I'll never forget that season, Attended every home game with my best mate Paul, Whether we were in the jungle or the Celtic end we always had a great time. I was only sixteen at the time and it was the best time of my life then.
Was over in Glasgow twice for a Celtic game last year going over for St Patrick's weekend again in March did the tour as well brilliant tour the Celtic fans are great fans way I was treated was top class greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
At every home game with my granda at 7 years of age , the memories are unreal , my gradads brothers sold juicy fruit and macaroon in the celtic end , tears of joy
Best football documentary ever made. The patter sums up the team spirit that season... And the fans and players never let each other down that year led by the giant of our leader Billy McNeill "Happy birthday dear Celtic..." 💚
The Centenary Season was brilliant. Every game home n away. Cups as well. So many last minute goals to win games. And I was Clashed up on the world famous Lisbon Lions bus. Apart from the Double Treble years it was my best season I ever saw. And the thing is: we KNEW we'd win the league. It was pre-ordained. Magical.
The number of games won in the dying minutes was phenomenal that season. Big Billy famously said that there is a sort of fairy-tale element to Celtic. That season certainly got me thinking that there was some kind of spiritual thing influencing results and performances. It just felt as if nothing was going to stop the club from marking its centenary year with a league win, and or a Cup win. It was destined to be and it was a privilege to have been lucky enough to have been a very small part of it. Happy days 💚🤍🧡😍
I was 11 years old & was at a lot of the games but I'll never forget the semi and the final, my 1st final ... Brilliant!! My mum wouldn't let me go the year after when wee Joe Miller scored to beat the Huns but still.. Another great day 🇮🇪✊🏻🇯🇴✊🏻
How many goals did we score with a cpl of mins to go that season a year none of us will forget i remember the Dundee supporters with a banner that read "congradulations Celtic p.s. happy birthday" on the day we clinched the title to win the cup in the fashion we did was written in the stars magic memories
Best day of my life as a Tim simply untouchable the sheer joy and ecstasy of that day will live with me till the day I die still got ma ticket framed wi ma dads
I’ve never understood why Rangers were not stripped of all their titles during their illegal activities. It’s no different from doping scandals where winners are stripped of their medals.
Still ma favourite season off all and was lucky enough to me at nearly every game that season, the amount off goals wee scored Von last couple minutes was unbelievable 🍀
Andy walker was brilliant for celtic, later on andy seemed to allways be brought on as a substitute with 20 minutes to go, i could never understand why he was not the first choice, i have never heard andy talk about that situation, would be interesting to hear his thoughts on why this was happening to him, as he was a player that could allways be relied on to score goals
he was never good enough to be a 90 minute player....a good goalscorer, but totally limited as a front man...........got incredibly lucky to get the gig at celtic................................
Celtic managed a double on the birthday bhoys no disrespect to any club or Rangers but 1988 was Celtics year yet look at what followed Rangers where unstoppable brilliant.

As a Manchester United fan I've got to thank Celtic for the summer of 87 for selling us Brian mcclair!!
He was a great player. I thought hedve actually done better than he did

Celtic in the sun at Hampden before the all seater and zero atmosphere.Totally chockablock and fans going mental. Magic day that was too.

Let's just be thankful they had to be the early days man city to dethrone us🍀
Rangers spend spend spending money they never had Serves the Cheatco right....
Loved that team, who would've thought Andy Walker would ruin his legacy by becoming an utter prrrick in his role as an alleged 'pundit'

Impossible to watch this and not think of how appalling Scottish goalies were back then. Check all 3 goals from the semi final.

Is it possible to share previous Jock Stein video with a direct link privately?

They don't talk about Douglas McGuire one of the Celtic Billy boys for Celtic football team 1987
