It's the first time I've tried to make an animatic, so it's horrible. After spending like 5 days on this I finally finished it.

How do I cope with Jason Grace's death:
1. Ignore The Burning Maze
2. Be in denial
3. Remember that he's actually dead
4. Cry. A lot.
@Hannah Weisinger You gotta move on sooner or later. Also I think Jason would want her to be happy, and if the girl-whose-name-I-forgot makes Piper happy, why not?
People deal with grief differently, some take long to move on with their lifes and some don't. Just because she is seeing someone new also doesn't mean that she doesn't love Jason anymore or that she isn't still grieving.
As far as I remember, we only saw Piper and girl-whose-name-I-still-don't-remember almost kissing once, that doesn't necessarily mean that they're in a relationship and even if they are, they may break up again, we simply don't know enough about them and their relationship to judge it.
@Hannah Weisinger In a way, I’m kinda glad that Piper found a girl. I just feel like it would be weird if she started dating another boy.
A lot of people in the replys are saying that Jason's death was good for the LGBTQ+ rep in the series, but Piper could have ended up with a girl regardless of wheither or not Jason died. The two had broken up before he died anyway. And for the record I am not being homophobic, I am a ace-demiro-panro genderfluid person. His death was horable and tramatic for me as a reader. It has been 2 years and I have not been able to bring myself to read Tower of Nero. I have not been able to get over the death of a charactor and move on with a series. For some people maybe it wasn't as big a deal as it was for me, I know that I constintly have my family telling me that "it's okay. He wasn't real. Don't work yourself up" but I get emotionaly attached to charactor and deeply care about them, and I know that that is the case for a lot of people. So please don't undermine that pain. The deaths of charactors I love causes my mental health to severly dicline because they have become like real people to me.

I feel like Jason dying was probably difficult for all of the characters, but the hardest for Piper, Leo, and Nico because they were all really close with him. And Thalia too of course!
Honestly I feel like even Reyna would have been really affected aswell. I wish people can remember that Reyna and Jason used to be besties before he left and something like that probably doesn’t change 😢

In highschool I played Orpheus in a school show and won an award for my performance. It was admittedly a comedy and a ridiculous caricature of orpheus, but ever since I've felt a connection to the character, and I love the parallels in the riordanverse. I know this is two years old, but I just found it now and I'm officially emotional. Seeing one of my favorite fictional characters step into a role that means so much to me personally was amazing.

When watching this I was just thinking that this is like Bianca except he is more determined and less grieving and I was thinking if this was written that there could be parallels and now I’m just thinking about this and oh my god I’ve been thinking about this for 50 minutes.

Nico takes first immediate action to revive Jason grace, as soon as Apollo claimed his godhood. With the assistance of Hermès the messenger god, The di Angelo works through a huge deal of hardship and get to his loved one. Saving him from the underworld and reviving him and reminding Jason of his mortal spirit still lingering inside him. And Jason’s respond to this was a gentle, genuine beam. And that’s all Nico di Angelo every asked for.
The story is cute! :< I’m tearing up! Anyways I’m here to ask permission to write a short story according to the animatic, it’ll mean the world to me. I’ll respect your choice not to. Anyways this was the best thing I’ve seen in ages! Well done!

