I actually had a demeter fist run that was just amazing. The main strategy was getting Dio's attack, then Artemis special and Aphro dash. Then the core duo boons that you want are splitting headache and low tolerance to just do insane damage. It might not seem like much, but this simple combo + priviliged status just melted Hades
I’d rather have a new god with a full set of duo boons. I like that Chaos and Hermes are different.

My take: Spear (an aspect with the thrown special), curse of pain from Ares so special inflicts doom, and the Daedalus hammer Chain Skewer so the special ricochets between enemies. Then anything that buffs Doom damage. I also had Weak effects on my dash and attack, and the Curse of Longing duo boon so that doom effects keep striking weakened enemies. It was my fastest run yet; I was clearing big rooms in Elysium in a handful of casts with ease!
how to the hell do you apply aspects
You mean aspect of hades? The punishing damage works on increasing the damage of doom? That might make it even more potent than the aspect of chaos shield build.
Don’t forget extra crit from Artemis and max backstab damage on that build!

That would be *very* difficult to implement chaos boons with duos, since each chaos boon is just 2 halves, a challenge and a small Stat buff, kinda smooshed together. Not a lot of interesting direction gameplay-wise, at least none that would be worth doing. Plus, flavor-wise, Chaos doesn't interact with anyone but Zagreus, and *maybe* Nyx based on some of the dialogue.
@@drflannelxd904 I could figure out how to implement a duo. Make the sacrifice from the chaos worse (like 50% less movement speed turns into 70% less movement speed for x chambers for an example) while applying the first half of the duo buff. Since chaos stuff is flat number increases, it isn't too hard. Anything can be applied to numbers.
I've recently come to really, really appreciate Backstab Arthur. Shadow Slash+Heartbreak Slash means you're punching for 500 on your first like 1000 with your second swing (upwards of 1500-1750 even, if you put Boiling Blood and Privileged Status on that enemy) if you backstab, which is weirdly easier for Arthur than other weapons I find, because you can buffer the dash in your attack instead of an attack in your dash, which gives you way more control over the hitbox's timing and direction.
One time I got Hoarding Slash from Daedalus' Anvil at the end of a on a run where I had like 2500 gold at the start of Styx because I was planning on buying the Titan Blood. Needless to say, fuck Titan Blood when you can humiliate the God of the Dad, and I just proceeded to 2-shot each of his HP thresholds.

One of my all time favorites was the homing special bow plus zeus boons. If you get that chance to apply the electricity twice that's already good, if you get his legendary boon it just melts enemy hp. The artemis hybrid boon goes well with it.
I think they killed this now. I heard about it, but the lightning doesn't anymore trigger on additional arrows from Charon special, only the first one.

Not particularly creative, but I enjoy just how much you can explode bosses with aspect of chiron, artemis on special, aphrodite on attack, and heart rend. Just... boom, headshot.
Have you tried Aphrodite attack, Dio special, and Low Tollerance? Bosses melt.
Don't forget adding Ares's special giving you the possibility of getting Hunting Blades on top :)

Hey Haelian, what i love about those videos is the simple fact, that you show icons and names for the boons. Not "just" a playthrough. This feels more like a quick and dirty guide, just what I need sometimes!

