same man, this music us like no other, simply remarkable, airdrawndagger came out the same year as well, had both albums on repeat.

Sasha and John Digweed and Hernan Cattaneo are incredible artist... I was raving in the 90s, now at 42 I got kids who appreciate electronica music.

I remember snagging this and Sasha's Airdrawndagger in 2002 right when both were released on a Friday. Sat down and grooved to both all night and into the morning. Epic solo night that's I'll never forget!

This and GU019 albums are the breaking point in electronic music where progressive house and slower bpms took over, after years of trance dominance.
You never listened to enough music then mate.
Most of the GU boys were still spinning this in the early 90’s.
Check out Anthony Pappa's NuBreed release for GU... That was the game changer in terms of direction for prog. Definitely some smaller DJ mixes etc before that, but NuBreed was the one most will be able to point to.
Zero tolerance played a massive role in the deeper darker sound, led by Gab Oliver. 😎
I bought this summer 2002 at Princeton record exchange. Im 47 and i keep coming back to it.

This mix came out right between what I would call the post Trance era. Around 2003 there was a lull in the movement. The clubs started slowing down and big name DJs like Calvin Harris, and David Guetta were unknown. Deep Dish had just released their legendary GU-25 Toronto mix, and just before Digweed again ushered in a wave of electro tinged progressive house with his Transitions mix series. This was an important time for house music, because no one knew which direction it was heading. Of course John Digweed showed us the way. He always has.

I remember when this album came out & I listened to it on repeat basically in my ride everyday while I was working.. It was this & James Lavelle Barcelona.. They basically stayed in the CD player.. Both still complete classic sets..

I was listening to this when it came out I think it was in very early '00s and I still listen to this in 2021...
80 years later and this mix is an absolute banger...by that time I'll be dead and someone else can tell how of a much of a banger Digweed's MMII mix is.

Fond memories of listening to this track during my weekend trip to San Francisco for my sister's wedding. She is still married and her oldest daughter just started college at Univ. Washington on a half-ride soccer scholarship.
