Wow that early iron 30 is very cool!!!
I'm 57 and I built models growing up and I don't remember seeing any Johan kits either.
Nice additions to your Stash, Jo-Han kits so many strange variations. Take care thanks for sharing!
Those jo han kits are very cool thank you for sharing Matthew
Hi, as far as I know, that 0 to 100 back to 0 , still stands!
The S/C stands for semi competition. That's a great kit.
Great kit additions to your stash Matt. Awesome 3D parts. My favorite kits are Jo-Han. I have many in my collection.
The Targa is the description of a open cabin door to door removable top. Porsche, Nissan , and others have had these and may custom cars and trucks.
love those early iron series kits and those johan kits are holy grails 😁🤩😎ps your 3d parts are the chit thx Matt🤗
I would love to see a Daytona coupe kit in 1/24 or 1/25
Very cool haul! I remember picking up Jo Han kits into the mid 90s new at my local hobby shop.
I believe the ad for the cobra was o to 100, back to 0 in 14 seconds
Awesome kits Matthew.
Awesome kits and cool update 👍🏿
That Porsche Targa is a very nice kit to build. Targa is open roof like the T/Bar roofs the firebird has,and those golden oldie Jo/han kits are also nice i guess when they are build up completly
There was the Targa Florio which was a famous car race run in Sicily I believe .
Great stash adds. Have a great day!!!
Thanks!
The 55 chev truck is a real challenge. I have a really old version of it, and I'm not sure if it had glass.
That Torino kit is a holy grail kit for me. Usually too rich for my blood! Someday……Maybe JR Salvinos will make a new one.
👍🏻👍🏻
I have done 3 Jo Han kits-( 31 Cadillac V16 Limo,64 Plymouth Belvedere #43 Richard Petty Stock Car and 70 Olds 442).. and all 3 built up quite nicely for me!!
I have also done that 1/48 Atlantis 55 Chevy Stake Rack and it also came out quite decently I think..
Cool kits
Those .monogram 30s are cool kits... I took the touring and coupe and swapped the parts and made a stock touring and custom coupe really easy 👍👍👍🙏
I'm jealous
Cool kits Matthew. The box art photo of that Cobra kit is at LAX airport in Los Angeles. I believe its a restaurant.
Cool!!
The Shelby 427 Cobra SC box art shows the terminal building at the Los Angeles International airport. . Carol Shelby's Shelby American manufacturing plant was based at LAX during the period when he was building the Cobra roadster , the Cobra Daytona , the Ford GT 40 , and the Ford Gt 350 Mustang until Ford pulled the plug on Shelby .
Cool!!
I have done a couple of Model As-( MPC 28 Model A pickup and Revell 30 Model A Woody Wagon)... Both came out quite nicely I think...

At 7:28, the Revell 1:25th-scale kit of the Ford Tudor two-door sedan one likely can build stock or modified in some fashion. For me, factory stock, showroom new, original parts and paint colour scheme.
"Porsch" vs. "Porsche"... depends on the region and dialect of Germany. I took high school German, and we quickly learned there are differences in pronunciation.
Similar to "coupe". Some say "coo-pay", I learned to say "coop".
In this instance it is a family name, and the family pronounces it Porscha.
Torino kit is excellent! Has the correct chassis with coil springs in the rear, not leaf springs. A real beauty!
Cool!!
The Shelby Cobra was Carroll Shelby's modification of the British AC Ace roadster. The Ace became the Cobra when Shelby first substituted the Ford 289 cid V-8 for the Ace 4-cylinder engine in a modified frame. The 427 was added later, accompanied by more extensive modifications to the frame and body to accommodate the much larger and more powerful engine.
Love the additions. I too like to add kits to the stash..haha.
The back ground on the box art is LAX Airport.
Nice haul Matthew, thanks for sharing. I just bought that Shelby Cobra S/C kit over the weekend. I was going to look at your website to see if I could find a more detailed 427 and better wheels and tires for it. The kit is already nicely detailed but it would could be even better. I really like that MG, especially because it's 1/16 scale. Talking about that Continental kit and building kits from that era. Those were the kits I cut my teeth on. Definitely not the quality of today's kits. 👍👍
in Canada they say PORSCH E!
i have 2 1/16 scale academy kits, one is the Mercedes Gullwing, VERY fiddly!! also a 1931 ford... which even has the flowers engraved in the side glass !
👍🏻👍🏻
Matthew, we need to stage an intervention. At the rate you are accumulating kits there will be none left for anyone else.
He can have my share. I already have more than I'll ever build. 😅
Lol!!
Lol! I coul never build what I've got!
😅
Cool stash adds!!. I got some great deals on Kits at a car show last weekend and I am planning on doing a video on them later today...