@@ordenax Idk much about Athena but an Artemis cast build for aspect of Poseidon is really crazy with Exit Wounds and gets even better with Support Fire and (eventually) Fully Loaded.
The only thing I dislike about Poseidon is that he has only 2 good duo boons. Otherwise Poseidon is my favourite god. Athena on the other hand only interests me for divine dash.
Here are some of my favourite builds apart from hunting blades: Crit-a-cutter, putting Artemis on Demeter Special and getting Kinetic Launcher (with Heart Rend if Aphro on attack or dash)
Meme Beam, with crystal clarity, extra casts or cast damage, and arctic blast if beams are applying chill
My favorite build is this: getting Ares boons for normal, special and revenge damage. Dionysus dash for hangover. Getting Artemis for cast. And then for the call either Zeus, Artemis or Ares. And just inflict doom everywhere. Get some more boons from Ares to upgrade doom and I use the twin fists, Varatha or Stygius for this build. As keepsake I use the pom blossom to rapidly upgrade my boons and then I use Mort to finish of all the bosses.
I tried the bow build you mentioned. And while it is extremely powerful, I found more raw damage in another bow build. Chron/heart rend. Now this is a difficult build to achieve properly, same as cluster rocket. You need both the +3 dmg for each consecutive hit hammer, as well as the + 5 arrows to special hammer. But if you get both of those, + heart rend, and might as well aim for Sweet Surrender while you're at it, it absolutely melts Hades. I'm talking 1/3 his HP bar PER special. Granted I had a +special dmg boom from Chaos. But even without that it would be absolutely OP. And easier to play, similar to the ease of Merciful End.
Like you said, it's about builds that make the game play itself and this build fits that bill moreso than Rama.
With the bow i found a build that deals insane damage. Im relatively new to hades so im not sure if it works but, aspect of hera and the casts of aphrodite. You put the three cristals and a power shot dealt sooo much damage
Personally I love Rama bow with relentless volley and Zeus on special. Getting Poseidon on cast and then all his fun damage adding boons or going with Ares on main to drop out Doom. There is so many different complimentary gods that work with it. Add in Hermes special speed and then Artemis on call. Using a bunch of the different boons to load up on double strike, damage output goes through the roof and the icing on the cake is getting Lightning rod. If you can manage to get an extra cast or 2 from Chaos and the pool, having 5 casts out there just pounds out the damage. And then having support fire and some other stuff to amp up how quickly you can drop your call, you can 1 shot chunk entire phases of the bosses. This build lets me even just run around Hades and not even need to touch him between the lightning rod strikes and then Arty Call. It's absolutely my favorite build to run.
Learning that Shadow Slash doesn't affect Dash Strikes is really upsetting 🤔. But for Merciful End on the Fists, I'd strongly recommend building it on Talos. Talos is one of my fave aspects bc you pull the enemies wherever you like. Just apply Ares' Doom on the Special which pulls the enemy to you, then hit with Athena on the Strike & you'll be deflecting & also activating the Dooms
Try adding Cast pre-Talos Aphro Special, I love it! EVERYTHING Melts!!! 😂
My first win against Hades was with Cluster Rocket on Adamant Rail. I think even the same aspect as the one mentioned here. It was on my 28th overall run and 2nd time playing with the Adamant Rail. After that, I start seeing videos like this to learn more about the game as I continue.
For Rail I thought the supersoaker build would make it into the list but this Eris build looks really fun! Cant wait to try it out
Saw Beowulf and Trippy flare and got excited. One of my favorite builds, but I love to add in Ice Wine with it. Taking a Dio on attack also unlocks fun hangover + festive fog stuff

On top you can either get Hermes' legendary that returns the cast stones to you.
Or
Get the Duo boon of Artemis and zeus, that lets the cast stone deal lightning damage till collected.
To be honest I think what makes the game the easiest to be is Crystal beam either with the Boon that follows enemies quickly or if you learn how to use it the one that follows you can be pretty good as well but it's definitely harder to use in some situations

I like Gilgamesh for Merciful End, the extra dashes really help it and dash upper helps while putting the build together.
and you dont need to spam the dash button, you just hold dash and attack and bosses go bye bye
My favorite build is the shield with hangover on the special, I had the chaos boon to give me +49% and doom on attacks (didn't use them as much) just focus on upgrading the hangover and you're good
Chaos doesn't affect hangover or doom, which is why it kinda sucks when you're doing a build like that. All it can do is increase the base damage of your hits, but that's not what you're going for with hangover/doom
Let me tell you how to build a better shield hangover build, use zues shield, Dionysus special, Aphrodite attack, artemis cast (for duo boon), ares' doom affect preferably the revenve boon (you could also replace Aphrodite attack with doom), athena dash for protection and you are good. Voila, a better hangover build.
The game isn't super complicated but there is a learning curve and figuring out the little things is so satisfying. Like buying temporary items for encounters is so worth it, especially if one of those encounters is a boss. Or being super frugal with your chairon coins until mid-end game.
I used Aspect of Eris and was able to shoot it three times for bonus damage, Curse of Nausea to stack Doom and Hangover Damage, I used Ares cast with 4 casts and Billowing Strength for 15% bonus damage after using my Call. Plus the Daedelus Hammer upgrade so I had 3 round burst with no reloading. Such a fun build, cleared the satyr chambers in seconds and finally beat Hades. Now I can't put the game down.
Just tried the Rama Triple just now nad you are right, it was OP! Was confident enough to take on Charon with it albeit I'm still very inexperienced with it (and my fave weapon is Coronacht, too). Was only planning to try on Ares Special with it but lucky enough to find Triple Shot Hammer, too, as well as Artemis' Deadly Strike in Tartarus! I'm still a bit rusty on Rama but it really was very powerful especially when I combined Ares and Artemis on it!
Well ... chaos shield with ares is my favorite .... But there is so much builds which are fun to play !

dio cast beowulf has been one of my favourites, also did 10:36 w/ eris today (heat 9) and almost on my 90th clear. not the fastest but anyway I enjoyed and learned with a lot of your videos, really appreciate the content. cheers!

