I am 57 and in the early seventies I have discovered John's music. He blew my mind then and he still blowing my mind today with this great album...For me he is the greatest musician alive. Look how honest he speaks and what kind of a gentlement he is. When I first bought this album and brought it home I listened to it 3 days straight. Each time I was listening I was hearing new themes, would like it more and more, Great musicians. I loveu You are my biggest inspiration, period! You are the ONE!
This Great Soul changed my life, and the way I perceive music.
Good
This what started the creation of the world's most beautiful contemporary music - what a joy to listen to such a master musician
"We were all tripping." Right on John. Can't wait to see him live again. I might just dose this time.
Thank you for this . GOD bless you .
A pleasure Jerry.. Glad you like it.
Thats greatness. Thats McGlaughlin. One of the worlds greatest musicians is humble and gracious man telling it like it is about music. That's rare in that industry. I was a circus performer when I met him after a show he had just done where I had a front row seat & he wanted to see me do a thing. He offered some food because It was dark & cold. It was a shock to suddenly have him wanting to be my audience cos I was 19 at the time.and was blown away just because he was talking to me.lmao
John is a great conversation.. Thats a sign of a great artist too.
I saw John in Buenos Aires with the fourth dimension in Buenos Aires. John, it's amazing.
"coool jazz, smooooth jaaazz, funky jaaaazz"
My friends tell me all the time that I don't understand jazz because I don't want to play swing and because I use an electric high gain sound when i play. This man istruly right, jazz has always been an evolving genre from the early days
True
really good to hear him talk about jazz that way, something I've been thinking about a lot. Especially after watching Ken Burns' Jazz
A lot of musicians shy away from this kind of discussion as they think it hurts their financial situation.. John doesn't seem to be bothered by that.
John's 1st solo on Guardian Angel with Paco Al Di alone is insane levels of technical inspired beauty.
the Master.
"Lilah's Dance" at 7:34!!
'cool jazz...cliche...'
amen! jazz is NOW!
@DoctorEeam Yes, that's the word: Greatness.
As Miles Davis said: "He's the one, the killer." What a great musician!!"
The audio captured his great Godin tone (GHN1).
John's music will ensure. Becuase he's not just a great virtuoso. He composes so well too. That's why the pure shredders are two a penny in comparison
nice nike shrt
true..
Sort of the spirit of John's style, wouldn't you agree? "Just Do It!" ;))
In other words John "agrees with Pat Metheny..."
Yes.. Its sounds like he does.
Didnt know that he's sponsored by Nike.....