Cool
Nice haul, and great gifts. In your last video you showed us a twin turbo big block Chevrolet engine. Yours looks a lot like the one from Iceman Collections. Thanks for sharing.
Everybody including Iceman get their files online from sites like Cults3d. Unless you yourself create your own files or hire someone to do so.
It's from the same designer.
@@modelcarvideos5829 Ok. I did not know that.
About the time of the first OPEC embargo in the early 70's, companies started licensing lawsuits. Disney had set the pattern for this, and the hobby lines were a natural target. JO-HAN had originally issued kits with the correct decals for Ramchargers, Sox & Martin, Mickey Thompson, etc. Subsequent issues carried the generic substitute decals. This alone is why many hobbyists detest lawyers.
We who build aircraft and military vehicle models deal with this nonsense too. I just finished the old vintage Monogram WWII Jeep kit, but they had to call it "Off-road Vehicle"! Couldn't use the name Jeep. 😮
👍🏻👍🏻
The Continental Mark II was made for model years 1956 & 1957.
Cool stash adds Matthew 👍 I would love to build a Jo-Han kit some day. I was the same way, i didn't know anything about Jo-Han kits when i got back into the hobby and got serious. My dad build some model kits when he was young, but didn't know anything about Jo-Han kits either 🤷♂️👍😎
Now remember brother the Lamborghini is pronounced count-tack.... hahaha 😂. Cool video brother!
Lol!!!
S/C = Semi Competition
The amt 69 or70 Galaxy taxis has the same air port back ground on the box art
Cool!
Cool stash adds, why do people drive pickup trucks and don't haul anything? Lol
targa refers to the top, the box art on the blue cobra is lax aka los angeles airport
👍🏻👍🏻
The best example is Kansas vs Arkansas.
👍🏻👍🏻
The Lincoln Continental was a very special car. So many special and unusual things about it. Worth looking it up online. Ford lost money on every one they built.
👍🏻👍🏻
Opossums and Possums are 2 different animals. 😁
Down here in Florida, it's the same critter, a rat on steroids with saw teeth. 😅
Lol!!
Nice haul, Matthew, and great looking 3d parts.👍
Thanks!
Nice stash adds! Isn't the word coupe pronounced "kupa"?? lol Man....I wish you had that gasser front end about a month ago. I scratch-built one for a '60 Corvette. That was an experience!
Nice 🤠
Talking about the English language. Ask someone how to pronounce the word...GHOTI. According to the rules of English this is pronounced FISH. If you take the GH from the word, enouGH, you get an 'F' sound. If you take the 'O' from the word wOmen, you an 'i' sound. And if you take the 'TI' off of any word in the English language that ends in 'TION' you get a 'SH' sound. Therefore...GHOTI must spell FISH.
I too love the Model 'A's'. I fell in love with them while, as a kid, I helped my neighbor restore a '29 Model A. And...I have the '55 Stake Body, but haven't opened it yet.
Lol!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They are called gnat.. god d#@ nat lol. But im with you on the porsche/porsch thing lol.
Lol!!
It's a family name. It's spelled Porsche, and the e is pronounced as an a
Tomato Potato
To *may* to Po *tay* to
To *mah* to Po *tah* to
😂😂😂😂
Lol!!!
Germans always pronounce the final letter "e".
French and English speakers almost never pronounce the final letter "e", e.g., coupe. Different languages have different phonology (rules of pronunciation).
How one pronounces a word, especially a name (or a derivation thereof), reflects one's culture and heritage, therefore showing its importance, not just to the individual.
Germans capitalise ALL nouns; for example, potato: "die Kartoffel" (the word "die", pronounced "dee", is the feminine form of the English word "the"); tree: "der Baum" (the word "der", pronounced roughly like "dare", is the masculine form of the English word "the").
Words like "gnat", "gnu", "gnarled" derive from an earlier form of Greek, which the native speakers pronounced the letter "g". The word for cat, "Katze" one says "kaht (almost like "cot") seh".
To understand all these, one would have to learn about language. I am good at spelling, writing, and reading (I am an aspiring novelist and essayist, and classical vocalist), though I am NOT a maths whiz!
Since you started the video about how to pronounce Porsche, I started to notice other weird pronounciations. Sorry about that.😉
-Excess Cobra
-Lamborghini 500 quattrovalvol built in Suzuka city
Nice stash adds.👌
There is a che in Porsche. Google pronunciation.🏁
The name Porsche is pronounced the way you're already pronouncing it, but with an -ah at the end. And I'm offended that you're pronouncing it wrong. I swear, there could be tears!
Anyway! The Monogram 427 Cobra kit is amazing.
👍🏻👍🏻
Does the Lamborghini have a engine?
I think it does but not much detail.