Aspect of Zeus, either Ares or Zeus on the special, and then you recall the shield. A really fun and easy time where running past enemies kills them.

When I unlocked the shield, I was struggling with Meg, I beat her without taking hardly any damage with block. Went through to the hydra thinking I'm gonna die so I just went nuts not caring what damage I took, not knowing how to beat it, ended up killing it without dying. With all three death defiance I was able to clear Elysium only dying once then defeated Hades I couldn't believe how easy it made things.

demeter's cast with crystal clarity, ravenous will, glacial glare, killing freeze, pressure points, and some chaos boons is also pretty broken on the achilles spear
malphon aspect of zag, aphrodite/dionysis damage reduction tank build, athena dodge with feather for dodge/ms on fast clear. basically you can't lose.
Achilles Blizzard Shot + Mirage Shot has crazy damage and is def one of my favorites and if you get Flurry Jab + Zeus Attack you've made one of the best overall builds in game.
My favorite accidental build was having six Crystal beams from my cast and also having the tracker boon from Demeter that makes the crystal beams track a Target faster
Rama with explosive and twin shot phases Hades in 1 shot! Big numbers babyyy
Excalibur + Aphro attack will always have a special place in my heart (not exactly a "broken" build, but man, is it satysfing to use)

I love Arthur+Athena attack+Aphro special. Makes Zagreus a tanky boy. Only build I can clear high heat runs without losing a DD.
Rama with Demeter's special and Killing Freeze - good indicator for when you've applied the special to every enemy before you start blastin'

I had a really overpower run recently where I had aspect of Lucifer with infinite ammo, and every tick of fame from the gun, the enemy got struck by a lightning bolt. I had Poseidon’s attack with him and zues duo boon
I'm surprised the Zag bow with shotgun special hammer wasn't in this list. That's a juicy ass list though.
My three favorite builds
zag Fists- poison basics with doom specials. Cool looking combo with easy clear and since fists are super fast stacking poison is cake.
Nem Sword- basically the same setup you used except I use Athena dash for safety.
Chiron Bow- doom basics + poison special. I like the non charge basic upgrade since charging shots takes too long in most situations or I'm just terrible at timing it .. turning it into a standard attack makes life easier for me atleast.
I like using merciful end with the zues shield and the arena attack boon with the hammer that makes your attack hit twice but not knock back. It's a little hard to setup the shield in the best spot, but when you do it chunks bosses really fast.
I've been really loving aspect of hera with aphro cast on the bow recently ( I know I'm probably late but I wanted to share it anyway) been carrying me through runs recently
I bought this game maybe a week or so ago, I've been binging yours and Jawless Paul's content like crazy. Love the vids man. I'm already at 44 clears, enjoying the Tartarus out of this game.

Aspect of Poseidon + Ice Wine - ever since I combined Ice Wine with Flurry Cast and 5 total casts that Duo Boon has been my favorite for just ripping through a run with ease. Adding Poseidon and any other cast boosts just makes it all the easier. I just tried this and didn't even come close to totally loading up (no bonus casts, though I did get a nice Chaos boost for cast damage) and it was chunking damage like crazy!

I just had a Gilgamesh/Merciful End run that started in Tartarus and it was so easy. I got all of the boons that you listed, it was just so crazy
if you use the twin fists, getting tempest strike with second wave and sea storm, along with static discharge and double strike, you can rack up some insane damage
I remember a time where I got a rather ridiculous bow build with the Zagreus aspect. At the end of the day, I had Double Shot, Rapid Fire, Artemis Attack & Dash, and some other Artemis boons to make my Crits cripple even the likes of Asterius in about 30-ish seconds. It was… almost sad seeing him die so fast lmao.
My go-to easy build that got me through Extreme Measures Hades for the first time a couple days ago is Aspect of Zeus with Thunder Flourish. Once you have that, the rest of the build is somewhat flexible, but I really like to go with Artemis or Poseidon for attack, always splash dash, and if you get splitting bold or sea storm then you're set
Two of my favorites are Rama with Zeus on the special with relentless volley. Get more Zeus combos to get the lightning legendary and it's icing on the cake. How I got my first 32 heat run. You can also hope for cold fusion to get that jolted stuck.
Another really powerful yet unusual build I've found among my group of players is lucifer with cluster bomb. While I've mostly used it with Poseidon on the special, hitting an enemy with 3 or 6 bombs will just erase their hp. This damage is so insane I once went through a Charon fight in Asphodel and didn't get hit the rest of the run because I was just destroying enemies. You do have to really time your shots to deal damage this way.
The best run I ever had was as insane as any if these. Posiedon aspect sword with blizzard shot and mirage shot. Best part was that I had stygian soul and managed to get 5 casts from chaos and the well. So, with mirage, there were 10+ blizzard shots on screen at a time and I didn't need to collect the stones. Killed each phase of Hades in about 4 or 5 seconds. It required zero skill, but it was super satisfying.
don't forget the ultra meme beams on achilles!
It's not *as* busted as say merciful end fists, but one of my favorite builds is Zag Spear with Sea Storm on special. You get knockback, lightning, rupture, and jolted, all on one fast, easily spammable button. It turns EM4 into a joke.

