16:35 go look at the behind the scenes for the special effects of The Creator. It’s an award winning film for special effects and they did post-effects in a very unorthodox way where there’s very little MCU style effects. That’s the exact company he brought on for Superman. She’ll 1000% look different as they took dozens of humans with no VFX set up in filming and made them look like robots. Their set design is also INSANE.

Also I agree I love the unconventional style of post vfx work Gareth edwards used for the creator. I was shocked mocap dots weren't used for the faces. I can't wait to see what he does for his Jurassic movie.

Hi boba! I've had 7 years in the post production sector of the film industry. The engineer's suit to me, looks like a mocap suit! Meaning that it is just a placeholder for post production effects that will replace the black suit in the leaked photos. Even if I'm wrong, I trust James with this kinda stuff- he's a god at bringing the weird comic stuff to life!
Hell i would add that he has given us some of the best looking comic book movies with gotg trilogy and the suicide squad. Even the cgi for peacemaker looks so good.

My thought about the Wonder Woman thing is that James and Peter probably told Patty Jenkins that they aren’t planning anything for Wonder Woman right now because they don’t want Patty and Gal involved and that’s an easier way to provide a clean break in that professional relationship. I think within a year or two we’ll have an idea of who the new Wonder Woman will be. She’s too important to exclude from the early days of the DCU, especially when you have the other two members of the trinity getting their own projects.

What if Teen Titans doesn't even feature Damian Wayne at all? There is a version of the Teen Titans that was lead there, and Tim going off to lead the Teen Titans before Brave and the Bold could explain why he isn't Batman's primary Robin in that movie, leaving space for Damian to take the mantle.
I like this also with Bart Allen/ Kid Flash and Cassie Sandsmark/Wondergirl

I will miss Brenton Thwaites as Dick/Robin/Nightwing, Anna Diop as Kory/Starfire, and others of the "DC Titans" & "Doom Patrol" shows (both shows had awesome casting).
Although odds are probably unlikely, I hope they could (if they wish and like) be casted in as some other hero (or villian) for something in DCU Gunn-verse.

Pretty silly error at 08:20 Wally West is not Damian's age. Wally West had 2 kids by the time Damian was Robin. He's part of the original teen generation with Dick. Heck he was The Flash for 20 years before Damian showed up and had his own kids before Damian was Robin.

@@superherobeatdown What are you talking about? In both the comics and Young Justice Wally is the same age as Dick Grayson. Wally is one of the founders of the original Teen Titans with Dick Grayson. He's also a founder of the team in Young Justice, and died as an adult in season 2 when Damian was still an infant. In both the comics and Young Justice Wally West is significantly older than Damian and basically the same age as Dick Grayson.
I personally hope that Tim Drake is the leader of the teen titans. I really want his character to shine in the DCU.

My dream lineup for the team for the dcu is Nightwing, Starfire, Red Robin, Blue Beetle, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Wally West, Wonder Girl, Roy Harper, and maybe Tempest or Aqualad and maybe Supergirl. I want Nightwing and Starfire to be the parents of the team and Wally, Wonder Girl, Roy, and Tempest be the teachers of the new members and Tim Drake and Dick be the main leads with Deathstroke or the brotherhood be the villains

I think it will be more Young Justice than Teen Titans. Not saying it will be called YJ or Titans but it will definitely be inspired by Young Justice.
They should definitely pull inspiration from young justice. Cadmus could honestly serve as the big bad in the live action adaptation too setting up a justice league level event.

I think the team line up will be some sort of combination of the current comic run and the new 52 animated dcamu. So I’m thinking nightwing, starfire, raven, BB, cyborg, Donna Troy, wally west, blue beetle, Tim drake robin, and terra. Now the reason I added Tim drake instead of Damian is cause assuming if gunn decided not to skip any robins like the dcamu did. Than why not utilize all 4 robins. Nightwing and Red Robin in the titans. Damian Wayne as the main robin in a Batman movie. Red hood gets a tv show or they dc does an eventual Batman under the red hood. Or another thing they could do is titans and than the sequel is teen Titans.

