Nice vid! Getting on a simcoe school is always fun. Looking forward to more.
I was thinking I hope he picked up that cup. But then he did. Great video
That was some nice footage
Wicked video. Great job. Love the respect for the bigger fish and releasing them.
Thank you!!
That is a nice fish.
Loved the sonar footage
This is amazing I’ve been a couple times and never once seen a jumbo perch my biggest is around 8 inches. My son is starting to love it as much as I do. He’s 6 now maybe this will be the year we finally get a jumbo perch.
We wish you all the luck in the world!
Patiently waiting for ice fishing. Fish the east side if the lake using jigging raps - I replace the treble with a stronger eagle claw and bait it with a small red grub - the perch love it. I got some pro-cure ice hole perch gel to sweeten it up. Good luck this winter...
Nice job! LOVE the underwater footage!
Hi There, are you steel fishing?
I am just a bigginer, I would like to get some tips... 4 (perch) (whote fish)
Party is over at Simcoe until next year. Hello Mitch, great underwater footage.
👋🏻
Great video
Thank you!
More underwater footage! Please)
Cool video!
everyone of those fish was bigger then my biggest yellow perch lol Biggest yellow perch I ever saw caught was in a pond on long island ny, had to be at least every bit of 3 lbs and oddly enough it was the only yellow perch I ever saw caught out of that pond. Believe it or not, those ponds on long island had some of the biggest brim, bass and pickeral I have ever seen, no one fished for them and no one ever removed them to eat if they did. secret panfish paradise.
Awesome vid! What underwater cam were you using? I was on Simcoe today, and had a fun time fighting jumbos! Dropped you a 👍and subbed.
We use the Marcum LX-9 underwater camera.
Awesome, we love the jumbos!
Well done. You guys certainly found some nice yello bellies.
It was hard holding up and waiting for the schools!
Congrats you figured out how to get the camera working.
Shout out us eh
New subscriber. Number 666... that doesn't seem to bode well, but really loving the ice fishing content guys. If you ever wanna hit some MN hardwater, hit a brother up!
We appreciate it! Thank you!
I do a lot of lake Erie and get jumbos like that every trip and it saves me a big drive
Where you put in at?
When drilling a hole in your hut put auger in reverse ans it pushes the slush back down the hole
Ya you catch them and throw back I'd be taking them home for lunch
We keep our fair share once and a while. But we live far away and not always convenient to keep!
Well done gents... Did you guys pick up a Rapala sponsorship?
Thank you!
Mitch has been with Rapala for a couple years now :)
Nice video! How far did you place the camera from your lure? Same hole? few feet over?
Thank you! About a couple meters away from our lures.
Golden fish
Great video. When you guys go out are you dropping the camera looking for structure, transitions or weeds on the flats for perch?
Thank you!
Not really. We generally know where to look for perch. The camera is just fun to see how they react and get footage for the viewers.
What model camera do you use to film underwater??
We use the Marcum LX9 underwater cam
What depth do you usually start looking for them at when they start moving into pre spawn?
Typically, you can find jumbos at a big range of depths (7-45 FOW) in January and early February. Around late February and March is when we usually stay shallow on flats and rock piles.
Thanks for the info, local reservoir I've been fishing I have had good luck between 25-40 fow so far. But relativley new to perch fishing. Will start looking to move shallow at the end of february.
where about is this? looks like its just off the shore of thorah island?
No sir, but there can be good times had around Thorah sometimes!
how far was the camera set from the bait?
Roughly 5 feet
Why would you risk your life on a frozen lake and not keep any that's crazy
I feel more safe on a foot of ice than driving on the roads everyday.
These big mommas need to spawn! We still keep some smaller ones the odd time but love catching them.
releasing them? They are the best eating.
Perch are definitely one of our faves! But not all the time do we feel the need to keep for a meal.
Get the camera down.
LITTERBUG
LOL, watch the rest as I pick it up and never litter on purpose. We always keep our waters clean. No respect for people who litter on purpose...
Sonar bonar
Salam allah
Innisfil?
Nope, opposite end of the lake!
“You wanna keep some? Nah, I don’t wanna fillet anything tonite” .... WTF?
3 hour drive home makes me sleepy lol

Why in the hell go fishing if your not going to keep them ?
Sometimes we do, sometimes we dont. Can still have fun without keeping any. On top of all that, we live far away and dont always feel like cleaning fish after a long drive back home.
Keeping fish that big can really hurt the populations. They are practicing great conservation of the fishery. No need to keep any perch over 10" they produce a lot of eggs.Keep up the great work guys!!!
@@robchapman3681 Well said Rob, C&R is where its at!
Right off the bat you start your video by throwing trash on the lake. Doesn't say much for you or your character.
Watch a few seconds later as it was clearly a joke and I pick it up on camera. We always clean up our trash and any other trash we see from other people. We keep the waters that we fish clean!
wow man just wow🤦♂️ ^^^^^^ troll^^^^^^^^^
They picked the trash up but the amount of time they take for video and pics is ridiculous. If you're going to release a fish just release it.
