That's a really nice YZ. What a great job he did! Dang.
Sweet bike. When you gotta smoke, IME the STIC Super X carb will create the broadest and strongest powerband to be had. No need for head work, pipe, mapping or even porting. I recommend the slow turn G2 throttle cam. Greatly improved for short shifting and no problem hanging with 450's.

I built an 06 yz 125, full restore the bike was stunning and ran great, three rides in the frame cradle snapped on both sides 😭
Bike sounds deep and throaty ! It is jetted perfectly, a little tick rich everywhere, which creates more power and torque ! Lean , clean jetting, revs too quickly and produces less power and torque.

I owned an 07 Cr 250 redid the whole bike and didn't want to ride it because some parts were too expensiveor hard to find and just couldn't find them, my buddy used to race local tracks he liked the honda I still love Honda but he made me an offer I couldn't refuse he traded me two 2018 Yz250's for it. I rebuilt them both nothing was untouched on either of them, He redid the Honda the way he wanted ,It took me a lot less time alot less money for two bikes than it did for him to do what he wanted to do on the Cr I traded him for. He sold the Cr250 on Easter Sunday this year and didn't get half of his money back that he put into it. I grinned at him and told him I'll sell him on of my Yz's that he traded for he said no bought a engagement ring for his girlfriend June 1st they broke up now they are going to court to get his ring back. She knows she has to give it back she knows it, but she's making him spend thousands for a lawyer to get it back. Now my friend of 20 years is not talking to me anymore because his ex girlfriend is my cousin and the best friend I ever had and she's now not talking to me because I won't sell the bike because they use to belong to him. I love my bikes fuck them both. True story I don't have the mental capacity to make this shit up. He lives five houses away from me and I make sure to start them up every day to keep them lubed up don't want to start a dry motor. Saturday I was supposed to go to my local track but it got rained out no biggie I have a very large back yard and ride them there. I caught him watching me the whole time lol. She called my wife and complained I was making too much noise, and threatened to call the police my wife told her to do it. The officer that showed up laughed and was intrigued with my bikes in the garage. I now have a new riding buddy going to my local track this weekend to go riding. I love dirtbikes lol.