I would love for Gareth Evans (the RAID) to direct a DC project like TEEN TITANS.
Diana could easily be introduced in Paradise Lost, a whole series potentially exploring the Amazons culture, maybe even the creation of Diana from clay, or by Zeus himself. So we could have the whole Trinity in the first half of Chapter 1, Superman (Superman), Batman (Brave and the Bold), and Wonder Woman (Paradise Lost).

Regarding the engineer suit, they could easily make it look metallic. Maybe not chrome, they could make it some black metal, no?
Still different to the comics, as she’s not really wearing clothes there, but it could look cool.
A Teen titans movie sounds awesome and as someone who's just seen the cartoon version here's hoping one of that shows villians is used in the first movie. Either as the main one or just as a supporting one for the main villian, just as a nice nod to it you know. It's the show that made me see just how badass Robin can really be and how horribly represented he's been in live action. I mean he slices up literal flame demons in that show and it was awesome.
Jenkins talked about "her" Wonder Woman and that version is done, but obviously not the character itself.
Ok time to really pick up my pace on my teen titans collection and nightwing collection
My top 5 wants for the Titians movie
1. The team being the one from the cartoon, but with Tim Drake as Robin and not dick.
2. Tim, not Damian, as the robin of the film because this is really the only place he could get a good role. I also hope that brave in the bold is soon after Tim leaves, and this film will be soon after.
3. It would be the first version of the team, preferably, but if it is the second version, then the first team would have Dick, blue beetle,Zatana, Supergirl, Donna Troy and maybe aqualad.
4. Deathstroke and his family is the main villians, and maybe adapt the judas contract.
5. Dick Grayson has a smallish supporting role, giving Tim advice and maybe fight Deathstroke at some point in the movie and maybe having already fought him in the past.
This'll totally make Robin from Teen Titans Go really happy either way...his whole thing in Teen Titans Go to the Movies was about this 🤣🤣

Over mapping, motion capture points I think is what you meant Boba 👍, as for her face it would look more realistic to take a few make up silver head shot's not CGI so it looks real then map and paste after you have a base as we are all tired of full CGI. Would Cassie Sandsmark as Wonder girl in TT class as Wonder Woman tie in ?
I REALLLY hope we get a series that goes of movies from Teen Titans to just Titans, to some great Nightwing solo content. This is probably the better way to introduce wider audiences to Dick Grayson. Been waiting for solid Nightwing movie action ever since the Loren Lester voiced Robin.
I think a teen titans where newly Nightwing is around 18/19, still a teen but with a well established Titans, and Damien is 9/10 as Robin.
The Engineer suit is definitely interesting. But I totally agree that they’re going to use CGI. It could also be that she just has a costume for moments where she’s not powered up. Kind of like Johnny Storm when he’s not on fire. Or maybe for this film her powers don’t cover her full body yet but just her limbs 🤷🏾♂️
Hey Boba Talks from what I read wonder woman is supposed to be introduced in Paradise Lost TV Show.
Not entirely sure where you read that, not saying you're wrong but from what I heard she won't even be born yet. That show is supposed to be a mythology about themyscira long before the birth of diana. Now it's possible, the show might end with the birth of diana but it's hard to know for sure if that's the direction the show will go as we know nothing about it besides what james gunn has teased.

But I am fairly certain/hopeful that we will see the birth of wonder woman at the end of the show. It's likely to take place decades or even centuries or possibly even thousands of years before her birth.
Although i anticipate there will be some metallic cgi over it, i presumed that the engineer suit from the leaks was some sort of tactical suit she would wear. It looks somewhat militaristic.

Imo you don't want the lineup to have too many members, and I want a good mix of the old OG sidekick titans and the popular version people know from cartoon. I'd miss Cyborg's dynamic with Beast Boy but I wouldn't add him because he's to associated with Justice League now.

To me, DCU 'Teen Titans' should Be a FUN, Adventure Movie and has the Most Potential of the DCU movies since
1. Theres Popularity amongst Younger Generations
2. has a '4 Quadrant' Appeal amongst the Main 'Teen Titans' Characterst Past
3. a Rich storyline especially from Marv Wolfman/George Perez Comics RUN but also the Current storyline from TOM TAYLOR's TITANS!

I take Patty Jenkins comments to be her talking about her films specifically. And even if she said the the DCU isn’t interested in using the character of Wonder Woman, she must mean her/ SnyderVerse version of the character. James has mentioned using the character too many time by now.

