Fishing bass on beds with the Nikko hellgrammite

- Hello everyone, today I'm back fishing, at one of my favorite spots, the Hammond welcome Center. I found quite a few bass on beds. I usually don't have good luck fishing bass on beds but I was able to capitalize on one in this video. I think I'll be back to target those bass later on.

Nice catches. Glad to see someone from the local Hammond area posting videos. I've been out there before but couldn't find a parking spot. Can you tell me where some good parking might be? Thanks.
I appreciate you watching my videos. I usually park behind the Wendy's by the bike trail. There's always parking there at least when I have gone
FYI: I to the portage river walk this morning about 9. I talked to a guy that was leaving he had a 8 pound skamania steelhead. He said he was out at 3 and they slowed down about 7. He said a guy caught a 12 pounder. I might try it tomorrow not sure, I just want to catch one more for my bucket list. Probably be crowded they start to bit at first light, even if you don’t catch one, you know immediately if someone hooks one and it’s great fun. They are famous for their acrobatics. I will see how I feel.

Awe man. I'm currently in Mexico trying to find some time to fish. They are going through a drought out here unfortunately. Hopefully I can make a video soon. I really appreciate it. I've been trying. Working full-time and spending time with my family makes it very difficult to make videos. But I don't regret it.

If you would like to go fishing sometime, I am all for it. I know of a little spot just down the road from the welcome center if you'd like to try it with me, let me know. I've got two and three lb largemouth bass, some huge catfish and carp also. Has crappie and striped bass also.

Are there pan fish in this lake?
Absolutely they have Crappie and sunfish.
