SSC Tuatara Interior

- Inspired by Jason Castriota's exterior styling, we carried some of the aerospace inspired design, as well as the car's exterior design features, into the interior of the Tuatara.
The main gauge cluster area is a glass screen that is lit up by Pico projectors behind, and is similar to a HUD (Heads Up Display). On the driver's side, 2 smaller HUD displays, are located on each side of the steering column; their design inspired by the Tuatara's rear winglets. On the right, the HUD displays the current gear of the car, and is flanked by a shift indicator light tree that provides the driver with valuable shift timing information. The left HUD displays any vital information the driver chooses. These settings are available through a menu on the central command console.
The Tuatara will provide a unique, yet thrilling experience to its passengers by making them feel like more of a co-pilot instead of just a tag-along. Included in front of the passenger seat are 2 small auxiliary screens that provide the co-pilot information about the vehicle and their current experience, like its current speed, RPM or BHP. The Tuatara is one of the first production vehicles in the world to give this level of attention to the driving experience of the passenger. Just on the left side of the central console is the red "START" button, which when pressed initiates a clockwise-motion lighting sequence on the red lights located around the start button. The engine turns on immediately when all the red lights have illuminated.
The central console has a large touch screen. The buttons located near the touch screen control other important functions, like traction control, driving modes etc. The holes pattern on the top of the central console area are inspired by the hole patterns on the Tuatara's exterior body panels, and function as a central vents that circulates the cabin air.
The exterior hole pattern design inspiration is not limited to the central console, but is also visible on the door panels, along the base of the windshield where it serves as the defrost vents, and along the rear console positioned between the seats. Large woofers are located in the lower portion of the door panel design as part of the Tuatara's premium sound package.
Displayed in this interior fly-through are both the 7-Speed H-Pattern manual gear shift, as well as the steering column mounted 7-Speed paddle shift available as an option on the Tuatara.
The central AC vents are inspired by the Tuatara's twin central exhausts. The side AC vents are inspired by the 4 rocket exhaust design found on the Space Shuttles. Optional Interior colors will consist of a 2-tone appearance accented in exposed carbon fiber and elegant touches of metal.
The door pulls of the Tuatara are meant to resemble the styling of the flying buttresses from the rear sides of the car's exterior.

Love that interior. It's simple, without massive amounts of knobs, buttons, and switches, and it goes very well with the exterior design.

YES!!! Top of the steering wheel looks a bit...off to me, as does the huge family crest emblem in the center, but I'm loving everything else; especially in red and black. It's officially one of the best looking interiors I've ever seen. Up there with the likes of the Pagani Huayra, Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche 918 Spyder, and the Corvette Stingray Concept(imo).
Of course, haters gonna hate, so let's see how long it takes for people to start making fools of themselves.

Its looking great SSC if I had the money I would be buying one myself and bring it all way down here to Australia. I cant wait for you to take back the top speed record from Bugatti, because I know it will so up set a lot of people around the world but it will make me very happy. KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING.......

This model will certainly distinguish the brand from the norm. It may even spark other SSC car stylings afterwards. It's very Hotwheels looking also.

You should see what the new SRT Barracuda is gonna look like. Unfortunately no one here on youtube have the real photos of it. Its in the latest edition of Car and Driver magazine.

Kid? I'm 50 yrs old! I own 30 cars right now. At least 250 in the last 25yrs. It doesn't take a million dollars to put together a high quality digital prospectus. I've done it for a few grand to sell several of my cars.

@SSCautos I saw in the vid that the Ultimate Aero is better 'cause it have more acceleration & bugatti can only pass it seconds later (at a long straight only) after the UA hit the top speed , the rest of the time the UA will b in the head & it perform better at the turns 2.

This is the prototype design and the production version looks slightly different
the only issue I have with the interior is that the steering wheel is a little too vertical when it should be a bit more horizontal. The steering wheel looks like it might be too tough to put under full lock.

@SSCautos i thought the top speed was 275mph, which is clearly depicted in the video. and i think 275mph is faster than the bugatti which gets about 268mph

Wow...reading comments and it's hilarious.. they could have lined it with gold leaf, studded it with diamonds, covered the seats with leather from God's own holy cow, and used glowing magical dust for displays and some idiot would have something to complain about. It matches the exterior and looks very sleek and futuristic

@brooklyntheredone I dont own anything made by Apple, the fact that I think the Tuatara's interior looks like a giant iPad has more to do with the fact its layout is exactly like an Ultimate Aeros, but its done in shiny-looking white stuff with a huge touchscreen in the middle. And I am a huge SSC fan, and would rather have a UA than a Veyron.
When are we gonna see the top speed run? I would love to see that. Before i buy one.. =]

@TatsushigeJapan: Um the planet I live on is called earth. Where Toyota and Volkswagen used to hold the 1st two spots. But now the #1 spot is held by GM, so yeah Toyota sales have slightly decreased, mostly here in the U.S.
I can respect that terminology. But the reason why I personally dont call corvettes and Vipers "muscle cars", is because their characteristics are just too different than actual muscle cars like the mustang, camaro, and the Challenger. But I can respect your terminology. Two cars that I consider to be "super muscle cars", would be the new 200mph GT500 and the new Camaro ZL1, mainly because these cars can run with cars double their price tag.

Everyone's economy is shit right now. But remember, America is still the first place that Japan comes to when they want to sell new technology. Our economy may be bad right now, but things still sell better here than they do in European countries. As for a cars, we mostly choose to build cars that the average person can afford. The SSC Tuatara is a car thats gonna be a good example of what American engineering is capable of.

Um no. Vipers are not heavy cars. They weigh right around 3300 to 3400 lbs. Thats basically the same as cars like the Lexus LFA, the SLR Mclaren, and a Lambo Murcielago. Vipers are not muscle car. They are much more aerodynamic and lighter than muscle cars. An example of american supercars that does not lack in handling are the Ford GT, the Corvette ZR1, Mosler Mt900s, Saleen S7, and the Viper ACR is currently sitting in 4th place on the Nurburgring for fastest hot lap.

I was expecting so much more than this! I was expecting brushed aluminum bespoke gauges alcantara, leather beautiful accents wood detailing but this looks like you glued some xboxes together with an apple laptop and said "ok this will work" such a dissapointment,I can't believe there are people here that think this interior looks good,and the headsup displays look so tacky,you guys almost had it you ditched the aero aka lambo replicar and came out with something special, better call pagani ASAP