Nico stumbled through the forest, searching for a certain god of thieves.
“Hermes!” He called, “I know you are there,”
There was no reply, the silence brought the son of Hades desperation. Then, a voice spoke.
“Hey!” The voice said, materializing into the God Hermès, “the son of Hades!”
The god was tall and handsome in a teenage-troublemaker way.
“Where’s Jason,” Nico asked almost immediately,
Hermès smirked and shrugged, “kid, why do you care? You’ll find another friend somewhere,” (my note: damn, Hermès be rhyming)
Nico’s features hardened, guilt and grief flared in his chest “where is he?”
“Why do you wanna know?”
“Where ever he is,” He said defiantly, “is where I’ll go!”
Hermès sighed, turning around, “what if I told you, he was dead in the underworld,”
“The underworld…” Nico muttered,
Hermès narrowed his eyes, “he murmured your name, when he died,”
“…”
“I guess you weren’t listening,”
Nico’s eyes were unbearably dry, yet tears still formed and dripped down his cheek. “I-”
Hermès disappeared before stepping out of thin air beside the son of hades, “so, how far are you willing to go for him?”
“To the end of time,” Nico said, shrugging off Hermes’s hand, “to the end of the earth!”
Hermès tilted his head in interest, his eyes gleaming “you got a ticket?”
“No…”
“Yeah I didn’t think so,” he smirked, “there’s another way, you know?”
Immediately, the sever stated boy’s expression changed, “another way?”
“The path is long and hard,” Hermès warned, “a path that bears no life, are you sure you want to walk this road?”
“With all my heart,”
“With all your heart?” Hermès echoed, “well, that’s a start.”
With a flick of his hand, Hermès changed into his tradition-Greek god form then disappeared.
I gave up like a few month ago because my writing was trash, here’s the first part. Sorry I’m seven month late :(
I’ll try to complete this haha, in another ten month.

i remember exactly when i read the moment jason died.
i was on a plane back from london, where i'd done an internship. a day after the book came out. i lost my wallet and the mom of the family i stayed with had bought the book for me as a gift, knowing how badly i'd wanted it.
the flight wasn't long, only about an hour or so, but i'd been reading since i got the book. not non-stop - i had to sleep and pack, say goodbye and get on the plane, of course, but whenever i could, i'd squeeze in a few pages.
i'd seen someone say it online. *jason dies.* i was reading it, praying they were wrong. they must've been kidding, right? jason can't die. he's one of the seven, the son of jupiter, somehow he seemed out of death's reach.
about five minutes before landing, i turned the page, and it happened. i had to bite the inside of my cheek, hold back the tears, and deny. deny, deny, deny. this wasn't really happening.
of course, my denial was in vain. when i stepped on the ground, finally back home, he wasn't magically alive. no leo-style reveal when i finished the book. it hadn't been a dream.
for weeks, it was all i could think about. i don't think i grieved a fictional character that way before.
this is what got me into Hadestown the musical and im so happyy its literally my fav musical now and i makes me love pjo, hoo, and toa so much more!! thanks so much

I’ll admit, I don’t ship Jasnico (because Will and Nico is an OTP of mine), but this was extremely well done, and everything fit extremely beautifully. You’ve got an immense amount of skill and talent; please, don’t sell yourself short!

This gives me an idea! You know how Apollo lost some of his oracles well what if Nico is one of his new oracles? It makes sense because his eyes were glowing green and when he sang he cleared the Green smoke

Hi! So I had an idea! This, but Will looking for Nico. Like Nico went to Tartarus to look for the voice, but he left without telling anyone. So Will put the pieces together and went to Hermes. And he goes through Tartarus to get to Nico, facing monsters along the way. Just an idea!

Oh my gosh, this was so freaking beautiful! And that ending art of Jason was done perfectly, but man it was heartbreaking! I do have two minor critiques for you about this, though. The spelling of the word "coming" throughout this piece of art was a little bit distracting at times. I didn't want to jump to any conclusions (after all - we're only human ;) ), which is why I see it as "minor". My other one mostly centers around that small scene where Nicole gave Cerberus a loaf of bread. The "hounds" that the song is referring to, doesn't actually have anything to do with Cerberus. It's actually referring to the hellhounds. A fun little tidbit about Cerberus:
Edit: Because the (tablet version I have won't let me edit my comment, I'll finish it here.) Fun little tidbit about Cerberus: In the actual "Orpheus and Eurydice" myth, Orpheus is able to walk past Cerberus. And literally all he did to calm/soothe the giant, three-headed dog was sing to him while he played his lyre (it's kind of like .... an ancient version of a miniature harp). These were more or less, the only two things that "missed the mark" per say, with me. Other than that, I really enjoyed this concept of Jason being the one that Nico goes down into the underworld, even if he might be risking everything in order to free his friend.