That last build was literally what helped me clear hades for the first time. I had artimis triple rockets, but used the hammer anvil trade and got 5 rockets arc instead of triple shot. I was thinking I fucked up, then I noticed how everything melted in the sewers and then I knew I found a gem. God damn insane damage.
I stumbled into Beowulf/Trippy Flare the other night and it was one of most fun but also easiest runs I've ever done. I'm working up to Skellys prizes and I think this will take me there.

A good combo is railgun with Poseidon attack boom and the duo boon with Zeus, each time you push a enemy a lightning struck, combining it with the Zeus's boons that enhance the lightning results in a pretty powerfull build
The build I beat the game the first time with was the spear with all the Poseidon boons (without the sunken treasure or whatever useless things he offers), a little Artemis for Crit, and Zeus. Catch is you have to get exploding landed and chargey boy for it to be super good. Absolutely insane.
My favorite is getting all the revenge boons and then getting the duo to randomly trigger, plus the Ares/Athena duo.
You forgot to mention Ice Wine with Beowulf.
There's also the invincible build where you use the mirror power ruthless reflex with shadow attack then combine it with the max malphon fists, the maxed plume of Hermes, &bouldie helper. You need to try to get the Athena divine strike/dash boons, holy shield boon, &also her legendary (if possible). Her bronze skin, blinding flash, &brilliant riposte all add to the build. You will need Hermes evasion, hypersprint or heal dash, and attack speed(for invincible purposes) or rush delivery if you can get a third. For chaos get strike, lunge, and ambush (also assault if you can get more). With Daedalus use rolling knuckle/ breaching cross combo, or colossus knuckle(invincible purposes), and concentrated knuckle (if possible to get three). You can beat the game maxed out on almost all heats basically completely invincible 😅
I beat this game like 6 times and I'm still playing it but I have never seen these bosses get melted like that. Good jod. I'm gonna have to try these builds.
I was wondering if it’s possible to use Artemis call to fully kill the bull in the first 1v1 match with him, by using the call to knock him all the way to zero before he stops the fight ?
This may be a lot but I had a fun idea that may or may not work a Merciful end and Curse of Longing Build. Athena Attack, Ares Special, Aphro Dash. Probably on the fists the numbers may not be bonkers but that dps in theory would be spicy.
I know this video is a year old, but a low investment bow build I found amazing is Zag bow with flurry shot and charged volley for the hammers, and Aphro attack, Artemis special and call, heart rend, Support fire, and that’s it. You can add on to it, maybe add Athena or splash dash, Crystal clarity, hunting blades, maybe even slap on PP and hunter’s mark, but you just need a basic set up I listed. It shreds the furies, Lernie, and Hades, and deals good damage to the champion and obliterates any miniboss that isn’t named Asterius. This build gave me my second Hades fight win and also didn’t require me to perfect the charge timing, since all you need to with this build is use special up close and sherd hp bars, and Artemis greater call Lernie’s and Hades’ third phase away
Running theme is to continue to pray to the goddess of crits.
Im still new to all the builds but i like the shield with aspect of zeus and doing a merciful end build with the double strike... if i can aim it right i can kill hades on his first laser where hes just standing still. With the shield spinning on top of him and double strikes, its pretty nuts how fast his health goes down
one of my favourite builds so far has to be Stygius with Aspect of Zagreus with Cursed Slash from the hammer, Dionysis' attack and Athena's aid. It's not the biggest damage output but it makes you much tougher to kill. by the time Hades bashes me to the point of being in danger, i'll have a max athena aid to use to get aaaaall that heath back. bonus points if you can get faster attack from Hermes, Hunter's Mark and Support Fire from best girl Artemis and any boons that improve your god gauge. i've also found that the Athena Demeter duo is quite good for this setup, as well as Ares in place of Dionysus. for a while Ares attack with Dire Misfortune was my go to with this.

