Crazy Layout! Otis Traction Elevators at the Clayton Triangle Garage in Clayton, MO

- (October 2023) This is a parking garage I've been curious about for a while now, and I decided to finally check it out. They are Otis with Series 1 buttons, but they have a really strange layout. Each elevator serves a different lowest level. What I initially thought would be a simple set of elevators turned into a really interesting adventure!

I’ve never seen a 14-floor parking garage, or one with L as the 4th floor!
I actually have seen places where the lobby is on 4 or 5 so it is not new to me or crazy
It's weird that a parking structure has a fancy lobby like that lol

This is how the doubletree hotel in downtown Little Rock is laid out. The difference is the 3 parking levels. I'll record them maybe this week.

Wow only one elevator goes down to 1 which is crazy
aside from the left one, what really surprises me is the right one doesnt go down to 1, as far as i can tell it looks like the space exists for it to do so. What a strange installation these are
My guess is it has something to do with the geology and digging the foundation, hence it was easiest to dig only one or two elevator shafts downward into the basement levels instead of all three. The lobby is on the fourth floor anyway, so chances are most people coming down from the upper floors are just heading to the lobby and it won't matter which car they get. I'm sure people have gotten confused nonetheless, so it's nice they at least put those signs in the cars telling you which floors the car serves :)

That’s an odd/weird layout for 3 Elevators serving only a certain number of floors. At 6:04, that’s a weird Chime glitch too.

I’d mod these with destination dispatch to make getting the elevator you need easier
I’ve never seen anything like this. The closest I have was a penthouse elevator that goes one higher than the others

This was one of those places that kept confusing me the more elevators I rode.
