My great grandfather came from Crete and Salonica to Mexico, before that he had Venitian and Croatian Jewry from an Ashkenazi family, he was originally from the Navarre Kingdom of Spain but his family picked up different DNA from his 500 year adventure throughout europe.
I kinda look like 3:33 which probably has egyptian and libyan sephardic admixture too, which is very cool.

Oh wow really 😧😲😳 no shit! But what is the oldest community outside of Israel or the Safari community you mean the community that was in Spain for almost 2500 years! If we were never expelled we would have made it to 3,000 right we were there since a ton of King David.

Romaniote Jews are not Sephardic...they are a Greek speaking community, not a Ladino one.

WOW, had no idea there were any Greek Jews living there today. Both my parents were born in Lefkas (around 50km south) and they told me about the Jews from Thessaloniki that perished in WWII but not from there.

Actually, there are two types of Greek Jews: Romaniote and Sephardi. The Romaniote Jews are Jews that lived in Greece at least since the Second Temple period. They speak a variant of Greek language known as Yevanic or Judeo-Greek. and had incorporated Hebrew and Aramaic loanwords into it. Sephardic Jews on the other hand originated in Spain and many settled in Ottoman Greece after being expelled by the Spanish monarchs King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. In fact, Greek Jews are now predominantly Sephardic Jewish descent as many Romaniote Jews became assimilated into Sephardic Jewish population. As a result, the Romaniote Jews are now a minority in Greece with estimated 2000 strong members.