I think it's possible she might mean she isn't doing anything wonder woman related in the DCU, but it's also very likely she was also referring to James Gunn's plan that doesn't include Wonder Woman for a little bit, but we'll definitely be getting hopefully a new reboot movie within the first 3 years. You gotta have Wonder Woman if you're doing Superman and Batman. Also, Boba, I love how you always put fanart of Alexandra Daddario as Wonder Woman for the DCU in your thumbnails. Is that who you'd want to play her and that's why you put artwork in the thumbnails or is there another actress you think would fit the role more? In my opinion, I think she's perfect for Wonder Woman. She's younger than Gal Gadot was when she was cast for the DCEU, but maybe it is wise to cast younger, not saying Gal Gadot was bad, in fact she was one of the only good parts of the DCEU, including her first movie, but I also think Alexandra Daddario would nail the role. She has the looks, the acting chops and I think the role would suit her. Casting Wonder Woman isn't about which actress looks the most attractive, it's what they bring to the role and what sets them apart from other versions of the character and can they embody what Wonder Woman means to the DC Universe. I would love it if James Gunn cast her as the DCU Wonder Woman. Here's to hoping!

First casting should be xolo mariduena back as blue beetle then have him cameo later on in the booster gold series with her girlfriend to follow up on the mid credit scene on Ted kord plus Deathstroke would be an ideal villain
I feel like… there’s an obvious decision to avoid “origins” in the DCU because Gunn knows when it comes to the more famous diamond and diamond-adjacent characters, that we know who they are. We just wanna see the dynamics on the big screen. So I think Teen Titans will have Tim Drake. Nighwing and Red Hood will both be adults and exist in their own stuff to see their dynamics play out with other character. Batman is very much a Damian film and Titans will be a Tim Drake film. Also, with Blue Beetle, he’s like a grown college student, so I expect him to return for Booster Gold.
That’s just my guess. Or maybe just hopes. Ool

You can have it that robin is sixteen, maybe he is not getting on in school getting into a lot of trouble so he ends at home which leads to Bruce mentoring him. A sixteen year old would be more sound as a side kick than someone younger. Then he could still become nightwing at 21 or 22

What if the images we see of Maria are photos of her practicing in the environment which they will film her in? She may change into her cgi/tracking suit later when actually filming. Just a possibility. But maybe post-production AI is good enough to not need to track her face and can cover her with the actual suit. We'll see.
Literally every time a set photo gets released you have people saying "it looks like a CW show." They said it for Pattinson, they said it when the Wolverine set photos were released. They say it for everything lol.

I think the Engineer’s suit in the bottom photos looks ok. The problem is when it folds it looks weird and rubbery. I would imagine chrome is a nightmare to film with, so I think the suit will be made chrome in post. All in all, I’ll have to see the final product before I can really say if I like it or not.
Gunn should confirm the casting of wonder woman and batman first before the titans. Cause they and Superman are the face of DC
the most likely way i could see them doing the titans is maybe have the original titans and then maybe them all disbanding and going their own ways like dick becoming nightwing and then come back together (dick, starfire, damian, maybe blue beetle or supergirl)
I'm so terrified at the possibility of all of those sidekicks in the Teen Titans movie without building a relationship with their mentors first.

My thought on the look of the Engineer is either, that’s not her final form OR Superman has already helped her at this point & created her suit in the Fortress that helps her be able to go back to human form & switch to silver form at will.
thats clearly a mocap suit. you can see the cells on it (the white squares) so its NOT going to be the suit. we have to wait til post is done to know what she will really look like

The Engineer will of course have a CG suit and with Gunns experience with comic accurate suits in GOTG and Suicide Squad it will be nice 🤌 Think WW will be introduced in first 3 years, people just got to chill

As far as the Engineer and her costume goes , if you have ever watched CW legends of tomorrow Citizen Steel looked normal until he activated his steel form I believe the Engineer will more then likely do the same thing so I'm not worried. As far as Wonder Woman Pattie was referring to her run also Gail is also done. James has his Own ideas and Wonder Woman will be recast we know this so why the media keeps asking Patty and Gail questions about it is really mute.
