That's great especially how you talked with your interviewer about implementing data sovreignty into your project, those deep topic converstaions are the best way to prove your knowledge. I'm also a cloud engineer at 19 so I'm glad to see there are other following the same path!!

@@k4g7 Before cloud, everything was on-premise all the servers. So a lot of cloud engineers were previous sys admins. But coming from a coding background, Cloud was used a lot in software engineering because that’s where all the apps are run. So the transition was easy. You could go from helpdesk, software engineering, networking, sys admin into Cloud

Great Video from an honest person! Unlike these so called "become cloud engineer in little as 3 months" videos i see influencers making aren't very realistic that nothing more than click bait for views. Those are the people to steer clear away from. The key to success is "job shadowing" different teams while working in a support role which I don't see a lot of people doing these days and glad to see that you did that. I'm that's exactly what Network Chuck did before he gotten his CCNA as he shadowed the network team which is how he gotten hands on experience and became a Network Engineer without a degree. Having a homelab also helps with practical hands-on experience.

Finishing my course of degree as industrial engineer (this is my last year) and i decided to become a cloud engineer. by the momento is impossible because i work full time and then go to university and that. The point is i'll begin my trip as cloud engineer by 2025.

Love to hear it! I have a few pieces of advice, 1. Never tell yourself you’re “just not smart enough”. 2. Focus on turning studying into a habit (Atomic Habits is a great book to help). 3. Have grit, being able to continue to do something day in and day out even if it’s hard or boring is a great skill. 4. Market yourself! Post your projects on LinkedIn! I have a whole video on tips to get a job in it (It’s named something like “Tech with no degree” or something like that) if you want to hear me talk more on the subject. You got this man!

I.T is mostly experience and Certification driven. I have no degree either and I work as a Red Hat Linux Admin. I taught myself Linux tinkering around in my homelab with. I dropped out of college as I learned everything on my own. Degrees aren't usually required. Typical its listed as "Preferred" with Or Equivalent Experience. Many times, the degree is not listed at all especially for a lot of Cloud jobs. Most Job descriptions are nothing more than a wish list as rarely anyone meet 100% of the requirements.
