mark Lanegan 💔
Relax in peace Mark
his voice is epic!
Mark Lanegan rox!
RIP Mark
Cool to early an early version of song for the deaf sung entirely by mark Lanegan
Awesome
That is the sickest version of A Song For The Deaf ever!
The way these guys end the song Walking on sidewalks, is great
Rip Mark,an a bit of trivia if u don't know he was supposed 2 record on there first record.Yet anyone that knows his story or indeed listened or read his book he was otherwise engaged.so the walking on sidewalks rendention right here is gold.Thank you,2 who ever put it up x
best period of the band
Cool to see how song for the deaf evolved from here to the album version.
Mark Lanegan's voice is a destroyer
He is a monster, Holy shit
Rest in peace Mark Lanegan
Mark Lanegan, il est tellement classe ce mec, putain d'classe!
First time I saw them was in 2013 and they literally brought the same sick nasty energy. Love!!
sorry, but.. no way
@@TaylorLearaw sorry but yeah...
JOSH + NICK THE VERY BEST DUO EVER IN queens of the stoned age
I love this line up. I think Gene could have done a great job on drums in "Songs for the Deaf". He deserves way more credit
wow, they played "Go With The Flow" before "Songs For the Deaf" was released, awesome.

Mark Lanegan
Gene Trautmann
Brendon McNichol
Nick Oliveri
Josh Homme

In the earlier days they were Queens of the Red Hair and rumor was you couldn't be in the band unless you had red hair or were friends with someone with red hair. Thats how Josh Homme and Jesse Hughes started with Eagles of Death Metal.😂
Brendan is giving me anxiety on some of these songs... too easy imagining myself on stage in his place playing the same off-notes XD
He’s adding nothing of value most of the time 🤦🏽♂️
Back when rock music was still a thing.
I don't think anybody was ready for this show. Holy fuck.
Brendon McNichol's best contribution was "Go With the Flow"
people don't realize that he recorded the lead you hear on the album!
@@shoe5895 and that lead is beautiful.
@@shoe5895 Brendon is on Songs for the Deaf album?
@ I always wondered what effects were used on the guitar, especially when the lead stopped right before Josh came in with vocals. It was blistering lol
Frggin sweet !~!!! ! !