My personally favorite build is Rathma Bow and Hangover Special, and the duo boon that lets hangover stack 8 times. Paired with the hammer that lets Rathma shoot more arrows per special, I end up dotting everyone to death.
I'd argue that a better option for the Rail is to get Dionysis' boon on the attack, since it's relatively easy to get full Hangover stacks, then get a boon from Aphrodite or Ares to qualify for their Duo boon with Dionysis to either get more Hangover stacks or quicker damage from it.
A truly nutty combo in my experience has to be an Aphrodite attack/Ares special Chiron aspect with curse of longing.
Especially when you have dire misfortune.
My best build:
Achilles or Zagreus aspect
Flurry jab
Divine flourish (Athena Attack)
Support Fire
And then do any boon
This combo will make u deflect anything plus the bonus damage of support Fire
I recently just found the cluster rocket build by accident when trying to use the rail. I got an Anvil of the Fates that was super lucky apperently.

Trippy flare is insane lol. I had it with 6 casts and a 100% cast damage from chaos. At the end I was chunking for 6500. Legit the only time that I thought that em4 was unfair for dad

About Beowulf, did you try same build with Dyonysos + Demeter (and still a few artemis/poseidon) ? Because I think it's even more powerful ! Amazing synergy with demeter duo ang leg of demeter, because fog become rotating frozen (with still fog damage) + more froze explosion damage + explosion damage of frozen killed (leg) I really love it !!

Do you not think Gilgamesh is the best for merciful end given the inherent dash increases that allow for divine dash and doom attack to trigger more often? I think that alone makes it the aspect of choice for fists merciful end.
i once had Scintillating Feast and Lightning Rod duo boons and basically the game plays itself :D
Coronacht Zag Aspect + Artemis boons for even more critical chance + Double shot + The "hold one button" upgrade on the bow + anything else that's able to up your damage
I remember a Lucifer run I did that combined infinite ammo with splash attack, bonus wall slam damage, and wall slam explosions. I was untouchable and I was seeing numbers ramp up into 5k
This is just my oppinion but the cast shot bow has some insane potential i think, i mean when loaded fully it consistently deals 1500 to 2000 Damage and if you get Hermes boon that cast drop out after 1.5 secs, you can play rather save and still destroy everything, it is not as op as theese ones but one nice thing is that you can get first boon aphrodites crush shot and have something for the early challanges. Furthermore it can still be upgraded by getting exit wounds and with exit wounds as the requirement you could even get her legendary granting extra casts which was huge. As for the dash, it just is athena dash because that is probably one of the best dashes and gives this build savety to run in and retrieve the casts
Anyone knows why am I not getting the option to select double edge? I selectd aspect of nemesis and still don't get the double edge on the first hammer I encounter (on the very first chamber in tartatus)
One build I never see is ZEUS'S SUPER SOAKER build. It uses the aspect of LUCIFER RAIL with the INFINITE AMMO hammer upgrade. Zeus and Poseidon are going to be your main boons. Use Poseidon's flood shot for primary and thunder flourish or cast, that way you can get SEA STORM. Then you want to make sure you get STATIC DISCHARGE and RUPTURE for instant double curses. Then to top it all off you want BREAKING WAVE. This literally gives you an eraser gun lol. It completely melts bosses and if any enemies some how aren't dead by the time their pushed into a wall, breaking wave will just obliterate them Then if your lucky enough, you can throw SECOND WAVE and SPLITTING BOLT (along with anything else you wanna pack in there along the way). And personally I prefer to have TIDAL DASH for instakills in the temple of Styx. A difficult build to pull off but once you got it it immediately becomes your favorite build. Practically puts the game on easy mode. Lol

Is it possible to put merciful end and Divine dash together? I heard that you can't
I love Chiron Bow + Dio Flourish with Aphrodite and Ares duo boons. On paper it should rock (+3 Stacks, Proc every 0.35 Seconds, massive hangover damage). That being said, Hangover still is kind of slow to kill stuff and there are so many potential duo boons it is not easy to get. I think the best non-crit Chiron bow build I've had was Poseidon's Special with Sea Storm + Jolted/Cold Fusion + Rupture & 40% Extra Boss Damage. That combination rips through hades incredibly fast and it's not much harder to get than the Dio/Aphro/Ares boons as long as you don't also take Poseidon's cast or Athena/Artemis boons, which will dilute your boon pool with too many unnecessary duos.
Accidentally made the Tripppy + Beowulf had my fastest clear and haven't beat that since.
